Name: Miyuka Momosuke
Age: 160
Gender: Female
Personality:
Skill Level: Swordsmanship: Beginner
Skill Level: Shunpou: Intermediate
Skill Level: Hand-to-hand: Beginner
History/Background:
Age: 160
Gender: Female
Personality:
Miyuka is quite conservative and polite person, possessing kind and caring heart that seemed to be increasingly rare around shinigami, who tended to get arrogant and obsessed with their own power. She is really modest about her own strenght, often speaking less of herself than she really is. She often puts safety of others, especially those not involved anyhow, on top priority.Appearance:
When she speaks, she is always polite and keeps on positive tone to her voice. she tends to use honorifics to everyone, and often refers to even her peers with honorific tittles. When it comes to action, she tends to be stern, and she takes her duties as shinigami very seriously, always aiming for top performance.
Miyuka stands roughly 5' 5" tall, carrying herself straight up and with pride it seemed, face always up, unless the situation demands otherwise. Her skin was soft coloured, slight tan on it from the days spent under the sun. Her hair was straight and black, usually kept open, with red hairband around her forehead, above her blue eyes.Zanpakuto Spirit:
Her body possessed usual charms of trained and well fed woman, soft, curvy and yet in shape. This however would not be seen by near anyone, as she always seemed to wear her shinigami attire, a shrine maiden suit coloured in the same fashion as the traditional shinigami clothing.
Hikari no Miko (sorceress of Light)Sealed Zanpakuto:
This zanpakuto is kido based, light type zanpakuto
Her Zanpakutos spirit takes form of an old, seer like woman dressed into a flower printed, colourful kimono, much resembling a geisha. She is wrinkly all over and slightly hunchbacked, short lady. Her personality is calm and soothing mostly, often giving mysterious insights and riddles rather than direct answers.
Miyukas relationship to this medium of her zanpakuto is like that of grandmothers and grand-daughters, and she treats the spirit with utmost respect, trying her best to follow its instructions to the letter, but still now and then getting scolded for not listening.
Her spiritual world is a japanese garden with a shrine, plastering in gentle light, covered with apple and cherry trees. Her zanpakuto claimed that this was to reflect the inner peace she possessed within, even if she did not realize it herself.
In sealed form the sword has chosen to stay as modest as possible, remaining as nonidentified katana often seen on shinigamis of academy and such.Shikai Description:
release command: "kiyomemasu, Hiraki no Miko!" (purify, sorceress of Light)Shikai Abilities:
The sword bursts in bright light, shining for a moment, and when the light fades, it has taken a new form.
The shikai of Hiraki no Miko keeps the katana shape, though it now takes more unique appearance, the handle now red coloured, and the guard turning into somewhat oval shaped. The guard is black, with thick gold trimmings on its sides. On the end of the handle there are two beads hanging from strings, and at the base of the blade there is blue flame symbol.
Mamori no kido: (Talisman of Spirit Way)Bankai Description: Bankai Abilities: Bankai Abilities: Bankai Abilities: Skill Level: Kidou: Advanced
This ability allows the caster to stock kido spells for rapid use. the ammount of spells possible to stock and the level they can be depends on the reiatsu of the user. These spells are seen as tags much similar to those used in rituals on japanese shrines, and they glow with blue coloured, fire like reiatsu. Each spell needs to be cast like as if using it at the moment, with or without incantation, but instead of firing it gets held back.
at her current level she is able to stock spells up to kido level 35, and to create up to 4 talismans.
Draw back is that the power is limited, especially without incantation, and with incantations it takes time to prepare enough of the spells to make it powerful. Each spell cast on talisman takes as long to cast as it would to use the spell, with or without incantation, and can only be cast if the caster is free. That means that while she can cast them while moving around, if she is actively parrying attacks or forced to use shunpo, she won't have time to concentrate her reiatsu into kido.

