With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Morie looked at the gun. Thank goodness the beach was just about empty, or else she would have been in bit of a more panic than what she was like right now. She looked worried, but as soon as he said the safety was on, she still couldn’t help but ask. “Are you sure?” she asked about the safety, but then he put it away in his robe again. How big was that robe? It was a bit like hammer space in a game. Except Morie expected it to be a bit more lumpier. She stared at him. With his fists? Seriously? This guy was a bit extreme! Her disbelief and shock was clear on her face. Wait, quincy bows?
Morie tried to think of what that could be. Well, a bow. But he just said human weapons couldn’t hurt hollows so it had to be something special. Could Morie us it, or did Quincy mean something? Was it just a fancy name? “Quincy bow?” Morie questioned, sighing a bit because she didn’t know much. BUT she did know a bit of German, “Seele Schneider? Soul… What? What’s a ‘seel Schneider’?”
Zoi smiled, he knew ofcause that she had no idea what either of these things were, now he was completely aware she didn't know nothing above human level, he was looking at a good chance to impress a woman, and he liked it. Slowly he stood up whilst looking at her and present her a hand as help to stand up.
“I'll show them both to you, but lets go to the water first” standing in the middle of the beach would not be as impressive as near the water were the light from both the sword and bow would shine brighter, he walked with her to the water and stared over it putting on his sunglasses again, with another smile he looked at her pulling out a small metal object from his belt, it looked somewhat like a light saber handle from star wars only more square. He held it in his hand pointing over the water, then suddenly a long blue beam fired from it forming a light saber, just like star wars.
“Seele Schneider, one of my Strongest weapon, I'm not much of swords fighter but its abilities are simply powerful enough to fight even strong hollows, and its kinda fun to use two, but its true power is to be used as an arrow shooting my target for a sure kill” he then hekld another one infront of her also turned on. “you wanna try?”
Morie took his hand and stood up, wiping the sand from her trousers as she followed him to the water. Was there really any need to go to the sea? She slipped off her sandals as she walked towards the edge of the sea, deciding they weren’t really needed. She stared at the horizon for a moment before looking at Zoi, raising an eyebrow as he took out something. She flinched when something came out of it… It looked like a light saber. Staring at it, Morie looked at Zoi, wondering what exactly he could do. He fought hollows with his hands, he could make some sort of light saber and he fired a gun in the air without getting caught by the police. He was an interesting guy. What age was he, twenty? At least?
She looked down at the Seele Schneider he was offering her, and hesitantly took it. Staring at it, she slowly look at Zoi. “You say you can fire it like an arrow?” she asked, moving it about slightly just to test it. She didn’t want to cut the guy’s arm off, then how could he fight hollows with his fists? Morie smiled slightly, feeling a bit more comfortable with the SS in her hand.
He held his own SS in his right hand, and stepped into the water holding it in his hand tightly, he stood in the water and looked at her with a smile, surely what he would do now would impress her, without answering her question he started to swing around the sword, over his head, behind him, using both hands showing of a flare show, the saber lit in the water as well as Zoi and the water around him seemed as if in blue flames, he stopped swinging and looked at her again.
He nodded then “yeah, the idea is using it as a sword for a while and injure your foe, and then surprise them by using at a one hit one kill shot, very effective, not as fun tho. It's rare I use it as a arrow, mostly I just shoot out a lot of spirit arrows, the can handle most hollows, not often I meet a hollow my bow can't just shoot apart.” he stood in the water. As he suddenly took a metal object from his robe, it was a heavy thick robe with a bunch of hidden pockets and it folded out on its own.
A metal bow that was shiny and clean with no string, hard to believe it was a functional bow, but suddenly the air changed around him as his reiatsu rose and and to bows mid section lit up in orange. And he pointed it towards the sea and he fired a orange spike formed arrow that exploded on impact with the sea.
“Im not gonna fire a Seele schneider cause I don't wanna break them they are quite hard to get.”
The idea for it was pretty simple, and Morie was glad she could follow it. For some reason she expected it to be a bit more complicated. Of course it wouldn’t be complicated for Morie! She was an intelligent woman, she could handle it. Staring at it, she was caught off guard when he swung the SS about for a moment. Like any other human she was afraid for a split second, but she relaxed as she gazed at the effect it had on the water. It was an amazing thing, and Morie was jealous she couldn’t control something a bit more graceful than spikes and a big block of mud. But all the same she smiled at Zoi when he took out a bow from his coat. Was he a magician or something?
Watching, she could feel his reiatsu changing. Morie didn’t take her eyes off of the orange spikes, even after they were shot at the sea. Her eyes widened slightly as they came in contact with the sea, and her head shot round at Zoi. “That was impressive!” she admitted, her tone of voice surprised. Were there other people out there like him? What about like herself? Morie would be thankful and happy to know others, “A lot nicer than what I can do.”
Perhaps her second statement was just to show off. Well, it was only showing off if he asked her to show it to him. It was human nature to try and show off to the opposite sex. Morie didn’t study psychology or whatever very often, so she didn’t really know what made her say that. Maybe she just wanted to use her powers so he could help her get better. Morie had a feeling she could advance in her learnings, and with someone here that seemed to know what he was doing, she had a chance.
