With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Mizuki sighed as she looked at her chair... She could hardly see, but she noticed that the guy had took off his hoodie and placed it on her chair, and his mask as well. Maybe it was time to go to bed...
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!
"Mizuki, you in there hun?" Mizuki's mom was at the door! What was she gonna do...
"Quick, hide under my bed!" she whisper so that she was not heard then moved to her door. She rubbed her eyes a bit, trying to make herself look tired.
"What is it mom?" Mizuki asked sleepily, while cracking the door to see what her mom wanted.
"Oh, sorry hun. I didn't know you came back in from sitting outside. Have a good night hun." Her mom smiled and walked down the hall to the kitchen to turn off the light. Looked like Mizuki was in the clear.
She closed her door and locked it again. "You can come back out now." she mentioned as she sat back on her bed. "So, what's your plan? Like what are you gonna do? Stay here for the night?"
Neko's head bolted up when he heard a knocking. He knew where this was going. He darted toward the girl's closet and closed the door until it was only slightly cracked. She then told him to hide under her bed. In response he poked his head out of the closet and gave her a dumbfounded look.
"I think my place works better than your suggestion. You might want to hide the hoodie though."
He listened to the girl, Mizuki, as she talked to her mom. He found his finger nails digging into her closet door. She had a mother who was nosy. Nosy and intrusive. He hated her, not Mizuki, but the mother. He wanted nothing more than to spring out of this closet and hurt her. He wanted to use his powers and tear into her. He found that his hand had actually gone about the transformation and his claws dug into the door heavily. When the mother left his left hand reverted back into being a hand. Her door, however, remained with the four deep scratches from his claws.
Mizuki told him he could leave the closet, which he did. He looked over at the closet door and gave her a nod towards it.
"Sorry about what I did to your door. Mothers piss me off."
"So, what's your plan? Like what are you gonna do? Stay here for the night?"
"Ha, not unless the cops are in this neighborhood all night. I didn't even really want to come here. The rain, however, made it unavoidable. As soon as that lets up I'm probably going to go."
Almost as if on cue, the rain picked up even further and began to piss and pour outside. He looked out the window and sighed; he was going to be here for a while.
"Sorry about what I did to your door. Mothers piss me off." The boy nodded towards the closet door.
Mizuki's jaw practically fell off! One, that was her closet, and now there was a hole in the door! Two, what would she tell her parents!? "Oh, hey mom, I decided to test my nails out on the door." or, "Sorry dad, I was sleep walking and I punched it." Three, how would she ever cover it up? With a blanket? Try fixing it herself? She isn't very good with power tools! She had no idea what she would do about this, but she was curious, how did this boy do that?
"What the hell did you do?" Mizuki asked in an angered whisper. "How did you I should be asking! What are you?"
Mizuki moved over and started to inspect the door. The boy then decided to answer her previous question...
"Ha, not unless the cops are in this neighborhood all night. I didn't even really want to come here. The rain, however, made it unavoidable. As soon as that lets up I'm probably going to go." Right as the boy finished what he was saying, it began to pour down rain. What a situation for him!
Mizuki looked out the window after moving to it. "Well... You can stay here. I don't mind, and my parents won't know unless you come out at breakfast, but more than likely, you'll be gone before that." Mizuki offered her own room to this stranger. "But first... You gotta tell me your name."
Now the girl that he had followed was getting upset with him. The hell was her problem? Neko had apologized for it and all. What did she want from him? It was irrational that she wasn't willing to just forgive him. After all, this was fucking Neko. Deep down, he knew that he should apologize. Wait...no. No he shouldn't. She was a woman; they didn't deserve equal treatment.
"Look, I apologized beforehand. I don't think I should really have to apologize again. It's a goddamn door. Replace it or something. Shit."
With that he wandered over near her window and closed it slowly. Not wanting water to get into the room, Neko made sure that the window was shut air-tight. Watching the rain beat again the window mercilessly, he let out a rather loud sigh. He would be here for a while it seemed. He turned his back to the window and slid down to sit in front of it. Leaning back, he closed his eyes a little; he was so tired.
However, this bitch wasn't going to let him rest it seemed. She asked him his name. Letting out another sigh, Neko opened his eyes with an angry expression that was most likely lost on the dark. Staring up at her, he could actually make her out very well. His powers made night-vision a normalcy.
"It's commonplace to present one's name before asking that of another."
"Look, I apologized beforehand. I don't think I should really have to apologize again. It's a goddamn door. Replace it or something. Shit."
Mizuki crossed her arms and glared at the boy. Really? How would she fix it? How would she even find the money to fix it? It's not like she got an allowance! She decided to let it go, this time.
"Ok, I really shouldn't be getting on your case. It isn't your fault you're an idiot." Mizuki spoke in a somewhat sarcastic tone. It was clear that she was only messing with him. Would he understand, who knew? Hell, who cared?!
The boy sat in front of the window sighing heavily. Maybe he was tired? Then why would he be out so late? After she asked him his name, he sighed yet again.
"It's commonplace to present one's name before asking that of another."
Mizuki sighed. Why should she tell him her name if he wasn't willing to give his own name, hell, this was the third time that she had asked, maybe it was the second... Either way, she wanted to know, so she decided to go along with it.
