The Kage brothers were walking through the park on their way home, when both of them saw a strange sight. a girl was standing with her back to them, and people walked right through her. It took Matsori a minute to comprehend what he was seeing, but Ichi cought on right away. They both knew what happened when they saw ghosts, and that was that the monsters were not far behind. both had agreed that their "Accidents" were attacks by these monsters, and they had desperately tried to avoid them since. but just as they were turning to walk the other way, Ichi noticed Matsori's eyes turning red.. he didnt think about it until they reached the next block, when Matsori said that it was getting hard to see. just then they heard a huge crash, and Ichi saw a building get a huge crater, and start to fall. Right next to it, he saw the monster. both started to run towards home, until Matsori started screaming and flailing his arms wildly. Ichi saw that Matsori's eyes were completely red. "Shit." He said.

Hayashi Gekidu had been on patrol duty in Kurakara town when the monster attacked. He quickly made his way to the destroyed building to see a large hollow in the middle of the street. The hollow had extremely small legs at the base of its enormous body and it was leaning forward with its knuckles on the ground. Its arms were as large as its body and were apparently the main support for the hollow. Hayashi released his shikai and instantly went into action.
Hayashi jumped in the air and shouted "MAUL!" as his ninja claw came crashing down on the hollow's chest. The attack struck with incredible force and sent the hollow flying back and crashing to the pavement. The hollow got back to its feet and let out a thunderous roar. Hayashi didn't want to give it time to recuperate and went in for another attack. The hollow raised its arm and swiped at Hayashi. Hayashi put up his claws in order to block the attack but it was too strong. The hollow hit Hayashi and sent him flying to the earth. He hit the ground hard creating a crater in the street. "Damnit, I'm not going to be able to beat this one with strength alone."

Sasuke had been walking along the park a lollipop in hand the small boy who appeared to be about twelve had short silver hair and an orange backpack. Stopping he drops his lollipop smelling something he would like even better he runs off in the direction of the loud roar of a hollow. Arriving on the scene he sees a shinigami doing battle with the hollow, standing back Sasuke mutters under his breath;
"Damn, shini's always ruinin everything... maybe not. Neither of those shini's I ate last week knew about me, maybe they forgot it's been a while... well then lets have some fun"
Finishing Sasuke Jumps high above the hollow releasing fifteen vines from his arms intending to wrap them around the hollow binding it while sending waves of electricity in it. |

Hayashi saw the vines wrap around the hollow and electricity started to course through it. It let out a loud roar as the pain coursed through him. Hayashi saw the new man's vines begin to rip. "Damnit, hes breaking free." Hayashi raised his right arms and punched it into the ground. Roots shot out of the ground and wrapped around the hollow pulling him tightly to the earth. The combined strength of the vines and the roots seemed to be strong enough to hold the hollow. "Nows my chance." Hayashi run towards the hollow's face and leaped up in the air. "Maul!" His claw came crashing down on the hollow's mask breaking it into hundreds of pieces. The hollow began to dissolve into the air.
Hayashi now turned his head towards the new comer. Who is this guy? I'll deal with him in a minute. Hayashi approached the two humans he saw as he made his way towards the hollow. He could clearly see that one of them was in pain and had bright red eyes. "You two, am I correct in assuming you can see me?"

Ichi looked at them man panickedly, and said, "I-I can... but my brother.. he's gone blind.." Matsori heard that and said, "Ichi, what's happening?" Ichi looked back to the man and said, "But yes, he would be able to see you too... Are you a ghost like those..things are after?" Ichi waited for a reply

It was so beautiful, so wonderful, all that energy floating in the air as the hollow began to fade away. Sasuke didn't blink didn't make a sound he just walked towards it his eye's glued to the reddish sparkle of the reiatsu. Stepping forward into the twinkling lights he raised his head and arms slightly as vines sprouted throughout his body, each vine silently touching an individual spot of reiatsu and pulling it's energy along it down into Sasukes body. Completely forgetting his surroundings, the only thought on Sasukes mind is;
"Mmhhh kinda tastes like caramel this was a good one" |

Hayashi looked at the brother who was on the ground. Am I causing his eyes to be like that? Hayashi heard the question. "A ghost? No. I'm a shinigami and that monster over there was no ghost, he was what we call a hollow. What we are are spirit beings. Hollows are spirits who stayed on earth too long and became corrupted. They prowl the earth for humans and other spirit beings to eat. We shinigami protect humans from them. The fact that you and your brother can see us means you have unusual spirit pressure. This is going to attract the hollows to both of you so you need to be careful." Hayashi realized that this was going to be a problem for them. They hadn't seemed to be strong enough to take on a hollow, yet their spiritual pressure was going to be a lightning rod for hollow activity.

Ichi was about to talk when Matsori said he could see a little bit now, that calmed Ichi down a bit, and Ichi said, "Well, that clears up why those things have been attacking a lot more lately.. and those... Hollows, cause Matsori to go blind, and he never gets better until it goes away.. so that answers that... kind of... Listen, we have to go.. our parents will be worried.." Ichi rushed off, taking Matsori by the hand. They soon rounded a corner and dissapeared from sight.
