With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Legault rested soundly in one of the higher branches of a large tree in the middle of the forest. His back leaned against the rough trunk, his legs stuck out straight, aligning themselves against the branch so that the didn't dangle off of it. It had been a bit over a week since he left Hueco Mundo. He had snuck out of Las Noches, something that would have normally alarmed the Espada. But that was typical behavior for Legault, the other Arrancar paid little attention to him as he went in and out of the massive palace. However, this time, he didn't plan on going back. He was tired of living in that desolate, depressing place. Eventually Gin and the Espada would notice the fact that during his time as an arrancar, Legault never killed a single shinigami, attacked a single human, had hardly followed any orders at all. He was a bit surprised that they hadn't noticed something already. Legault stretched out lazily, he was far from any human civilization, it would be safe to let his reietsu flow normally, suppressing it was to much effort. "Ahh, I thought the life of a deserter would be a more exciting one" Legault commented to himself sleepily. "But a bit of rest isn't to bad"

Soifon had cleaned up a troublesome hollow in the area, and the dip in ambient spiritual pressure could be felt for miles.
The drop in pressure made another source stand out more, and it was near.
"Captain," one of the trainees said, "I request permission to check out the new source. It may be another necessary target."
Soifon frowned a bit. She wanted to go home, but she nodded, "We'll move as a unit."
And so they did!
Moments later Legault found himself surrounded by Squad 2 Shinigami who used stealth, and counter stealth tactics to get around Legault, then close in.
Soifon appeared not far from Legault, "Arrancar, what are you doing in this area?" She figured she needed to know.
Huh... Kamair thought to himself. Taichou went out of her way for this one.
The Arrancar before them didn't seem powerful in any way, shape, or form. However, he could be mistaken. Arrancar and Espada had many ways of supressing their reiastu, having even been able to supress it enough to pass off as a Hollow.
However, with an entire group of 2nd squad members, he didn't think this one would get away.
"Arrancar, what are you doing in this area?"
He moved quickly to assume position in order to surround the Arrancar. It was a pretty easy feat, as the Arrancar seemed to be caught off guard.
Too easy... in fact.
What was really going on here? Possessing the perceptive mind that Kamair had, his eyes narrowed ever so slightly. It could be a simple possibility that this was a trap. They could and would not drop their guards.
Legault stared back at Soi-fon, blinking a few times in surprise. "My, my, It would seem that I've been surrounded" he said casually, almost sarcastically, as a friendly smile crept across his face. "Well I suppose it's my own fault for letting down my guard like that".. Legault always seemed cheerful and easygoing on the outside, sometimes this served as a great way to through opponents off
Legault continued to lay down as he spoke to the woman, his guard hadn't even been raised when he was surrounded. "That's not a very polite way to greet somebody" Legault said sarcastically, slowly getting up to stand and face the Captain. "We should start over" he said cheerfully, "Hello, I am Legault Schwartz" he said in a sarcastic politeness as he bowed before the Captain. As he bowed, he glanced around, his lavender eyes darted around quickly as if he was taking in every detail around him.
Suddenly, without warning and without changing position, Legault vanished, the static boom of sonido was all that could be heard. Legault reappeared several yards away on the forest floor, breaking out into a full fledged sprint.
"The arrancar's making a break for it, get him!" a shinigami could be heard shouting. Several shinigami clad in dark, ninja like suits could shunpo'd behind legault, their zanpaktou drawn in attempt to stop him. Legault sonido'd once again, several times in different directions in order to confuse the pursuing shinigami. They were fast for shinigami standards, but Legault was one of the fastest arrancar in all of Hueco Mundo. In only a few seconds, Legault had shaken off his pursuers He dashed straight up a tree, making his way to the center of the trunk before jumping on to a branch. He continued to sprint quickly through the tree tops, his image was just a blur, his footsteps touched the branches so lightly that it seemed as if he was floating half the time.
"I'm sorry that I had to leave so soon, but I couldn't afford to stick around for an interrogation" Legault commented, though surely none of the shinigami were in earshot anymore.

