Skill Level: Hand-to-hand: Advanced
History/Background:
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Personality:
Stubborn as can be, Tsuyosa is one of the most steel-willed people you may ever meet. Once he sets his mind to something, it's not going anywhere. He is always determined to finish everything he starts, and then start again. He is a hard worker and can be a completely loyal friend.Appearance:
However, he is also one of the most hard-headed people you may ever meet. Tsuyo abhors listening to others when he's already focused on something, and his finds it difficult to stop and consider suggestions and the oppinions of others. Some people call his stupid for this, and some know that he's just too stubborn for his own good. When people tell Tsuyo to 'stop look and listen,' the response is, "Just did," as he proceeds with whatever he was doing.
He can be a little too brave for his own good too. His problem, is he has no reguard for danger and sometimes he even LOOKS for it! He's a bit of a thrill-seeker actually. This is probably the reason you see him spending more time at the skate park or freerunning as opposed to doing anything else. Maybe that's the reason why he has a "C" average in most of his classes... Tsuyo is smarter than he lets on, but that's another story.
Tsuyosa may do some pretty absent minded things, but he can be quite intelligent once he settles down a bit. The only problem is, he never seems to show any signs of calming and settling down. He always seems to be on the move, but once in a blue moon when he stops and takes a breath, he can be very insightful, and he notices the most minute of details.
A bit of a joker, Tsuyosa is always up for a laugh, and tries to brighten any dull mood he comes across. Whenever he meets someone who's like a drone, he'll start poking fun at them until something happens, like a personality shift.
Seeing Tsuyo angry or afraid isn't something you're likely to see, but it can happen. When angered, Tsuyo has a variaty of levels for this. It ranges anywhere from mildly annoyed, to completely enraged, to his stubborn personality taking over and him ceasing any listening. His fear only happens once in a blue moon, but when he's scared, he's dead scared. Like a deer in headlights. It's hard to get back up on your feet once you've taken a fall, and Tsuyo knows this all too well.
Origin of Power:
A bit short, standing at roughly 5'5, Tsuyo is a pretty puny guy. Well, not too much so. He weighs something of a hundred ten pounds, which isn't too shocking seeing how small the guy is. He's got a bit of a lanky figure, and always seems to have a dumb grin on his face. He has bright, deep indigo colored eyes, and short messy black hair that's always hiding under a baseball cap. You can always see him wearing some baggy t-shirt and pants that are suitable for running. The guy's always on the move, and even his Attire screams it. Seeing Tsuyosa wearing ANY formal attire is enough to make anyone who really knows him think they're dreaming. It's always casual friday to Tsuyosa, and maybe that's why he always keeps his uniform looser than his teachers appreciate. He's known for dissappearing into the restroom at the end of a school day and emerging a few minutes later in a baggy t-shirt, jeans, and whatever running shoes he happened to have with him. His shoes are always somewhat worn down, adding evidence to the fact that he's a runner. If you see him skateboarding, he's probably not wearing a helmet, and he's probably got just a completely black board with nothing special about it.
If you ask Tsuyosa, he'll probably tell you his powers are nature's gift to him, and proof that he's supposed to be a stunt man one day. In reality, he got them from spending so much time around people who excreeted large amounts of reiatsu that his powers, which were dormant for quite some time, eventually came into Tsuyo's focus and lead to his conclusion about his future line of work.Special Abilities:
Free Running - Tsuyosa is a free runner, and thus he's more agile and quicker than many people. This gives him a good use of his surroundings, and given his level in the sport, he's talented to begin with. He started when he was ten, doing it mostly as a goof-off before his parents decided if he was going to do it he was going to do it right, and after doing their homework they found out that it wasn't exactly a formal sport like gymnastics, which Tsuyo was a 'little' too stubborn to try. "It's too girly," he had said numerous times before.(NOTE: Freerunning is a sport where people do fluid gymnastics in an urban/rural enviroment, typicly running in the streets and over rooftops and such.)Powers First Stage:
Skateboarding - Like the name says, Tsuyosa loves skateboarding, and can often be found at a skateboard enjoying himself as he does. He started when he was nine, and unlike freerunning, he wasn't exactly talented, although once he started freerunning the skills built on eachother.
