With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
A day off from work was rare for Morie, so she would do everything she always liked doing on that day. Sleep in until ten o’clock, go out to actually get some food to put in her fridge and then do whatever the hell she wanted for the rest of the day. Thank god it was only the afternoon. Morie hated doing her own thing when it was four o’clock or something. It felt like there was no time to do anything at all, and that she couldn’t fit everything in. Luckily for Morie she was quick when it came to getting the food, and she didn’t really have anything to do after that. So she didn’t feel rushed. The feeling was rare for the woman, and so she took it in as much as possible so she could pine for it later.
Sighing heavily, fixing her black tank-top so it didn’t show anything she didn’t want it to, Morie walked along the sandy beach. She was just wearing sandals, but the sand seeping beneath her feet didn’t really bother her. The sun was beating down on her, and she regretted wearing black skinny jeans. But what could you do? She liked the colour, and Morie wasn’t the type to go for a skirt or shorts when the sun came out. Eventually stopping to look at the horizon, she put a hand through her messy hair and sighed again, a smile slowly appearing on her features.
Eventually the woman went to sit down on the warm sand around the middle of the beach. Not too near the end of the sand, but she was no where near the water. Running around in the sea wasn’t really an interest for Morie, especially when she was alone. When her sisters were with her, sure. They know every trick in the book that made Morie loosen up a bit, and she had to admit, it felt good. But Morie liked being herself too much to change to that laid back girl her sisters somehow created. Crossing her legs, she leaned forward a bit and traced a finger through the sand, drawing random animals. If you could call them that. They were just little circles with lines attached as legs. Morie soon noticed her drawing talent wasn't working for her, and she messed up the sand to get rid of them.
Walking along the beach Zoi was thinking, there were so many things on his mind, he had parked his Harley on a parking lot not too far away, he kept his gun and folded metal bow tucked under his untraditional Quincy robes, he couldn't leave such things on the bike, it was hard on him just leaing the bike there, what if some kid scratched it? The thought alone was more frightening than meeting a hollow even a big one, he adjusted his sunglasses.
The next thing one his mind was things such as, Food, a Crapper and a nice bed, Zoi had not had any of these things in weeks, how ever little people believed it, working as a hollow hunter and ghost helper really didn't pay that well, sleeping in the way sides were horrible and Zoi was tired of having to break in to take a bath, when had he last had a good bath, 4 days ago? Enter Beach.
Now theres only one thing that could keep Zoi off track from all these things even with his sunglasses he spotted her. The female alone in the sand, people were so rarely alone, he had to sneak a peak closer, she seemed kinda attractive, but that was not what worried him, what worried him were the drawing in the sand, Zoi misunderstood the poor drawings, Hollows, this woman was drawing hollows, and she was alone on the beach at this time.
Zoi walked up behind her as she wiped them away, he looked over her shoulder standing tall, speaking with his strong voice. “They weren't that horrible you know, what were they?” he might seem slightly intimidating standing in his full hight and his cloths were torn his head stroked back, and white.
She straightened up when she heard a voice. Why she didn’t even notice his shadow over her she didn’t know. Looking round and up, Morie raised an eyebrow at the guy. Hell, he was a bit scary. His otufit wasn’t something the woman saw every day, and she wondered if he was part of some sort of show that was coming to town. His hair was white, too. Was it dyed? Pursing her lips, attempting not to frown at his appearance, she backed up a bit(still on her butt of course), so she could get a better look at him. They weren’t that bad? Man, this guy didn’t make any sense. Morie let a smirk play on her lips, sliding her hands along the sand, no taking her eyes off of him.
“If they weren’t that bad, you’d know what they were.” she said to him, but answered his question all the same with the same smart-ass-but-not tone, “Just… Things.” In all honesty, Morie was uncomfortable talking to a stranger about figures she drew in the sand. But either way it was someone to speak to, and someone to talk to was nice. Tilting her head to the right, hair falling over her tattooed shoulder, Morie couldn’t help but change the topic to the man in front of him. She was extremely curious as to why he was in such a mess.
“What’s up with your clothes? Get into a fight?” Him getting into a fight was the only thing Morie could think of, but he didn’t seem to have any bruises. Usually the fighters went for skin, not their precious clothes. Slowly she looked him up and down again, inspecting almost everything about him. Morie attempted to make it rather subtle, but subtlety wasn’t always her forte. Of course it wasn’t a surprise to see someone like this. Morie always seemed to attract the weirdos.
Zoi ever perceptional eyes took one short glance over the woman hidden by the sun glasses so no one could see him look at her, and he quickly realized that his suspensions had a foundation, this woman possessed reiatsu beyond a normal human, perhaps she was a hollow in disguise, it was too early to say, he just had to talk with her and find out who and what she was.
Zoi fell directly into her ploy, he forgot to talk more about the figures, and was caught in the chance to talk about himself, who doesn't like to do that in front of a woman like this, he looked down himself. “yes I do, I live of off fighting, it might sound strange but I'm not a bad guy, I fight for those who can't fight back against things they don't understand” he sat down in the and infront of her and put a finger in the sand, and it moved around drawinga face, an evil face, the stribes along the face, and eyes inside of the eyes, teeth that showed as if it was a mask, then a strange body that couldn't belong to a human, a hollow.
“This was my first fight” he said quietly as he motioned to the drawing. “I lost”
Morie couldn’t tell if he was looking her over or not, and it made her feel even more uncomfortable. Was he judging her? He didn’t look much older than twenty, but a lot of people have managed to trick her with their age. Morie could tell he had something about him, and it made her even more curious. Why did all these weirdos come to her? Really? This guy didn’t seem much of a weirdo though. More someone that was just trying to get by in life with what he had. Of course he had to live his life as a fighter, that had to be difficult. She could even tell he hadn’t had a proper wash in a few days, and it almost disgusted her. She’d smelt worse things.
