With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Glaring at Spike, she looked round at the group, expecting them to agree with a holler of yells. Nothing came. It then came to her attention that they were not there. They couldn’t have ran off, wasn’t this a dead end? Bah, Morie didn’t even know anymore. Frowning, the woman quickly looked back at Spike. Where the hell did they go? They couldn’t have ran away without making noise, so something was up. Scanning the walls, she glanced up at the roof and noticed… Something. Was it them? Backing up, back against the wall, Morie was freaked. Alright, who the hell managed to do that?
Looking back at Spike, Morie hesitated. She couldn’t kill this guy, what was she thinking?! Looking back up at the roof, she noticed a figure. Was it the child she saw earlier on? No, don’t be stupid, Morie. Kids don’t scale buildings. Unless… But then Spike’s insult went through her head. Just because she was a girl?! Oooh, no. “I could beat you any day.” she stated, clenching her fists, “Just because I’m a girl doesn’t make me weak.” She just hoped she could beat him, if he tried anything. Morie couldn’t help but look back up at the roof again, wondering who was up there.
Spike was practically foaming at the mouth now, hunching over again electricity sparked around as he rammed at Morie suddenly he screamed as he was hoisted into the air by a vine wrapped around his ankle, Sasuke steps off the rooftop taking the four story drop like he had just stepped from the sidewalk to the street. He landed between the hanging Spike and Morie a vine that grew out of his back was connected to the upside down thugs ankle. His face red from anger yelling like a kid throwing a temper tantrum he screams at Morie "Whats wrong with you? Show some backbone your a human with powers idiots like this will always hunt and kill those they don't understand, it basic instinct of humanity to kill, If you don't learn to kill then you'll never survive.". Sasuke points back at the suspended thug completely ignoring his screams of anger "Now kill that idiot".
Morie winced and nearly screamed when he suddenly went to attack her. But he was quickly hoisted into the air, and Morie was positive that wasn’t her, unless she had managed to gain some sort of new power without even trying. Eyes widening, she stared up at the roof, watching the boy as he jumped from the roof to the ground. The first thing that went through her head was how he managed to even survive that without looking worried. This kid was not a normal child, that was for sure. And then she noticed the vines coming from his back. What the hell!? Morie took a step to the left to get out of the alley, but Sasuke was already talking to him.
Kill him? Backbone? Not survive? What was he going on about? Morie attempted to take this conversation calmly, but it was difficult with a screaming kid in front of her, as well as the child trying to tell her to toughen up. “I’ve survived so far, haven’t I?” she said back, unable to hide all the anger, “You’re just a kid, what do you think you’re doing telling me to toughen up and kill this guy? What are you even doing out here at this time?!”
The woman paused, glancing up at the leader. She refused to kill him. He was just some guy trying to get along in life by being tough, but now he had no one. No gang, probably no family… He was going to be alone, and probably ignored. Morie had a feeling if she didn’t kill Spike, then this child would. This couldn’t be some kid, he had to be something a lot more important.
Sasuke's face twists into a pout, "Listen here ive been around for hundreds of years and ill tell you, Humans without powers and idiots like this with, are brutal violent creatures who deserve nothing more than death. They will silence anything they don't understand kill or be killed thats the way it is" Spike struggles against the vines pulling at the one wrapped around his leg trying to free himself when all of sudden the vine slams him into the wall spinning toward the hanging thug "Move or speak again and ill make you wish you were dead". Turning back to Morie Sasuke swings the hanging thug in front, "it gets easier after you do it once, believe me my induction was much more difficult" Sasuke holds the thug in front of Morie half of him angry because she wouldn't kill the man the other confused why he hadn't just eaten them both like any other day.
Morie crossed her arms, frowning. “Yeah right. You don’t even look fifteen.” she said in disbelief, glaring down at him. Was this kid trying to insult her intelligence? Morie frowned, hesitating for a moment. Could she really let this guy run about with those powers, taking advantage of kids and women? Was she just stereotyping him? Did he just do this for a hobby, and actually did have a child at home, with a wife? Morie frowned at the man, glancing at Sasuke. Maybe she could trust him. Maybe he was right. Maybe Morie was just being stupid.
Sighing heavily to show she wasn’t pleased with her choice, Morie closed her eyes, concentrating. A spike shot from the ground, straight for Spike’s head. Then it hit her. What the hell did she just do?! She just killed someone! Why was she such an idiot?! Refusing to look at Spike, Morie looked at Sasuke and immediately tried to distract herself. To make herself believe the man wasn’t there. “I’m Morie.”