Karate - Well, he wouldn't exactly be talented at that either, considering he started when he was six and he's currently only a brown belt. Tsuyosa wasn't really much when it came to martial arts because he lacked disipline, and the ability to remember his kadas. Let's face it, without kada's you don't advance in that sport.
Name: Koutetsu Hone (Steel Bone)Powers Second Stage:
This ability doesn't have any special techniques -currently anyways. The only thing this power does, is it allows Tsuyo to change the structure of his bones, and change how hard they are, how dense they are, and so on and so forth. This does NOT affect his skin, or his organs or any other part of his body. So, if he were to punch a brick wall while his hands were filled with steel bones, his muscles and his skin would be unprotected and would almost certainly be torn up by said brick wall. It takes a little les than a second for Tsuyo's bones to completely harden, and after the change his movements slow and stiffen somewhat. Thus, he typicly lets the structure of his bones change at a moments notice, letting them harden and then loosening back to his orignial state.

History/Background:
Well, He was a bit of an oddball, but Tsuyo had a pretty average life, save the stubborn love of sports, mainly freerunning. When he was five, his parents realized what nonsense they had gotten themselves into with this kid, and they imediately decided against adding fuel to the fire: Having another. Tsuyo was always getting into trouble, climbing trees he'd never get down from, sitting on the roof in the rain, really, just anything that a five year old boy shouldn't be doing. And let's face it, that was a lot of stuff. So maybe you couldn't say that Tsuyosa was average in any way. The only thing that was "normal" about him was his lack of normality.RP Sample:
When he was six, his parents tried to sign him up for karate, which Tsuyo didn't have the disipline for. They thought that maybe it would help the little crazy demo-I mean, Tsuyosa find some focus and an outlet for all of this excess energy that went towards his thrill-seeking. Unfortunately, that only helped for the half-hour in the day that Tsuyo was in the dojo every other day or so. The rest of the time he was still getting himself into binds he wouldn't escape alone, and when he was seven, as if by magic, he began to see ghosts.
It was a little hard for the guy to understand why he was seeing ghosts, but a few of them had some stories to tell. One of them, dressed in a black kimono and weilding a sword, even told him about a place called, "Soul Society," it wasn't until a year or two later that Tsuyosa understood that that wasn't a story, but a fact. It was a little odd to him, but that was all fine. It didn't concern him... Did it?
It may have, but Tsuyosa didn't really care. It wasn't long after he realized his standing in that story that he began skateboarding. He had noticed something about his body though. He noticed that he could change his bones to become like steel, and he called it, Kotetsu Hone, just for the sake of having an idea of what it was. But he noticed that it kept him from breaking his bones when he fell, which was great for him. After all, he had more time to progress that way. He could use this power to give him more time to goof around, and it kept him from ever getting more than a friction burn or a deep cut when he fell. Perfect. When he was 13, he discovered Freerunning, and that was when he began to use his powers to their real extent. He was constantly using that gift just so that he could keep going when he pulled his stunts. He did know, however, that this wasn't something he could take for granted. And he vowed to keep it a secret no matter what... But how long can one keep such a secret?
"Stupid homework," Tsuyosa grumbled as he trudged home. His backpack was too heavy for him to freerun, and that pissed him off. Why did he NEED all of these damn books anyways? It's not like he really did, and as he walked on, he wanted to say something... But he didn't know what. All he knew was he was angry. Say, why didn't he bring his skateboard today? It would have made this easier, but he left it at home in his garage. He wasn't wearing his uniform anymore, he had thrown it into his locker. He wasn't wearing his usual baseball cap either. Instead, he walked with his messy black hair falling around his head. Why was it so damn hot out?
"Grr... It's like those damn teachers don't have anything better to do besides think up homework for us to do!" He growled to himself before he saw a metal railing. Perfect. He jumped up onto it, swinging his heavy backpack over his shoulder and letting it fly over into a nearby tree. A big stupid grin that made him look like he just discovered a diamond mine formed on his face, and he said, "Alright! I'm just not gonna do it! I have better things to do with my- aw who'm I kidding, I've got too much time on my hands..."
He sighed, stepping off the railing and walking back to his backpack. He thought for a moment, knowing that he needed at least a 75% average if he was going to survive the year. His dad would murder him if he didn't... Well, I'm gonna die eventually... Just hopefully not today.
He looked over his shoulder, wondering if anyone was around.
