Personality:

Rydia is a fairly cheerful girl. She is very kind, and very sweet. In fact, she happens to love just that; sweets. Despite her age, she acts very childish, and can often be bribed by a simple offer of candy. As with most children, if she doesn't get her way, she will pout around, or vent out her frustration.

Nevertheless, this is partially a facade, a false act that she puts on, mostly to both hide her own age and herself, really. Though she is a very kind and loving woman, she can become serious when need be, obvious by her former Captain status. She rarely acts without thinking, and due to recent events, she keeps herself distant of conflict. She would rather talk things over rather than wield her Zanpakuto. She can appear wise when she wants to be, but prefers her more childish antics and persona than anything else.

Appearance:

Rydia stands about five feet even, with long flowing, forest green hair, and dark emerald green eyes. Her hair reaches far down her back, not normally in any particular style, straightened, with some strands falling over her shoulders. Her skin is lightly tanned, though difficult to tell in some lighted areas.

She is a rather thin girl, and seems well physically fit. She can be quite the acrobat, with long slender legs, that are normally always shown in some form or manner, depending upon her attire. Her chest is ample, mature and visually proportional (C-cup). Her hips and thighs, though not thick, are muscular and firm due to her love for running.

In her spirit form, she retains her Shinigami robes, and her Captain's Haori, though the outer white robe is normally worn around her waist, held up by a long green sash. She does not, however, seem to hold the normal pant robes that normally appear with the top layer robes, instead, wearing a short skirt version, similar to Nemu Kurotsuchi. She usually carries her Zanpakuto, and if need be, sticks it to her right hip, tied along the sash around her waist.

Hollow Mask:

A pure cobalt blue dragon skull mask with four eye holes, the lower two of which are the ones that fall over her eyes.

Hollow Powers:

Standard increase in normal abilities; enhanced strength, speed, endurance, and dexterity.

Mega Cero - From the tip of the mouth of her hollow mask, Rydia can fire a cobalt blue Cero. (It is a normal Cero attack; she just adds the 'Mega' in for 'Flare')


NOTE: Rydia's spiritual energy is nowhere near what it once was. Though her Hollow Powers had given her an incredible boost in spiritual pressure, the corruption had slowly started to eat away at her soul. Currently, she holds almost less than a quarter of what her power once was.

Inner Hollow:

Ryuuzin (Dragon King)



Appearance: Ryuuzin is a well aged dragon that stands several meters tall (12'). He has somewhat of a humanoid appearing body, standing on two legs, with claw-like hands. His form is very muscular, and his wings spread out nearly 14' when fully extended. His tail is double the length of his legs. His entire body is scaled in a dark bluish black tint, with a dark, rusted orange underlining. His head is identical to Rydia's hollow mask, albeit more black in tone.

Personality: Despite his appearance, Ryuuzin is a very honorable man. Though he does have quite a temper, he is respectable toward others, even those weaker than he. Power and strength isn't something that he craves, but instead, works to achieve. He doesn't seem to lust over any particular evil, like most hollow manifestations, and seems to be at peace with his current position. When it does come to Hollows, mostly the inner hollows of other Vizards, Ryuuzin does not like to converse much about the topic. He finds himself far different than most of the newly formed Vizards; far less blinded by power or lust, and more full of wisdom and experience than anything else.

Relationship Towards Rydia: The two once shared a teacher-student relationship when Rydia first acquired her Hollow abilities. Like a Shinigami with their Zanpakuto, Ryuuzin worked with Rydia to help her acquire a greater understanding of Hollows and how they worked. Currently, the two have grown beyond that relationship. Ryuuzin understands that their fates are shared, and when Rydia eventually dies, so to will he. He will aid her freely in any battle and give her any power he can muster to help her become victorious.

Relationship Towards Ouryuu: He holds a valid respect for Rydia's Zanpakuto. At once, the two had clashed during the first few years of Rydia's hollowfication, but eventually, the two have come to a certain level of respect for one another. Ryuuzin is able to wield Ouryuu when he takes control, though such actions have become far less as of late due to Rydia being able to summon forth his power with relative ease.

World: His world is a mountain, high above the clouds, with an old shrine sitting near the summit. The clouds extend to the horizon at every angle, and the shrine sitting at the center of the flattened surface seems to be far aged. The mountain itself sits above the clouds, allowing a clear blue sky to appear overhead. At times, the sky does seem to express night, seeming to depend on the emotion that Ryuuzin is currently feeling.

(Dragon of Mist/Rain)

Zampakuto Spirit:

Appearance: Ouryuu is a dragon of the mist, a creature manifested by mist itself. She has a physical form, though can disperse herself into mist. When she does take physical form, she appears as a large Serpent-like dragon. She has glowing blue eyes, and a soft silver-light blue glow around her body.

