Age: Appears to be 36, however his true age remains unknown.
Gender: Male
Personality:
Somewhat leaning towards the side of mentally insane. Kenpachi Zaraki is a man that has been overcome by the lust for battle. He is a war crazy machine that loves the idea of fighting for the enjoyment of it. From the outside, the man is seen as a complete and utter psychopath. However, there is a side to the large man that remains unknown to... just about everyone.Appearance:
He cares about Yachiru, and even though he'll die before admitting it, he would destroy an entire army if it meant that she would remain safe. The two have created a bond that can only be explained as an over-protective father for his daughter, even though he will outright deny it.
"You shouldn't attack me," Yachiru said to the now three-armed Nnoitra. "Ken-Chan will get mad."
"I'm not mad, you goof!"
All in all, if one would ever want to really see the man angry, they could tell Kenpachi that they tortured and/or killed Yachiru. But... the world probably isn't ready for it's reprecussions.
About 6'7" and weighing in at about 198 lbs, (Wow, he's a really lanky giant,) the man known as Kenpachi is one of the most imposing men in all of Soul Society. At first, one might think that the bells tied to the tips of his hair and the eyepatch on his right eye were meant for style. However, the war-crazed giant uses these as methods to keep him from winning the battle before it even begins.Zanpakuto Spirit:
The tallest captain in Gotei Thirteen also probably wears the most hideous compilation of rags on his body. War-torn garments marks that the man clearly does not patch up his own clothes. Which... really doesn't make sense because everything he battles and his sleeve is ripped off, he comes back the next day with the sleeve again. Maybe Yachiru is the mastermind behind this confundlement...
The spirit of Kenpachi's Zanpakuto is unknown, probably even to himself. Long before the current time, Kenpachi began to ignore his Zanpakuto all together. It is the only reason that he happened to tie with Ichigo.Sealed Zanpakuto:
Until he learns to fight with his Zanpakuto, whoever it may be, he will never reach his full potential. However, that is a fact he probably does not realize.
Kenpachi does not have a sealed form of his sword, as he found out long ago that it was impossible to do so. The weapon he carries is a raw form of his sword, and bears no name to his knowlege.Shikai Description:
Bearing a white-wrapped hilt, the unnamed Shikai is a blade that is rusted from lack of care. It is thin and brittle with a jagged edge that makes the sword appear to be on the verge of breaking. However, the weapon is far from weak, and has the power to channel incredible amounts of reiastu in it's raw form.Shikai Abilities:
To be frank, the rather simplistic looking weapon bares teeth that one would want to dodge, if they didn't want to die.
1st Ability - UnnamedBankai Description:
Kenpachi swings his weapon in a deadly arc, unleashing an amount of yellow reiastu into desired direction. Such an energy release would easily obliterate anything that didn't channel enough soul power to oppose it.
2nd Ability - Kendo
An ablity, more so a fighting technique. Kenpachi grabs his weapon with both hands, channeling reiastu to it's full potential. It is only then that he can be considered to be at full strength. Attacks in this stance can be deemed catastrophic to its opponents.

History/Background:
Very little is known about the war-crazed Soul Reaper, aside from the fact that no one will ever know his true name.RP Sample:
Before he joined Gotei 13, he resided in District 80. District 80 was known for being the most lawless district surrounding Soul Society. In it, he became an incredible swordsman, fighting to survive each passing day. Eventually, he even adopted the districts name, which was "Zaraki" and used it as his own surname.
The nameless man eventually left this district and ran across a tiny girl with obnoxiously pink hair. Surprisingly enough, the nameless girl did not fear his sword, even though it was smeared with the blood of others, which was a fact that the man never tried to hide. Eventually he decided to name her, as she was without one, and named the small girl after the only person he ever admired, Yachiru. At the same time he also took on the name of Kenpachi, who traditionally, was bestowed on the captain of the 11th division in Gotei 13. Since that time Yachiru and Kenpachi became inseparable, like peanut butter and jelly. (Have you ever been able to get the two apart? I. think. not!)
Kenpachi Zaraki and Yachiru then made their way to Soul Society, easily defeating the former Kenpachi within a matter of seconds. Without hesitation Zaraki killed the former captain and took his seat within Gotei 13. After that act was completed he immediately placed Yachiru in position as his Vice-Captain. Many people have doubted his decision, but have been met with a very disgruntled Kenpachi. The 11th division soon took a turn as the most bloodthirsty division in all of Soul Society. Because of Kenpachi's free spirit, the 11th squad attained it's own set of rules and regulations, different from that of Soul Society. In the end, no one seemed altogether too opposed to this. Kenpachi was then forced to learn Kendo, which is did so grudgingly as he never wanted to use a technique that would not allow him to enjoy a battle.
A while later, Ichigo and his friends entered Soul Society in order to save their friend, Rukia Kuchiki. Kenpachi, caring nothing about the group or the girl, went out looking for a fight with the strongest member of their group. He eventually crossed blades with Ichigo Kurosaki, who seemed like a joke at first, but eventually surprised him. At the end of the battle, both men collapsed and were in dire need of medical assistance.
Kenpachi later found the same group again and surprisingly helped them fight against the captains of the seventh and ninth divisions. After everything finally settelled down in Soul Society, he told Yachiru that they were bound to meet again.
The next time he saw Ichigo, Kenpachi ended having to save the boy from a rather large giant, cutting it down with a single slice. He then seemed to find his matching fighting against Nnortia, the fifth Espada. That is, until Kenpachi finally gave in and used kendo, bringing him to his knees with a single blow.
Now the man continues to wait, train, and battle his heart out with his faithful friend by his side. Call him a mad man or a sociapath, in the end, Kenpachi Zaraki is a force to be reckoned with.

