Night had just fallen in the Soul Society. It was a clear night, cloudless, the moon, a crescent in the sky. It was not hot nor cold, but a pleasant cool that can only be achieved at night. At the top of a large tree lay a particular Shinigami. Ryu lay on a tree branch, staring upward to the stars. They glistened, like diamonds attached to black velvet. This was one of his favorite times of the day. Only the crickets chirping could be heard, a quiet lulling theme. Ryu smiles as he watches the little lights in the sky.

Miu walked silently through the forest, the moon shining above. A small breeze blew her unusual turquoise hair behind her as she continued down the moonlit path. Her zanpakuto, Toketsuhime was strapped to her side and Miu's left hand rested gently on the hilt. Toketsuhime's voice drifted into her head.
"How about we do some singing lessons?" she asked. "It's a nice night out and no one is out to hear you sing."
"Sure," Miu agreed out loud.
"What song shall you sing?"
"A Stray Child," Miu answered. She started to sing. (I do not own A Stray Child the song belongs to it's respective owners.)
"If you are lost in your way
Deep in an awesome story
Don't be in doubt and stray
Cling to your lonesome folly
Now you're too close to the pain
Let all the rain go further
Come back and kiss me in vain
Mother oh do not bother
Hear the chorus of pain
Taking you back to proper ways

The song ended and Miu stopped to rest below a large tree.

During his star gazing another voice began to sing. It's lovely voice was almost as lulling as the sounds of the natural world. He could tell it was a woman, and he could tell she was a fantastic singer. Her light, soothing voice echoing into the night sky. Ryu closes his eyes, enjoying the song. It was getting closer, then, it stopped. Ryu turned over in the tree branch, onto his stomach, then, looked to the ground. There, he saw a lovely woman with long light blue hair. He smiles a bit, and rolls off the tree branch, levitating in the air. He then begins to lower himself to the ground. His feet touch the soft surface quietly, and Ryu begins to clap lightly for the young woman.
"That was fantastic" He commented to her. He flashes her a kind smile and approaches her, extending his hand. "My name is Ryu, what would your's be?" He asks, happy to meet the young woman.

Miu jumped ten feet in the air when a man appeared right in front of her, her turquoise eyes widening in shock. She didn't expect anyone to be out here and that was the reason why she had practiced her singing out loud and not in her inner world. When he started to clap a blush spread across her face. He had said her singing was fantastic but it couldn't of been that good.
"My name is Ryu, what would your's be?"
"I'm Mikazuki, Kiyomi but I like to be called Miu," she answered quickly shaking the man's hand.

Ryu smirks to the woman. He thought he embarrassed her by complementing her singing. His black, spiked hair blew gently in the breeze, his yellow tunic following in suit. She would have noticed that he didn't wear traditional Shinigami robes. Instead, a green tunic, a black long sleeved shirt underneath, and black pants. Along with white and yellow boots. Ryu smiles, and began to speak.
"Miu, that's a cute name. Sorry if I embarrassed you" Ryu chuckles, rubbing the back of his head. Her hair was unusual, he had not seen Turquoise hair before. It was cool though, something that made her different. He smiled at this. "So, what are you doing out her so late at night?" Ryu asks the young woman.

"Just taking a stroll through the forest," Miu answered Ryu's question. She noticed that he wasn't wearing the traditional Shinigami clothes but she pushed it to the back of her mind. She didn't lok the man in the eyes, but instead she kept her gaze on the stars.
"It sure is beautiful out tonight," she commented.