Personality: Ouryuu is a very kind woman, and holds the voice of an old sage. She refers to herself in the third person, and when speaking to Rydia, does the same. She acts as a constant guide for Rydia, helping to show her the path, but always expects Rydia to be the one to walk down it. She will point out the woman's mistakes, and expect her to correct it properly. Similar to Ryuuzin, Ouryuu and Rydia had once held a teacher-student relationship. Now, however, that Rydia has nearly mastered her Zanpakuto, she feels that they are no longer teacher, student, but equals in battle. Ouryuu would gladly give up her life in that meant she could save Rydia's own.

Un-released Zampakuto's Appearance:

Unreleased, it appears as most standard Zanpakuto, the form of a normal Katana, the blade itself around 60cm. The guard is a hexagon shape, the hilt itself a bit more rounded than most. The hilt is a solid green color, with a darker shade of green rope wrapped around near the top and bottom, which would normally be used if she were to tie it to something on her person.

"Darken the Sky, Ouryuu!"

Shikai Appearance::

The hilt and sheath are the most notably different in comparison to its unreleased Zanpakuto state. The hilt itself has a unique design, with a pattern of various dragon emblems lined in the middle on both sides. The guard is a pair of crescent moons, which allows it to snap into place within its sheathe.

The sheath holds a similar pattern design as the hilt itself, though along the top, a small dragon-like sculpture sticks out, which aids in keeping the blade locked in its sheathe.

Shikai Abilities::

Mabushii Iki (Radiant Breath) - Her most basic attack. Mist begins to collect around the hilt of Rydia's blade. She angles the sword horizontally, with the hilt up by her right shoulder, held with both hands. A stream of reiatsu is then shot out from her sword, taking on the form of her sword's element of mist, and spirals toward her opponent.

Mabushii Kasumi (Radiant Mist) - A defensive maneuver. Mist exhausts itself from Rydia's Zanpakuto. The surrounding area around her (half the size of a football field) becomes thickly engulfed in mist, providing Rydia with basic visual coverage and means of escape, if need be.

Tsunami (Tsunami) - Rydia brings her sword up to her opposing shoulder (depending on which single-hand is wielding the blade), and mutters the word. Mist begins to collect around the hilt of her blade, similar to how Radiant Breath initiates. With a diagonal slicing motion of her blade, reiatsu expels from the attack, and a gushing flow of fast-current water is unleashed in a crecent-moon like manner, spreading out in about a ninety-degree angle with Rydia at the center (45 degrees to her left and to her right).

Bankai Description:

Ouryuujin (Dragon God of Mist)



Ouryuu transforms into a chain-linked whip, with the hilt of a katana. The blade can extend and retract, though the length is limited; ten meters in maximum length. The links of the chain hold sharp edges, and with her Reiatsu, she can force the links of the whip to straighten, allowing her two weapons in one; a whip, and a sword, and the choice of altering between the two in battle.

Bankai Abilities:

Mabushii Hikarimasu (Radiant Shine) - Similar to Radiant Breath, Radiant Shine is her most basic attack in Bankai. With a crack of her whip, she brings her Zanpakuto to her side and calls out the attack. Her whip instantly straightens, and with a careful aim, a more powerful form of Radiant Breath is unleashed. The size of the reiatsu beam seems about double in thickness, and can extend roughly 1.5x the distance.

Mabushii Genkaku (Radiant Illusion) - An upgrade of Radiant Mist, Radiant Illusion has a similar effect, and starts off in the same manner. As the mist collects around her, however, the area quickly liquefies, forcing all movements within the mist cloud to feel as though one were moving through water.

Mabushii Tsunami (Radiant Tsunami) - Again, a simple upgrade to her more powerful Shikai attack. With a crack of her whip, her sword straightens and returns to its normal length. Mist collects around the hilt, and with a diagonal slash, she initiates the attack. Instead of a simple 90 degree radius, this attack can be used in a 360 motion, though the effects of the attack itself is weakened. However, if condensed, it can be almost twice as powerful as Radiant Shine, but twice as costly to her Reiatsu.

History/Background:

Rydia's days in the Shinigami Academy date far, far back, beyond the time of most. She was once a Captain of the Fifth Squad, and fought during the old Shinigami Wars, when one of the old noble houses attempted to seek full control of Seireitei. It had been dark days during those ten years of war. Shinigami fighting against Shinigami in a senseless war. It had been then that the Gotei 13 had been created in and of its own.

After the war, and the transition into the Gotei 13, Rydia became an honorary Captain of the Fifth Squad after achieving her Bankai. She had trained many Shinigami and fought against terrifying hollows during her days. Eventually, nearly five-hundred years after her birth, Rydia was promoted yet again, this time, into the Royal Guard.

Rydia fell into the old habits of answering to a Captain, having been promoted to a lower rank and slowly working her way up. Similar to the Gotei 13, they had a Captain, a Lieutenant, and various seated officers. All seated officers, however, wore the old haori of their old squads, respectively, however, with an arm band that signified their status as a Royal Guard.

Rydia had never met the King in person, nor did she ever develop much of a relationship with her Captain. Her Lieutenant, however, she held a close bond. The man was far older than she, but with spiritual beings like Shinigami, such ages never seemed to matter beyond 500 years. She respected his words and would have followed his orders to the grave.