Funny, the man's brow furrowed slightly, I thought we would have gotten there by now.
He was lost, he just didn't know it. He never did.
I'm starting to get hungry... which is odd, because... we left after lunch. Kenpachi's eyes narrowed ever so slightly. What time is it?
Kenpachi glanced into the distance, noticing that the sun had already dissapeared from the horizon.
"Yachiru..." Kenpachi growled, "Are you sure we're going the right way?"
"Yup!" Said girl squealed as she clung to the tall man's shoulder. "Faster! Faster!"
"How much further?!"
"More! More!"
Kenpachi ground his teeth together and picked up the pace, it was starting to get dark now. Somehow he doubted that Yachiru's directions, simply because the trip was said to have taken thirty minutes, as opposed to six hours.
"Are you SURE we're going the right way?!" Kenpachi shouted to his pink-haired companion.
"You don't trust me?!" She retorted, feigning hurt. "I know we're going the right way! ...Probably!"
"PROBABLY?!" Kenpachi shouted, skidding to a halt. The sudden change in movement almsot threw the girl from his shoulder.
"Ack! Ken-Chan, I know where I'm going!" The Pink fluffball huffed and pouted.
"Enough! I'm going by MY sense of direction now!"
She blinked... once... twice. "Ken-Chan, you couldn't find the potty if you needed it."
Kenpachi groaned, it was going to be a long night.
-- 2 hours later...
"... Ken-Chan... I don't think we're in Soul Society anymore." Yachiru, murmured attempting to rub her eyes while clinging to Kenpachi's shoulder, which wasn't really working.
Kenpachi didn't answer for a moment before slowing to a stop. "We should've brought Ikkaku or Yumichika with us."
"Ew, Lolipop and Weirdo?" Yachiru scrunched her face in disgust. "I dun wanna see them!"
Kenpachi sighed, obviously his sense of direction was getting them nowhere. "Alrighty Yachiru... which way should we go?"
Yachiru piped up immediately, bouncing up and down happily a couple times before calming down and thinking. "Ummm.... that way!"
She pointed to her right and giggled. Heaving a deep breath, the large man immediately began to bolt in that direction, taking off at the speed of a bullet train.

"Oy..." Kenpachi's nose flared slightly, echoed by a giggle from nearby. "Could you at least cut me?!"
The onlooker gasped in dismay as his weapon struggled against the large man's neck, apparenly attempting to lob his head off.
"H-how?!"
The captain sighed, bells ringing softly from the head movement. "You're pathetic. You came out of the shadows, attemptin' catch me off guard, an' you can't even draw my blood."
Lifting a hand up, he grasped the blade of said offending weapon and thrust forward, causing the attack to fly back several feet.
"Che'." Kenpachi breathed, before lazily resting his blade on his shoulder. "An' here I thought there was gonna be a fight in you. Whadda joke."
He turned slightly, eye swiveling to meet an incredibly tiny girl. "C'mon goof. I'm done here."
"N-not so quick!"
Kenpachi turned back to the man, "You're still here? I thought you would've pissed yo' pants by now."
"You think you've won?!" The man cried out desperately, eyes darting about. "This is far from over!"
Kenpachi's eyes widened slightly with shock as blades began to fly from every direction, crashing into his form before exploding. Dust, concrete and rubble was immediately thrown into the air.
With the smog still thick, about twenty masked conspirators shunpou'd onto the building, before stepping towards the lone speaker.
"Heh, I guess it's over already." One said, slinging his weapon from his back.
"Y-yea..." The man responded, as if still in shock.
"C'mon, let's kill the kid and get this over with."
Disregarding her own safety, Yachiru stared at the every dense smog, eyes slightly wide. "Ken... Chan..."
"Ugh... I hate killing kids, but..." The man nearest to her raised his weapon. "Sayanora..."
The sword was never swung, but blood splattered into the air nonetheless.
"You shouldn't turn your back on me just to kill little girls." His voice was low, but the malicious smile was still on his face. "Now, shut up and die."
The man looked down in horror at the jagged blade sticking out of his chest. He then looked at the wielder of the offending blade and gasped. The man didn't have a scratch on him. "H-how--..." He never got to finish the sentence before Kenpachi ripped the weapon from him, rendering the form lifeless.
"You shouldn't attack me!" Yachiru said, smiling and point at the group of shocked men. "Ken-Chan will get mad."
"Shut up goof!" Kenpachi retorted before turning on the men. "Heh, men dartin' through shadows. Whadda bunch of cowards."
In the blink of an eye the tall man rushed forward, slicing and dicing as he went. Screams of pain and horror began to fill the night sky as men began to lose their lives to the blade of the infamous Zaraki.
From her perch, Yachiru frowned slightly, Ken-Chan's smiling! Too bad it'll be over so soon.
As the last of the fighters were cut down with a pain-stricken cry, the man grudgingly sheathed his blade.
"... To think I came all the way to fight a bunch of pansies." He muttered, eye surveying the carnage around him. "What a waste of time..."
"You okay?" He asked, without looking up, a grim expression slowly began to set on his face.
"... Yea." Yachiru replied, as if shocked that he would ask such a question.
"Good." Came his response as he turned to go. "C'mon goof, let's go home."
She smiled and nodded twice for good measure. "Okay!"