She watched as he sat down, and leaned forward. Pursing her lips as she attempted to understand, the drawing looked pretty scary. Tilting her head to the right even more, the woman glanced at Zoi. What kind of people did he fight? Nah, that was no human. That had to be something she was rather familiar with seeing, and sometimes even fighting herself. Morie didn’t like fighting them, but if it helped her get stronger and helped others, then she’d do it. She didn’t see him as a bad guy though, just because he fought. What he did sounded a lot more interesting than waiting for tables, anyway.
“What to?” she asked as she inspected the drawing, although she knew fine well what it was. Slowly she looked up at Zoi with a sceptical face, but something about her expression showed that she knew completely what a hollow was, "Looks tough."
Zoi looked at his drawing it was very accurate, he remembered that fight all too well, and what it cost him to loose, but at least he had gotten revenge, but it was not enough he had to take on all of them, no hollow could not be allowed to live. No one should suffer like Zoi had, and this woman had the chance to suffer, he had to help her.
“Tough, well some of them are other are fast, it really variates a lot what the do and how they fight, so it all about adapting to the situation, and shooting weapons s the best for that” Zoi spoke with a passion of a fighter apparently he really liked to fight and breath for it. His voice cracked over as he looked at her face it was far more serious.
“You know what a hollow is?” Zoi was worried because she had some spritual power and hollows migth get attrakted by it, he felt that he had to protect ger bi matter what.
Morie stared at the drawing for a moment longer before being drawn back to Zoi when he began to speak. So that was a hollow? Those big things she saw and fought? Listening to his every word, she wondered if she could learn anything more about hollows from him. Morie was, in all honesty, afraid of them. She was just a human, but with some added on powers that some others didn’t have. Morie guessed they varied a bit, but it didn’t really occur to her that every hollow could be different. It made her even more afraid, but attempted to swallow it and be confident. Morie had to be confident before. When she broke her ankle, when she was graduating, when she was confronted by an ex boyfriend about cheating. She got through all of that, she could get through this.
“…Yeah, I think I do.” Morie quickly answered, “According to your drawing, at least.” The woman looked at him, wanting to know a lot more. Hopefully this guy was going to stick around town for a while before heading off to save some more helpless people. Wait so… He saved souls from hollows? Or humans? Ugh, this was confusing. But Morie was determined to understand everything.
Zoi looked at her, his mouth forming a frown for a second, he seemed slightly annoyed, and his eye couldn't be seen in the sunglasses, he looked down at the drawing. It was a good drawing, ofcause she could see what it was.
“My drawing is perfect” he said short tempered holding his mask, then suddenly he could help himself but laugh slightly, he was not really that serious, then he looked up at her and took of his sunglasses to reveal a pair of deep green eyes, they seemed far more friendly than the rest of his face, almost like a tame lion.
“So how did you get to know about hollows... umm... err” Zoi realized that he was sitting here spilling secrets not meant for normal humans, and he didn't even know her name. “i completely forgot how to act like a sane person it seems, Zoi Cabal” he said presenting a hand to her in a polite manner-
Morie couldn’t help but smile when he claimed his drawing was perfect. It was better than her drawings at least, but still. It could’ve been much better. Not wanting the critic in her take over for the moment, she crossed her legs again and clasped her hands on her feet, listening to him. How did she know about hollows? Well, that was… A few years ago. When she was twenty-five, right? Morie didn’t even know anymore. All she could remember now was learning how to control her powers when no one was about, walking along in the park while attempting to raise spikes from the ground casually. Oh what fun it was collapsing on the grass and waking up at five in the morning to the yells of men that like to go running in the morning. She must’ve looked like some drunken fool.
Ah! Introductions! That’s a good way to start a conversation! Shaking his hand, Morie looked him in the eye for a moment. He had nice green eyes, and she was very jealous. She just had ugly brown ones. Well, black, but brown was the natural colour. “Ever since I could see, I’ve seen hollows.” she answered, “And ghosts. But what about you? How do you fight them?”
Morie wasn’t one for fighting, as mentioned, but she was very curious. Could he do the same thing she could? Could he use the air or something? It didn’t even occur to her that he could use some sort of weapon. Hollows, to Morie, seemed like big things that could only be taken down by what seemed like magic. Not some sort of sword or bow. That seemed silly. Such an ordinary weapon could defeat hollows? Pfft.
Zoi leaned back using his arms for support in the sand, he loved to fight, even if he didn't wish to admit it at times he lived simply to fight, perhaps a slightly sad existence but definitely more exciting than any other Zoi could think of., he would not trade his life for any other, even at the cost of good food, baths and.. okay maybe he would trade it for a rich selfish existence.
Zoi smiled triumphantly, he suddenly took his hand in under the jacket and pulled out something as simple as a gun, not some small one this a heavy gun also known as the Desert eagle. He held it py the wrong end, so it couldn't fire. “No worry the safety is on, when I spot a hollow the first thing I do is shoot into the air three times with this, simply to scare away children and other people, so they wont get in the way” Zoi did not want to tell about the few times he had actually shot at a human with this gun.
“Of cause a hollow is immune to bullets and normal human weapons, so I always put it away quickly” Zoi said quickly hiding the gun in a secret room in his robes. “Then what I do depends on a lot of things, if its not a too strong hollow I beat it up with my fists, its not easy, but kinda fun. Elsely I fight with my Quincy bow or my scheele scnider or silver tubes using magic...”