Sasuke smiled as Spikes life ended the blood from the man drooled down the Spike, on the inside he was confused, he had stalked Spiked for days learning the mans habits, Sasuke felt a particular enjoyment in eating those who believed themselves to be god like and spike was the very definition of a power hungry mongrel. Yet he hadn't eaten spike nor was hungry for the woman and front of him, his confusion grew as Morie introduced herself, he had just forced her to kill she had seen what he was yet she spoke to him like it didn't matter none of this made sense, why did he not kill this woman. As Sasuke mulled over his internal conflict he stared at Morie with a confused look plastered on his face he reaches into his pocket absent mindedly handing Morie a chocolate bar, "this should help with the shock", Sasuke says as he turns away swinging out one hand small red seeds flying from his sleeve and landing on spike Sasuke says "bloom" in a tired and confused voice his mind far away searching for answers. The seeds on Spikes body bloom into blue flowers growing from a bush, the beautiful display consuming Spikes body leaving no trace of the former gangster except for some torn up clothes deep in the brush.
Morie sighed, taking the chocolate bar and looking down at it as she held it with both hands. Hesitating, the woman unwrapped it a small chunk, glancing at Spike. God, she felt so guilt ridden it was unbelievable. Frowning, she leaned against the wall and watched as Spike was engulfed by a bush. True, Morie found it rather pretty, but it would be an odd thing for anyone to find in a crappy alley. Glancing at the bush one last time, she took another bite of the chocolate bar before sighing and looking at Sasuke. “Why did you want me to kill him?” she asked. She knew why but her real question was why. It made sense in her mind at least.
Deciding to save the chocolate bar for later(for the bin), she wrapped it up and put it in the pocket of her coat. Rubbing her eyes, trying to clear her mind from everything that had just happened. It felt like a really weird nightmare that didn’t make sense, but at the same time it did. “How are you over a hundred year sold? How can you do that with your body?” Morie had a few more questions, but decided to demand only perhaps two at a time.
Sasuke continued to look at Morie studying her looking her up and down, had he seen her before, why did he not want to eat her. The very thought of it turned his stomach slightly it made no sense. Sasuke then responds disregarding the later two questions as soon as they came out, his voice was relaxed calm, almost far away as he spoke "I could tell you, that you killed him because he was scum, who killed, who raped, who did horrible terrible things. That would give you comfort wouldn't it?" Sasuke paused as if waiting for a response then cut Morie off as soon as she began to speak, "He was human though, he has sister who cares for him and will miss him, she is a vet a good person. He has a girl friend who loves him, though she is probably more sadistic then he was. In reality though he died for the simple reason, he lacked the strength to survive no more no less. He died because it was necessary for him to die so you could grow, you have power probably more than you think. Power brings death get used to it". Sasuke finished his statement walking away slowly something about this girl made him feel almost human, and that scared him more than anything else.
Hugh had walked in on their conversation and he had been listening to the whole thing secretly, he didn't want to startle these guys, but he had found humans like him from what he could hear, this was the first time he had found other humans with powers, he couldn't wait to go and ask them about how they got their powers and if they knew anything about a "Project Valkerie" or any organization or project. Hugh got out from behind the dumpster and walked over to the people just like him. "Hi, my names Hugh, I have powers too, I just have some questions." Hugh was surprised when he saw that a kid that young could use his powers so well, Hugh was 16 when his powers were realized and he wasn't able to completely control them until he was 19, and he was 23 now and experienced, yet he only found his kind now.
Sasuke spotted the man who had walked up he felt his heart pounding in his throat like a chorus of destruction, his predatory instincts rushing back like a wave over his conscious mind this man was energy and Sasuke needed to feed. Taking a few steps forward his demeanor shift to calm cool and collected as he says, "Hello their want to play a little game, have a little bit of fun?". Sasuke moved fluidly walking next to hugh he smiles holding out his hand to shake as soon as Hugh did though Sasuke would release vines from throughout his arm wrapping around hugh and immobilizing Hugh so Sasuke could feed on his life force. As Sasuke walked he watched Hugh's energy looking for the point necessary to puncture so he could drain it, in the back of his mind a small weak voice echoed barely a whisper saying no, this is wrong, but Sasuke was hungry and he needed to feed.