History/Background:
Miyuka came to wake up at Rukongai some 160 years ago, being back then still young girl. She was soon enough picked up from wandering by one of the many family communities that the souls of Rukongai formed, her adobtion mother deciding to take the young girl into her care. She was amongst the luckier souls that entered, her district happening to be rather calm and relatively prosperous area, the living there being mostly calm and easy going. From small age she was able to produce some sort of reiatsu, mostly forming small light balls and such.RP Sample:
Her life changed completely when she was scouted out to the Seireiteis academy, chosen as potential shinigami. At first she was hesitant on leaving her home and entering new enviroment. After long debating and thinking it over, she decided to do it, realizing that if she became shinigami, she might be able to change things, and help those who lived in Rukongai.
So she entered the academy, starting her training amongst other recruits. She didn't stand out mostly, apart from the kido trainings, in which she showed above avarage potential. Her swordmanship and hand to hand combat on other hand seemed to drag, barely keeping up with rest of the class. She ended up passing the academy along rest of her class, apart from those who had been picked out pre graduation to squads. She entered as member amongst others to a squad, herself getting assigned to 13th to begin with.
She served for many years as regular shinigami amongst others, not having yet discovered her shikai, nor possessing too much of ability in any other aspect either. Her days went on mostly by doing mundane tasts, and now and then joining hollow eradication teams. As this went on, she noticed that her progression was quite slow, if non-existent, compared to rest of the shinigami around her. She felt like she was being left behind, causing her to slowly despair.
At this moment of darkness a light appeared in her dream, and the light claimed to be no other than the light that resided within her. As she woke up, the name Hikari no Miko was on her lips. With this discovery of her shikai she found new strenght within herself, and once again she was able to see her destiny infront of herself.
Miyuka opened her eyes, a soothing, gentle light plastering her as she slowly stood up. The air was sweet scented from apples and cherries, the trees and their beautiful flowers seen all around her. Even if the sight was familiar, she found herself always admiring it. More so she felt proud that this was what her inner soul looked like, even if she had sometimes hard time to believe it.
She started to walk down the stoned path, one she had walked so many times. She already knew where it would lead before she saw it, a gazebo like shrine in the middle of the garden. As she had already expected, a woman sat there. She was old looking, already small, as if squished by years, and yet she radiated inner strenght. Miyuka felt a smile rising on her lips as she hurried her steps. "Miko-dono." she greeted the woman.
"Ah... Miyuka my dear... how nice to see you again." The old woman said with soothing, calm voice, a kind smile rising to those wrinkly cheeks. This woman was somewhat of a mother figure to Miyuka nowadays, someone she looked up to, even if she was actually part of her.
"Miyuka... do you know why you are here?" the old lady asked. Miyuka stared at her for a moment, looking confused. "no i don't" se finally admits. "Ofcourse you don't... not yet..." The old woman said, as enigmatic as always.
"Miyuka my dear..." she started, taking a long breath. "There are many paths, and after every path, there is another path. Once you reach the trees top, you reach for heavens..." the old lady explained, as always speaking in riddles. "I do not understand..." Miyuka whispered. "yes, you don't, but you will, and when you do, we meet again." The old woman said, and the world started to fade off."
"W-wait, Miko-dono, I-..." Miyuka stopped mid sentence, realizing she was again in her room, back in reality. She sat there for a long time, wondering what the old lady had meant with what she had said. It made no sense to her, but she knew that eventually it would, as was always the case when she conversed with her zanpakuto.
------------------------------------------
She woke up at the next morning, peeking from side of her eye to window, and saw that sun was already high. First she just grunted and closed her eyes again, but on very next moment her eyes widened in realization. She spun on her feet quickly, panic starting to strike. She was late, she was so late!
Miyuka dressed up quickly, bursting out of her quarters, running as fast as she could, now and then almost tripping or crashing with someone else. "sorry! sorry!" she kept on shouting, running towards the 3rd squads offices. She was late again, and she was already embarrassed over it.
