Name: Higashi Hachi (Literally, East Eight)
Age: 200, looks 20
Gender: Male
Personality:
Kaminari Panchi (Lightning Punch) -[/u] When Higashi drags Teyupon, it can store and build up lightning, allowing him to strike an opponent almost like he's punching them, discharging the stored lightning.
This attack also allows him to move faster, even faster than the little boost his bankai gives him, via the buildup of lightning creating raw energy that Higashi automatically taps into. This means that, whether he likes it or not, he'll get faster the more lightning he builds up.
Shiage Kaminari (Finish the Lightning) -[/u] Higashi gathers a mass of lightning into the hollow part of Teyopun and strikes in close combat at the opponent, the mass of reishi exploding outwards in many tendrils of lightning, before shooting right back, lacerating both Higashi and the enemy.[/blockquote]Skill Level: Kidou: Intermediate

History/Background:
Age: 200, looks 20
Gender: Male
Personality:
Higashi has a complete intolerance for idiots and annoying people, and claims to be "driven insane by such stupid acts of stupidity." He will outwardly insult and reject any such acts, and holds no empathy for people who actually believe themselves to be funny or not annoying for such acts.Appearance:
On that note, he views the fine line between humor and annoyance as a very fine line. He is not above cracking a comment or two, or even acting a little strange, at the opponent for the sake of undeniable humor. Actually, he prefers to take life like a giant joke, trying never to take it too far, but to keep it up, which may be where his philosophy against annoyance came from.
Height: 5'9"Zanpakuto Spirit:
Weight: 125 Pounds
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Black
Higashi has a wolf-cut hair style with a distinct yellow lightning-bolt dyed into his hair. He wears the standard Shinigami outfit, albeit with his own special twist. Rather than wearing the torso part of the outfit, he wears a sort of black clothe on his torso and on his hands and forearms, with tight, black sleeve-like sleeves on his arms. The only bare spot on his torse from the clothe and sleeves is his left shoulder.
Teyupon (Typhon)Sealed Zanpakuto:
Higashi's Inner World is that of a storm-worn city, all the buildings destroyed, dead bodies of those he's defeated lying astrew, and clouds dominating the sky, thunder roaring every other step.
Teyupon is actually the clouds, talking in an echoing voice, although not neccesarily booming, and his expressions are revealed through the clouds, making symbols and pictures in the shadows through the flash of the lightning.
He is a very agressive zanpakuto, being ruled mostly by his anger and hatred. In particularly, he hates Higashi's sarcasm and how he deliberately tries not to take things seriously, which is exactly the opposite for Teyupon.
A wakizashi with a lightning-bolt shaped tsuba, squared-off blade, and blue hilt.Shikai Description:
"Rain, Teyupon!"Shikai Abilities:
When released, Teyupon's blade turns blue and resembles more of a carving knife's blade than a katana's. The blade is serrated, with two large jags on the top half of the blade, the second one slightly smaller than the first.
Teyupon's power deals with lightning, via the manipulation of the atmosphere. Upon the command "storm", Higashi holds Teyopun vertically, a blast of lightning striking the sky. This only works if the sky is stormy, so he usually uses some form of kido to make it so.[/u] After the bolt of lightning has been injected into the sky, Higashi can willfully cause lightning to strike from the clouds and strike the opponent. The amount of lightning that can be used to strike cannot exceed the amount Higashi placed in the sky, and when it runs out, he must place more.[/blockquote]Bankai Description:
Arashi wa Chikyuu (Storm the Earth) -
Teyupon turns into a yellow, gauntlet-style claw sword, with the part on his hand covering the entirey of his hand, almost glove-like. The claws that extend from the gauntlet are merged together into a single, hollow blade, much like a shovel, except a blade.Bankai Abilities:
Higashi's bankai is more of a compression than an expansion, but its not nearly compressed enough to even try to compare to Ichigo's.[/u] Teyupon can fire off a condensed blast of lightning from its blade.
Rather than manipulating lightning via the weather, Higashi's bankai is far more direct, firing off lightning by itself.
