Eloy often leaves people guessing as what his intentions really are. Opinions about him vary, from "Heartless arrancar" to "benign trickster". What he says is often at odds with what he does, and what he seems to do is often at odds with the final outcome. Below are some traits which can be stated with a considerable amount of certainty. Being the 5th Espada's soldier, Eloy is their messenger and the occasional medium through which they act. He never disobeys the direct orders of his superiors, even if he does not really agree with what they want him to do. However, Eloy likes to exploit whatever small give he has in his orders to fulfill his own desires.

Eloy often introduces himself as the Webweaver for good reason - he will mislead or cheat in order to get his purpose accomplished. He never says an outright lie, and most of his clues usually have at least a fraction of truth in them. Often, he will play pranks just to see the reactions of those around him, or manipulate others to do the work for him seemingly just because he can. His catchphrase is "That is a secret". Despite his prowess in battle, he prefers subtlety and manipulation over violence, although when Eloy does enter a battle, he is known to be a ruthless opponent.

Appearance:

Eloy is rather short, only 5 feet, 4 inches tall, with a slim build. He's light, only weighing in at 112 pounds. His hair is a silvery blue, and longer on the front right side than anywhere else. His sleeves are unusual, in that one of the sleeves is extremely large, while the other is extremely small compared to the other.

Arrancar Powers:

Recopilación De Nubes Del Cielo Espada(Gathering Clouds of Heaven Sword): Light Forms around his Zanpakuto, Increasing the blades width, Length, and sharpness considerably, while not adding any weight. The sword is normally only three feet long, but that doubles in this state, as does it's width, and cutting power. It looks slightly odd, due to the hilt not increasing in size, but since no weight is added, it feels like his normal sword.

Luz De Los Cielos(Light of Heavens): A laser shot from a pointed finger, this is very much like Bala, but instead of a small ball of power, it's a long beam, and instead of being blunt force, it is a piercing attack, with as much piercing power behind it as Eloy's normal Zanpakuto i.o.w. his non-resurreccion, non-buffed by "Recopilación De Nubes Del Cielo Espada" Zanpakuto. Along with the finger, he's also capable of firing one off with a kick.

Natural Arrancar Powers:

Cero: Eloy's Cero is golden-yellow(due to light powers) in color, and fired from his right palm.

Pesquisa: Eloy has the same Pesquisa as Grimmjow; He can sense the Reiatsu of enemies near him, so he can gauge how strong they are. And it makes him much harder to sneak up on, as it functions much like sonar.

Hierro: An Arrancar technique in which the user's reiryoku condenses, creating a steel-hard skin strong enough to block a zanpakutō. This also allows them to fight some of the sword-wielding Shinigami barehanded. Eloy has a very good Hierro, allowing him to not be cut by most attacks, but stronger characters can cut him with some difficulty.

Resurrección Release phrase::

He holds his Zanpakuto straight out directly in front of him, both hands on the hilt, and calls:

"What was Hidden, now Shines. Luz Oculta!"

Resurrección Appearance::

His sword vanishes, as Bone starts to cover his right arm, splitting into a flat pincher at the end. The bits of hollow mask leftover from his transformation replicate, making him have the bones sticking out on both sides of his face. Out of his back, Ten golden-yellow tentacle's emerge. Yellow half-circle's appear underneath his eyes. Finally, his eye's change to golden, and his entire body is surrounded by a glow.

Resurrección Abilities::

As with most arrancar, Eloy undergoes an increase in speed, strength, and durability in his Resurreccion.

Garra Luminoso(Shining Claw): The inside of his claw's generate sharp light. When the claw is open, it makes the Light into a wide sword, 6 feet long and three feet wide at the base(For comparison, see the size of Tia Harribel's resurreccion sword). The blade can cut 2.5 times Recopilación De Nubes Del Cielo Espada mentioned before, and since it is entirely light, it's even lighter.

When the claw is closed, a small bright point of light appears at the tip where the end of the two halves come together. When swung, the point extends out into a whip with very great range, speed, and flexibility, but only as much cutting power as the Recopilación De Nubes Del Cielo Espada.

Luminoso Cielo(Shining Heaven): The tentacles on his back are each capable of firing off their own Luz De Los Cielos, each of the same power as the original. The tentacles are capable of firing off the beams rapid fire, however, they're aim suffers when they do this, making it more effective to simple take careful aim. Eloy only does the rapid fire if he starts to panic. Along with this, if all 10 form a point and fire at the same time, It will make a massive shot that is larger than Eloy's Cero, and still uses cutting power instead of blunt force. Their weakness is that the tentacle's are NOT strong, and are rather delicate, with only a third of the Hierro of the rest of Eloy's body, and they don't grow back until the next time he uses the Resurreccion. Losing even a single one prevents the usage of the combined shot.

However, even if he loses them all, he can still use lasers through Luz De Los Cielos.

History/Background:

Due to an attack on his Plus, because of a negligent Shinigami who had not payed any real attention when taking him to Soul Society. However, he WAS saved from being consumed... just in time that he gave into the despair that he was about to die, and became a hollow, right there. Because the Shinigami was straight out of the academy, when the transformation into hollow was completed right there, he was caught be surprise, and that Hollow's first meal was some good Old Shinigami Soul. This attracted slight attention from Aizen, who at this point had already started planning, but it was quickly dismissed as a fluke. After all, he did catch the shinigami off guard.