PffffffWHA-THUD! Th-Th-Th-THUD! Several kunai slammed into the tree Legault sprinted by aimed to catch a leg, or two by flesh, or by cloth.
As powerful as Legault might've been, Soifon was right behind him, slipping through the shadows like a ninja nightmare. "You're fast, Arrancar, but you're not that fast," she said with what seemed like a disembodied voice. Shadows flitted here, and there.
Mind games!
"I suggest you surrender, or things will continue towards a bloody path," Soifon said ominously as she continued her mind games, staying hidden.
This one made her curious enough to at least want to know what he was up to before she made a decision. No fight, no real provocation, no proof he's done anything wrong. She didn't want to harass someone that's not doing something wrong, but she wanted to know what he was cooking up.

On command, his weapon changed forms and connected itself as an armguard, blades extending from his knuckle. The Arrancer was fast, but his captain was already in pursuit of him.
With quick percision and perceptability, the young Shingami applied a paralysis poision to his gauntlet before jumping through the trees to pursue the two combatants.
Flash-stepping his way about, he whispered to himself, "A Thousand Apologies."
The exit points between his knuckled opened on command, and he was quick to draw near to the two.
"Taichou." He said clearly, to make sure she knew to get out of the line of fire. With that, he began his barrage of darts, making sure to aim a couple feet ahead of the Arrancar so that he would match it's speed.
Kicking off a branch, he launched himself into the air and high above the fleeing Arrancar, immediately beginning to open fire down at him.
Appearing as if from no where Sayuri's weighted end of her kursarigama Shikai launched right for the Arrancar - the concealment spell of Bakudo, Kyakko, granted her such an element of surprise concealing her from sight, presence, and even hiding her reiatsu. The chain continued to extend far beyond its initial appearance would suggest it could. The weight smashed into the ground narrowly missing the Arrancar with a massive dust cloud exploding from the ground from the pressure it was thrown with.
As the chain retracted - the kunoichi's small, quiet voice mumbled near inaudibly, "Hado No. 58 Tenran...", with a sweep of right hand as it held the sickle end of her kursarigama Shikai - a massive powerful blast of torando-like wind blasted at the Arrancar. The winds shredded through trees and debris of the forest. By this time the weighted end of her kursarigama had fully retracted, which at that point she begun twirling the sickle end of the kursarigama with its chain only to pull it back into her right hand, but pointed it damningly at the Arrancar. An immense bolt of the cold blood lightning fired at him. Whatever the it struck where the Arrancar is or was became encased within ice. Should the Arrancar have lingered there, he too would be locked within it.
As Sayuri stood willowy on a tree branch, that placid, wooden gaze remained as her expression.
Legault's eyes widened as he heard the sharp sound of kunai piercing the bark behind him. He looked behind him to see the Captain that had questioned him earlier right behind him, even gaining on him. "So apparently I have one of the fastest shinigami in soul society chasing me, eh?" he thought to himself as he continued to dart amongst the branches, trying desperately to dodge the attacks of the ruthless women. She was ridiculously fast, he had never seen anyone move like her before. Legault quickly motioned his hand to his belt as several kunai shot toward his body. In a flash of silver and the sound of steel hitting steel, all the kunai fell to the ground. Legault shoved his dagger like zanpaktou back into his belt. The woman was practically toying with him, Legault barely managed to track her movements as she darted through the shadows.
As if it weren't bad enough, it would seem another shinigami had managed to catch up to him. This one fired a round of darts at him. Legault spun around to face the incoming barrage, a smile across his face. He motioned his hand towards the projectiles in a quick sweeping motion. In the same motion, the darts were swept to the side, colliding with the trunk of a tree instead. Though his pursuers might not be able to tell, Legault could manipulate the air around him, a perfect deterrent for projectiles. "I understand now, I must have stumbled upon a 2nd squad group, and I was just unlucky enough to meet their captain" he thought to himself as the pursuit continued
"There are still a few openings, I might be able to escape if-" Legaults thoughts were interrupted by a sudden explosion of dust behind him. Legault saw the glimmer of metal through the cloud of debris as the chain retracted back towards its wielder. "Oh my, there sure are a lot of you!" Legault commented in a carefree, cheerful tone that hardly reflected the dire situation he was in. Just as he finished his sentence, a bolt of lighting shot straight past Legault, barely missing his head as it continued shooting forward, hitting a tree and freezing it solid. Legault breathed heavily as he stared forward for a second, his expression was almost comical. "Just my luck, I'm being chased by the fastest, most determined shinigami I've ever seen in my life! I won't live long at this rate, I've got to find an opening" Legault thought to himself as he continued to dodge their assault.
