Hugh landed in the airport near Karakura and he got on the bus, he was on his way in to Karakura, he heard from a source that there is a lot of hollow in this area, which means that there were strong souls, but could also mean humans with powers like him, he was eager to find humans who had powers, somebody who knew how he felt and how to beat stronger hollows, or where they go when they run away. Hugh had so many questions and he thought no one would be able to answer them, it was late at night there and he was jet lagged and wide awake. He went for a walk through the city, he was hungry so he figured he would get some food. He would hit up some spots where suspicious activity was reported to try it for clues, Hugh got some tempura and finished it in the restaraunt, he payed, got up and left to go to the most recent site where there was an abnormal ocurance.

When Hugh got there he was impressed by what he saw, he thought he had seen a lot, but nothing was like this, an entire building, grounded in an instant, he hadn't heard of a hollow being able to do this before. Hugh wondered how powerful this thing was and how powerful the person was who fought it, then suddenly, he felt the reiatsu of a hollow, a powerful one to, it was only 200 yards away, and he felt the presence coming towards him. All of the sudden the presence disappeared. Then a giant hollow jumped up from underneath him and tried to swallow him whole. Hugh released all of the reiatsu he could and he sent off lighting bolts everywhere, the hollow felt this attack and it re-burrowed itself into the ground, Hugh then said "You're strong, but going underground sure isn't going to help you" Hugh put both of his hands on the ground and sent a huge amount of electricity down into the ground, because of Hugh doing this, he learned something interesting, he could tell where it was. The hollow jumped up and it said "What an interesting little human, I guess I'll have to use this... cero" the hollow fired off a cero, Hugh jumped out of the way and then said, "I've never heard a hollow talk before...I thought you were all wild animals" Hugh smirked as he insulted the hollow, but he had truly never heard one talk. The hollow merely said "Ha, I am more powerful than any hollow you have fought then." The hollow jumped straight at him, Hugh then said "And you're modest too, but not smart enough" Cloud put his hands on the hollows back as he jumped over it and fired a shock-wave into its body, slamming it down onto the ground. Hugh jumped on top of the hollow and charged a bunch of electricity and reiatsu into a ball and then said "Goodbye talking hollow!" then Hugh thrust the dangerous, potent lighting ball into the hollows back, his hand went straight through the hollow and he killed it instantly, it stopped the thing it had resembling a heart. "Well... guess I'd better go to the next site" Hugh brushed himself off and walked out of the ruined area.

Hugh reached the other site where the second most recent, or now the third most recent suspicious activity was recorded, Hugh still couldn't get over how much more powerful that hollow was back there compared to ones he had fought before. It was something in this city, or something about it that made more powerful hollows show up there. Although it was still easy forHugh to defeat the hollow, he had never heard one talk, or seen one use a cero before. He wondered how much stronger these things got and if he would be able to handle them, all of the years of training he went through, just to find out that there might be something out there that could beat him. It was a scary thought that was going through his mind and he couldn't focus on what he was trying to investigate. Hugh just said "Heh, I'll come back tomorrow, but I don't think I will be able to sleep, I'll just walk and think about things." So that is exactly what he did, Hugh went on a walk to go sight seeing at night, when cities truly came alive.