For a long time, Eloy was a normal Hollow, simply devouring Human/Plus souls, but... he always got lucky. Always escaped, always got that soul, and sometimes, killed the Shinigami that attacked him. An ordinary Hollow, who seemed almost destined to reach the Menos class for some reason. Yet again, he attracted Aizen's attention as a potential candidate for shinigamification, better known as the process which turns Hollows into Arrancar.

Due to the fact that as a normal Hollow, he seemed to have no special qualities, he eventually lost that attention. Eventually, at the age of 76, he finally became a Gillian class Menos, who had only one noteworthy trait to speak of; his Cero, instead of the normal Red, was Golden-Yellow in color. Highly unusual, since most of the Hollow Line don't get another color Cero until they are very high leveled Arrancar. (Note: Color change at this point has nothing to do with how strong he is, but it's the first sign of his light powers.)

This was a sign of the already dominant growing personality of that Gillian; Eloy's. Said Gillian class continued wandering the depths of Hueco Mundo, doing what all Menos class do. He devoured other hollows. The normally average mask of Gillian hollows began to give way to his mask, and he dominated the body. The turning point into Adjuchas came when he got into a fight with another Gillian class Hollow, and managed to win, absorbing the body of another Gillian into the colloected Hollow body. Doing so was what finally gave him the power to become Adjuchas, and gain a small bit of sentience.

Being adjuchas, he quickly learned of the state Vastos Lorde, but didn't have much hope for reaching it. After all, his powers were rather bland, nothing abnormal. What he didn't know, was that all of his special powers were latent, simply waiting for the chance to emerge with a human form. And eventually, when Aizen took over the Hueco Mendo, and took this seemingly simple hollow in for the shinigamification process, they got it.

Light. Blinding Light. An unusual power for something such as an arrancar to be sure. Many got elemental powers, but they were always at least neutral, or something traditionally viewed as "evil" such as darkness. But instead, a power usually viewed as the ultimate form of goodness emerged. a power seen as a purifying force. It was slightly unusual, but the man in charge of ranking the new born arrancar didn't see any problem with it. And so, the newly named "Eloy Maximianus" became the Fraccion of the 5th Espada.

Upon his first mission, Eloy showed the side of light commonly ignored by folklore; To blind. He was an incredibly talented trickster, and he did so just because he seemed to like it, tricking even though he didn't actually need to. It was the most integral part of his personality, this ability to deceive. It was almost... disturbing, his sheer talent at subverting people's trust.

In retrospect, his powers made perfect sense. Enough light could blind better than any darkness, and leaves far more damage behind.

(Note: About the mentions of Aizen, the man put no more effort than he did into any other random arrancar. It's like when your reading the newspaper, and you see something interesting, you read the article, go "Meh" and go back to normal routine. Then you see another article with the same subject, but it's got more info now, etc.)

"Heh... Well, Aimi-San, you'll just have to trust me, won't you?" said Eloy, speaking to the frightened Plus he had just "saved" from being stabbed by a man in Black kimono with a sword. In actuality, he had just stopped her from receiving a soul burial by The Shinigami that was to be her protector. But, of course, Aimi, the recently deceased Plus, didn't know that. All she knew was that a man in black with a large sword had come out of nowhere and attempted to assault her with a large sword. After this, a man wearing white had stopped him using Light. Sure the bones stuck to one side of his face were a little creepy, but so far, he had been polite, and had seemingly saved her soul from destruction.

Aimi swallowed, and stuttered out "W-w-who a-are you?".

In response, Eloy simply grinned and responded, "I am Eloy Maximianus, temporarily at your service! he cheerfully proclaimed, taking a bow. His face went disturbingly close to the dead body of the Shinigami, who had a hole in his throat from the laser Eloy had shot him with. It was smoking, obviously burned. Eloy's grinned faded into a smug smirk. The reason for this shinigami being so easy to kill... he was quite obviously a new one, barely out of the academy. Taking down Soul Society, one at a time.

"Um... Eloy, what's with the bone?" asked Aimi, still a little bit stunned about the whole matter. Especially the dead body in front of them. And there was just something... off, about the bones sticking to his face. They wasn't anything explicitly WRONG about them, not after he had saved her, but there was a very definite feeling for the girl.

And she felt like she should be afraid.

Eloy reached out his hand, offering it to her, as if to help her up. As he did so, two things happened. One, the body of the Shinigami vanished. Two, a Black... hole was really the only way to describe it, appeared floating in the air behind Eloy. "Come on, don't act so scared Aimi-san." said Eloy, as the Darkness in that hole started to focus, and solidify, creating a pathway. "Don't you trust me?" he asked, as she took his hand, her grip growing firm.

"Because you shouldn't, Aimi-San." he said, his grip on her hand growing impossibly strong, and he tossed the helpless girl straight into the Garanta behind him, straight into Hueco Mundo, where she would make a decent meal for any of the newborn Hollows coming into existence there. Before Aimi could even scream, the path closed, cutting her off from any means of escape.

Eloy just smiled.