Legault Abruptly pushed of a tree branch as he landed on it, shooting straight toward his assailants. He dashed straight towards Kamair, whom Legault decided was the weakest of the three, based on their movement and attacks. Legault lashed out with his foot, catching the shinigami in the stomach in a spinning motion. He followed this attack up by grabbing the shinigami by the robes and hurling him toward Sayuri to catch her by surprise. Just as he threw the shinigami at the other, he gathered a considerable amount of reietsu in his hand. He spun around in mid flight, facing Soi-fon and thrusting his fist forward, sending a purple colored Bala flying right towards her. The Bala impacted the ground with a considerable amount of force, sending forest debris and stones flying about. Of course he wasn't aiming to hit her directly, and even if he wanted to, there was little chance he could. "It's been fun" Legault said in his usual cheery and sarcastic tone. He then sonido'd several times, landing on the forest floor and flitting behind tree trunk, trying once again to lose his pursuers. "Hmm, though that did leave an opening, maybe the bala was a bit much? They might think I'm trying to kill them now." he thought to himself as he weighed the consequences of the sudden offensive he had just taken.

Soifon saw the trajectory of the Bala thanks to seeing where his arm was pointed, and she inwardly smirked.
As the explosion happened, she used Shunpo straight through it in an abuse of her increased durability, and just got that much closer to the arrancar, "You'll never escape!" she said with a black hearted tone.
After she witnessed Legault deflecting darts, she figured any more would be useless, so she focused on catching up to him and so she began to flash step. She appeared, vanished in a blur, appeared again, then vanished as she sped after him, and inched closer. Every time she appeared the dark desire to inflict pain seemed to grow more and more intense with a cute smile on her lips, and a death bringing look in her eye. She seemed to enjoy the chase like a hungry fox after some pleasing little mouse as she appeared on branch after branch only to vanish as suddenly as she appeared.
She had to give him one thing... he was fast! It's been a long time since anyone posed even a remote challenge to her, and she might actually thank him for it before her Suzumebachi slides through his skull.
Of course she didn't stop to help her subordinates. She knew they were okay, or weren't cut out for her squad, so either way, their fates were in their own hands.
He watched in surprise as his darts were easily flung to the side, surprising him to some measure. So... aside from his claw, his Shikai was rather useless at a range.
That was annoying.
However, before he could ponder another attack, a flying kick came at him from nowhere. His reflexes and adrenaline primed, he blocked the kick with the metal of his armguard, having the bruise the Arrancar's shin rather badly.
However, what he didn't see coming was the Arrancar's foot flying for the hem of his cloak. In an instant, the lowly Shinigami was flung off his course of movement and towards his teammate.
Kuso! He mentally cursed himself for allowing himself to be surprised and taken by such an action.
However, there was no way he was going to be a burden to his superior. Taking control of the reiastu that flowed from him, he allowed it to flow through his body and let him change the physics about him ever so slightly. Because of that, he canonballed past Sayuri without having crashed into her, but coming damn near to it.
When he finally neared the forest floor, he flipped over and landing squarely in a crouching position, sliding back a few feet on impact. Cursing once again, he shot off, struggling to catch and keep up with the Arrancar.
If this one kept running, how the hell was he going to do anything?
Then one thing crossed his mind, they were in a forest. Growling ever so slightly, the lowly Shinigami pulled out a couple of his standard, ordinary kunai before letting them go. He began to aim them towards large branches and severing them from the trees and allowing them to fall in the way and of the Arrancar.
Now the Arrancar would have to avoid and change his course of movement ever so often, slowing him down ever-so-slightly.