They had both fought in many battles, side by side, with her Lieutenant saving her life many times over. One night, however, Rydia had become far too careless, which had cost the lives of many Shinigami. They had faced off against an army of Vasto Lordes who were attempting to infiltrate the Royal Grounds via the King's Key.

Rydia had been the first to discover the attack during one of her rounds. She had sent a single informant out to alert the others, then headed directly into battle. That informant, however had been cut down before he could deliver the message, and the six-men platoon that Rydia had been in charge of had slowly cut down to just her.

Her Lieutenant had come to her aid. Though she had been heavily wounded, she attempted to keep by his side. She disobeyed his order when he gave the word to retreat further into the grounds and wait for backup to arrive. She had argued that they would be able to stand their current ground if they stood and fought. They had... and failed. Rydia's Lieutenant had thrown himself into a blast that would have certainly ended Rydia's life. Rydia, along with the other bodies of the Royal Guards that had been ambushed, some alive, some far beyond dead, were taken.

The next few years that had passed are mere black marks in Rydia's memory. Shinigami of Royal Guard status were studied due to their immense spiritual energy. The ability to hold so much force within their body and not having it explode due to the amount of pressure built within was something that the evolved hollows were curious. Wanting to corrupt these forms of life, those who had survived underwent a terrible transformation... and the first Vizards were born...

The experiment went wrong when one of her comrades' reiatsu exploded due to becoming completely hollified. A barely conscious Rydia was forced to awaken with a lingering voice directing her a means of escape. Eventually, her body crumbled onto the sands of Hueco Mundo, and after several days of attempting to regain her spiritual energy, she woke to find another presence within her soul.

Unlike most inner hollows, Ryuuzin held no real malice in his intent. He had once been an aged Hollow that had evolved to a point where he was conscious of his actions, and rarely acted with the other hollows; thus, he was placed into the experiment. Ryuuzin worked with Rydia for some time, helping her to rid her animalistic hollow side as he once had. Their travels took them to take refuge in the real world, knowing that her status in Seireitei would have announced her long since dead. It was then that she had found the true side effect of the experiment.

Due to the lack of technology, and it being the first experiment, though Rydia did gain Hollow powers, but the corruption of her soul never seemed to heal. In an attempt to basically keep herself from dying, her spiritual energy is constantly drained at a sloth's like pace, though over the centuries, has left her little in comparison to what her power once was.

Now, she remains living in the real world, aware of what occurrs within Karakura Town, having found such a vast amount of spiritual pressure. She did not involve herself in Aizen's first attack, to which she certainly regrets. She had vowed to both Ouryuu and Ryuuzin that should such an event unfold again, she would not be able to turn a blind eye... and would once again wield her Zanpakuto and Hollow Mask.

RP Sample:

Long forest green strands danced along the soundless tune of the four winds. A soft hand came up to caress the strands that attempted to block her field of view. Emerald green hues reflected upon the horizon where the sun rested against the water's edge, as if being swallowed for yet another day. The soft scent of sea salt tickled her nostrils as the damp air that soon filled the area moistened her tanned skin lightly. A cool mist had collected along the port side, a normal occurrence it seemed as of late, or rather, ever since the green haired woman came to visit during the setting of the sun.

"Another day..."

Yes... it seemed yet another day had passed. How many had that been? A number, it seemed, that was far too high to count... yet, her mind playfully attempted to dwell upon the equation and came up with a rough estimate.

"Three-hundred, seventy-two thousand, five-hundred and fifty-six days," the young girl's voice summarized the total with a soft faint smile appearing upon her green lipsticked lips. Still, as the girl who appeared in her early twenties gazed rather childishly out toward the horizon, there was a bit of sadness in her expression... like that of someone who had lost someone so very dear to them. The elder woman had long since forgotten the name, and had cursed herself ever since. Living so long, one could only retain so much information before forgetfulness came over. Still, important information was always retained... graduating the Academy, becoming a full fledged Shinigami, the war she had fought in, the creation of the Gotei 13, her first encounter with the spiritual form of her Zanpakuto, becoming a Captain of the Fifth Squad, becoming a Royal Guard...

Still... it seemed she was destined to forever forget the name of the man who had saved her life so many times in the past... the face of the Lieutenant whom she had looked up to with such high regard... such high respect... quite possibly, the first person she had truly loved.

'You dwell too much on the past...'

Ouryuu... she always seemed far wiser than she, even after so many years of fighting along her side. Those aged yet youthful eyes closed briefly as a forced smile appeared upon her expression.

"You always seem to know what I'm thinking," Rydia announced with a faint voice.

'We share an eternal bond, do we not?'

It was true. They shared a bond for all eternity. As it was with Ouryuu, it was with Ryuuzin. Her Zanpakuto and Inner Hollow were now one with her. She was never alone... she would always have them both by her side... yet... why did she fell so lonely?