Chokusetsu Kominari (Direct Lightning) -
Kaminari Panchi (Lightning Punch) -[/u] When Higashi drags Teyupon, it can store and build up lightning, allowing him to strike an opponent almost like he's punching them, discharging the stored lightning.

History/Background:
Higashi suffers from "Random amnesia", which he describes as "a demon searching through his memories, taking those most precious and hiding them." This "disease," as he claims, takes away the memories he needs most, such as what happened in his past. In fact, his entire past has been erased from his mind, and it appears he can only ever remember back a certain number of years from the current time, i.e. he's 200 years old, so he can remember back to when he was 50, but when he becomes 375, he'll only be able to remember back to when he was 215.RP Sample:
After getting an evaluation from the Fourth Squad, it appears that his disease is "increasing," meaning that he will be able to remember less and less of a time span as time goes on, i.e. he will only be able to remember back to when he was 250 when hes 375 rather than 215.
Higashi has compared this to how a flashlight works. The field of light only covers a certain amount of space, no matter what its been shown on. As time goes on, the batteries die, the light begins to fade, and you have to hold it closer to see things, decreasing its range.
He heard tales of a hollow that held power over memories, and believed that it could heal him. As such, he traveled to Hueco Mundo in order to find such a hollow, but found it impossible to search for a single being in such a large domain.
Nevertheless, he searched and searched, and eventually found a lead for it. He managed to track it down to its personal cave, but when he arrived he found a "clan" of hollows, which were able to overpower him with just his shikai.
The battle drew over a pack of Menos Grande, which, being stupid like they are, attacked the other hollows and Higashi, resulting in the death of the memory hollow. This devastated Higashi, who was out of hope, and wandered the Menos Forest for some time, not caring to return to Soul Society.
After a while, a search party was sent out for him, which returned with him in bad condition from neglecting himself in his depression. While he was being treated, he spent most of his time in his inner world, conversing with Teyupon. It was the bond they developed during this time that saved Higashi when he was healed, and learned that the rest of his memory had been lost to his coma and depression.
With little to no memory left, except that which he was told by the few people he remembered, even he couldn't make light of the situation. However, he still set out to his Shinigami training, being the only real thing he had left. Using the bond he formed with Teyupon, he dragged his zanpakuto out into the physical world and fought it, ready to achieve bankai.
During their fight, Teyupon manifested his "true" form, a rather large, demonic figure whose "true" appearance changed like the clouds, the only continuous manifest being the fact that it embodies fear and devilishness.
Unable to really use his shikai against his own power, Teyupon began to lay a beatdown on Higashi, until he broke out his kido, scolding his zanpakuto for forgetting that he could use it so skillfully, although he himself had forgotten due to his coma.
Even with his kido working for him, Teyupon's power was still too much for Higashi to overpower, until he realised he really had nothing to lose in this fight, and went almost suicidal, regaining his "fun." Teyupon was completely unable to handle his new opponent, and eventually succumbed to Higashi.
With bankai in one hand and his personality in the other, Higashi was able to remember some of the events leading up his coma, particularly the events in Hueco Mundo.
Afterwards, he set out to remember the rest of his life...
Higashi wandered down the streets of a city. This particular city was a devastated one, clearly suffering from multiple hurricanes and tornadoes. Bodies littered the street, both human and hollow. Nothing moved except for Higashi and the sky.
"Teyupon!" Higashi shouted at the sky, collapsing to his knees. Thunder roared and lightning flashed, revealing the silhouette of a dragon. Lightning flashed again, the dragon closer this time. This continued for a good number of flashes, until the dragon suddenly disappeared, and a bolt of lightning struck a building.
"Higashi... you fool..." A voice echoed. It wasn't exactly a scream, but it was definately high-pitched, like the speed of lightning, or the pierce it makes. "You fool... you fool..." It echoed, more lightning striking.
Finally, one struck too close too fast, the remains of the building falling right towards the unsuspecting Shinigami...