Zoi grinned he liked her reaction, his shots were indeed impressive, strong and powerful arrows, Zoi was a useless quincy, he had no control only power, so unlike any other Quincy he was a brute and slightly violent warrior, he always enjoyed fighting like he did, dead on with a lot of force.
But he was surprised when she talked on, she was able to do something too? She for sure was no Quincy, she was justa human with spiritual power, maybe she could hit thing abit hard or dance? He didn't know.
“Ya? Do stuffs? But your just a human, humans can't do any thing but shopping, I mean im a powerfull quincy, yet just a man wasn't it for all my training I couldn't do anything, what can you do huh? Shop til ya drop?” he said in disbelief “Or throw mud balls?” he added for some reason.
Morie was a bit offended that he was surprised. Frowning, she nodded and swivelled the SS in her hand round so the handle was facing him, but she didn’t wound either of them in the process. She took a step back from the water for a moment, looking down at the wet sand. Hesitating, she glanced at Zoi when he continued to talk. “Shop ‘till I drop?” I raised an eyebrow at him, almost looking offended. She was a bit, but decided to not let it get to her too much and rolled her eyes, “Sort of like mud balls. A bit more… Pointy though.” The woman sounded almost disappointed that he managed to guess what her power was.
Looking back down at the sand, her reiatsu changed in the air as she concentrated. She didn’t need to concentrate that much, seeing as she was only creating one spike, and it didn’t need that much force because she wasn’t firing it at anyone in particular. A single spike slowly raised from the ground, sand attaching to it, but it seemed to be mostly made up of the harder sand/whatever beneath the surface. Raising an eyebrow at Zoi, she decided to show off a bit. She deserved it after all.
She frowned at the spike and it disintegrated. Alright, now to think of something impressive. Crossing her arms casually, she smirked and a spike shot up from the ground, straight at Zoi’s chin. It stopped centimetres away from his skin and she glanced at him. It split into several different spikes and fell to the ground, seeping into the sand. Alright, so that was pretty crap. Whatever. Morie decided that impressing people like this wasn’t the point. “I can do a bit more than that obviously, but…” she shrugged.
Zoi watched her, he was surprised already when her reiatsu changed, he had not though she was able to control it at all, but he still could not believe she had powers, it was not like she was a hollow and he couldn't see any zanpaktou on her either and she definitely was no quincy. But Zoi was stopped in his train of thought as a mud spike formed right under his chin, his eye looked slightly down at it, he had not seen it coming at all, his jaw dropped as he stepped back, he look in chock, as if he had seen a ghost.
“Whu... bu... ya can't do that! Thats not normal!” he said slowly realizing he had a light saber in his hand, what was normal anyway, well humans summoning spikes was less normal than Zoi. “How the hell do you do that? Seriusly, you didn't even use a deivce, are you some sort of... I Have no idea!!”
Zoi looked at her, strong pretty, definitely not a normal woman, he smiled. “you should become a ghost hunter with me... your suited for it”
Morie was very pleased with his reaction. Who said her only power was shopping ‘till she dropped? Morie hardly shopped anyway, unless it was for books. Putting a hand through her hair, making it a bit more messy, the woman laughed softly as he tried to explain that wasn’t normal. She looked down at his lightsaber and then looked him in the eye. Well, at least she hoped she was looking him in the eye, she couldn’t really tell with those sunglasses. “And you fighting hollows with your bare hands is?” she questioned in good humour, crossing her arms again, “I have no idea either. I just… Learned to do it over the years.”
At his suggestion, Morie stared at him. Was he crazy? He probably travelled all over the place to hunt ghosts, she couldn’t just leave her family behind in Karakura to hunt ghosts. At the same time it sounded thrilling, and Morie was very tempted to agree. She had read novels and seen movies about people just running off with people that they loved instead of staying with their boring ol’ husbands. Of course Morie didn’t have a husband. She didn’t even have a boyfriend. Morie decided to name off the cons. “Are you crazy? It sounds way too dangerous…” she trailed off, not really able to think of any more, "I mean, look at you! Do ghosts turn into hollows?"
On the other hand, staying here all her life was extremely boring. What if she never left before? What if she was completely over reacting and he didn’t even leave Karakura? God, Morie was getting far too ahead of herself.
Zoi stood still, he felt his socks get wet, it was an unpleasant thing, but he had survied worse, and it wasn't like he hadn't predicted it anyway, he looked at her was he Crazy? Of cause he was any one who was ghost hunter was definitely marked as Crazy, sooner or later Morie would be too. He just stated as a cold sad fact.
“everyone says I'm crazy... I'm a ghost hunter... people usually just laugh at me and sing the theme from ghost busters when I talk to them...” he seemed sad as he said that, he had lost many a good friend cause of his job, no one really liked him, and most that did were just old wierdos that thought their grand father hunted their toilet, and wanted Zoi to dance around it to scare him away, sometimes a sad life. But who would have thought you could earn money dancing around a toilet...
then he got more serious at her second question “Yes, thats why we have to help them pass on else they become hollows and eat more ghosts that then also become hollows, they spread like a curse... thats why I can't ignore my calling” he then looked directly in her eyes, he felt like he could read her mind, she wanted to go with him, but she was scared.
“Ya know you can think about my offer all night...” suddenly he seemed nervous like some high schooler “We can go do stuff while ya think”