"Fine." Mizuki huffed and tightened her arms that were previously crossed. "My name is Mizuki, now, what is your name?"
She began to apologize to him for being an irrational bitch. That was great. He didn't want to have to tear into her too. He didn't much care for violence but if threatened he would definitely have to. She didn't seem like the type to get all angry and threatening. However, she was a woman. Women tended to be angry little numbers who were more than capable of hurting someone just for shits and giggles. Then she showed her true colors by calling him an idiot. He scowled at this and thought of a not so clever retort.
"If I'm so stupid then why did I hide in your closet instead of under the bed like you suggested? I wouldn't have fit under there. Plus, I could've just come and gotten you in a shit-ton of trouble. If they find me up here, we both know what they'll think."
After that, he stood up and walked around her room a little. He settled for a little patch of carpet between her bed and the window before sitting down on it gracefully and looking around. His eyes had adjusted to the room now. He could see it all almost perfectly. Not as well as it would be if he were to use his powers. But, this would just have to do for now. She told him that her name was Mizuki. Wait, hadn't her mother said that? Yeah, he had forgotten that already. Damn, he was the opposite of a steel trap. He was a...ummmmm...errrrmmmmm...he was something that let a lot of things in and out. Yeah, that's what he was.
"If I'm so stupid then why did I hide in your closet instead of under the bed like you suggested? I wouldn't have fit under there. Plus, I could've just come and gotten you in a shit-ton of trouble. If they find me up here, we both know what they'll think."
Mizuki scratched the back of her head. She didn't quite think of it like that. And apparently he didn't quite get sarcasm either. Actually, he took it serious from the sound of. She decided to play off of part of what he said, just to see how he would react.
"Y'know, maybe we could be doing what they think we would be doing. I got a bed right here, and my mom was just getting ready to go to bed..." Mizuki giggled a little bit from her semi-joke. "Oh, I'm kidding by the way."
Mizuki was gonna have some fun messing with this guy, he seemed to take things serious, and Mizuki, well, Mizuki liked to joke around a bit. Even if it's about herself, she doesn't care.
"I'm Neko. And don't get all pissy with me." He so kindly introduced himself.
"I won't get all pissy if you don't tear another hole in my wall, door, or even floor."
"Y'know, maybe we could be doing what they think we would be doing. I got a bed right here, and my mom was just getting ready to go to bed..."
Neko's eyebrow twitched in anger as he stood up quickly. He took two quick steps and was at her bed. He did this before she had giggled or even told him that she was simply joking. Bending over her bed, he did his best to display his anger with his face. In the dark, this was difficult. However, he leaned in so that she would be close enough to see this look on his face. He wanted her to know that there would be nothing going on. He hated women and wanted them all to know it.
"NO!" He said it with a resolve that should've shaken her. Sometimes when he spoke, he had a way of terrifying people. Maybe they were scared of him or what he stood for. Either way, they didn't know what he was really capable of.
"Oh, I'm kidding by the way."
Neko blinked hard. Taking a step back, he straightened up and walked to the window. Looking outside, he let a small little sigh escape his lips. That rain wasn't letting up anytime soon. He hung his head before turning around to her.
"You know, that really wasn't all that funny."
"I won't get all pissy if you don't tear another hole in my wall, door, or even floor."
He was beginning to see red. It was hard for him to keep calm. Neko could feel his claws coming out again. As long as he could prevent a full release he would be okay. If he released fully, he'd have a hard time preventing his anger. He took a few deep breaths. His powers began to recede and his heat stopped pounding. He then looked at Mizuki and walked back to his patch of carpet.
"You know, if you'd had my past, you'd hate mothers too."
"NO!" A shout. Uh-oh, that could've been heard by her parents, she was hoping they didn't.
"Shhhh!! You're gonna get us caught..." Mizuki put her hand over Neko's mouth in an attempt to quiet him, then he turned to the window for a moment.
"You know, that really wasn't all that funny." Neko said with his head hung.
Mizuki giggled again. It was pretty funny that this kid, around her age, maybe older, maybe younger, was getting mad over something that was so... so hilarious.
Neko returned to his little area that he had gotten comfortable with. "You know, if you'd had my past, you'd hate mothers too."
"Y'know, if you had a past like mine, you'd be able to take a joke. Actually, your reaction was quite comical." Mizuki taunted him once again.
After she said that she put her hand on his mouth. He backed up so fast that he almost fell before spitting a bit out the window. She had touched him. That BITCH had touched him on the mouth. Snarling a little at the relentless rain, he moved away from the window. He was stuck here for a while it seemed. That wasn't good for him. It wasn't good for her if she didn't fucking watch herself either. Grinding his teeth, he began to fight his powers. This bitch didn't think he was fast enough to get out in a hurry? That pissed him off. He turned into a motherfucking cat.
"Mizuki-chan, I can be out of this room before you could fucking blink. You don't know the half of it."
"Y'know, if you had a past like mine, you'd be able to take a joke. Actually, your reaction was quite comical."
He blinked hard at her as he looked up from his little spot on the carpet. What was her deal? Did she want to get hurt? She was playing with fire and fire doesn't like being fucked with. Not bothering to stand up, he reached over for a can of paint from his bag in her chair. With a slight exhale, he threw it at her midsection. He gave a small chuckle at this. Joke about that.
