Name: Sora Kuronai
Age: 104
Gender: Female
Personality:
Skill Level: Swordsmanship: Advanced
Skill Level: Shunpou: Beginner
Skill Level: Hand-to-hand: Intermediate
History/Background:
Age: 104
Gender: Female
Personality:
Contrary to her frail appearance, Sora is quite spirited and is always ready to bring up her true feelings in an argument. She is unafraid to state her oppinion to anyone, which can often times get her into trouble. She is extremely oppinionated and very stubborn. Another thing about this, is her remaining casual to anyone and everyone she meets. When people are overly formal to her, she has a tendency to facepalm herself and scolding them about it.Appearance:
She is quite energetic, always seeming to practice her balance or swordsmanship, kidou and is quite enthusiastic about it. She finds sitting still to be a bit of an issue, and is always on the move with something. She is easily bored, but she always sticks to her motto: "Finish what you've started."
Standing at exactly five feet tall, and weighing in at about seventy-four pounds, Sora is a thin girl who looks to be about eleven. She is more like a cute kind of person as opposed to a beauty. Her hair is short, only about down to her chin, if that's even right. Her eyes are pale blue, some people even think that she is blind when they look at her eyes. Her skin is naturally pale, and she seems to be somewhat frail -a logical but false assumption.Zanpakuto Spirit:
Her black hair is very neat and well kept, except for a few strands of hair that fall into Sora's face. If embarrassed, she begins to blush and the rest of her face will become pale, her eyes looking apologetic.
She wears the basic shinigami robes: A black kimono, a white sash, a white kimono underneath the black one, the straw sandles, but not the tabis. There are a few minor, barely noticable tweaks about her uniform. For instance, Sora wears a necklace with a ruby charm on it that she received from a very close friend as a present. Her sash is tied behind her back, and is somewhat longer than she would need it to be, thus a small amount of her sash trails behind her wherever she goes. Finally, one her outer sleeves, there is a slight cut on each one that allows the inner kimono to become more obvious.
Sealed Zanpakuto:
Name: Tsubasame
Nickname: Tsu-chan
Personality: Tsubasame is a very caring personality. Whenever something happens to Sora she will jump into the situation by communicating with her and trying at all costs to see if she can help Sora to remedy the situation. If not, then she will attempt to draw Sora's mind away from whatever is troubling it. Possibly by doing something to amuse her or to distract her in almost any way.
Tsubasame is a bit of a clown, and quite curious. She is very much like a child in many ways, always trying to gain approval of her weilder while at the same time trying to keep in sync with her. She is always trying to state what Sora is feeling, WHEN she feels it which is a bit annoying to Sora, but both have learned to laugh off the others quirks. Usually the two are like sisters, but this also means they can get into some fights using a very... um... 'colorful' vocabulary.
Appearance: A girl who is smaller than Sora, standing at three feet tall, a mini-human if you will. Well, except for the human part. She has long silky silver hair, and bright violet eyes. In her long and shiny hair, she wears a hairband that is a dark, purplish black with an intricate floral design. On her back, she has a pair of colorful and luminecent butterfly wings. Wherever she flutters, a colorful and glittery dust trails behind her.
Inner World: Sora's inner world is a very peculiar place in which their appears to be no ground whatsoever, and there are many kinds of different butterflies fluttering around. The butterflies are different colors based on her mood. The space that she stands in is like outer space, with glittery 'stars' ;eft from her zanpakutou spirit's fluttering about. The 'stars' will then swirl about in the space and illuminate everything within.
Her sealed zanpakutou is carried on her hip. The sheath is an average black, until the end when there is a white marking that closely resmbles a butterfly. Upon pulling the sword from the sheath, it is a two foot long blade attatched to a hilt that can only be held by one hand. The sword seems mostly normal except for the hilt seeming to be covered in some sort of colorful silk, and tied by two peices of string.Shikai Description:
Command: Flutter TsubasameShikai Abilities:
Appearence: Tsubasame is a rapier with a guard that appears to be a butterfly made from stained glass. While it appears as if the sword is flimsy and the guard is fragile, the sword is packed with concentrated reiatsu. A testament to this is the fact that when Tsubasame is swung, a glittery and colorful dust will trail behind the blade. Because the blade is double edged, there is much more pressure on Sora to watch how she swings.
Zanpakutou Affinity: Tsubasame is a kidou based zanpakutou that creates butterflies made from kidou that will create an explosive effect on contact with anything that gets in its path. The blasts aren't too much bigger than the butterflies, the smallest being a foot diameter and the largest being about nine feet.
Bankai Description:Hyaku Hiki no Chou
By focusing kidou into her zanpakutou, Sora can swing her sword and fire ten little butterfly-shapped kidous at an opponent. The kido's can only fly in straight patterns, and thus the accuracy for each one is low although the chance of hitting a target is still possible due to the fact that they spread out. (1 foot diameter of explosion)Nabiki
This technique will cause Tsubasame to glow before a heave of Sora's sword (Slashing vertically) will send one enormous butterfly with a wingspan of three feet wide at an opponent. It has the same effect as Hyaku Hiki no Chou, but is more destructive and less accurate. This can be used 2 times a fight, and it takes time to prepare. (Nine Feet Diameter)

History/Background:
It was somewhat dark. Maybe it was eight pm? Maybe even a little later. It didn't matter too much, not particuarly. Not at all really, it was almost completely irrelevent. The only thing interesting about it was a small butterfly that flew into the hovel in which Sora was to reside. Landing on her nose, maybe an hour after she was born and she was simply resting, Sora awoke, only to see large and colorful wings that were somewhat still just above her face. Reaching up to touch it, she watched as instead of retreating the butterfly stood unphased by the incoming hand. Why was that anyways? It seemed very odd, but to Sora, all she saw was a beautiful butterfly resting on her face, and eventually it lulled her back to sleep.RP Sample:
From that day on, she heard a voice. A soft and gentle voice, that could repel any fears or worries from her. Even when she was three, and she was wandering the rukongai district, the fifty-second district. It wasn't exactly safe. She wore a plain black kimono with a white butterfly embroidered onto the back. The sleeves just barely fell off over her hands, and would droop over them whenever she raised her hand. Her feet were bare, and it was taking a lot just to avoid the broken glass on the ground. Why the hell was there all this broken glass anyways? Another fight had broken out, that's what. Sora didn't see why this was happening so often. This place was just too violent. It didn't really help that her parents had died in a fire. She was alone in this place. Completely alone.
It didn't take long for Sora to decide she would die if she didn't know how to fight. In fact, she was only four years old when that omnipresent voice advised her to learn how to defend herself and her friends. It took little persuasion for Sora to agree that she had to learn some way of fighting. She learned barely any, but she learned how to fight using freestyle martial arts. It was barely any help, but it was enough. Just enough for her to be able to defend herself. And somehow it helped, when she awoke one day to find a katana resting under her pillow. This was the embodiment of the voice that she had been hearing, and it never left her side.
From that day forth, she pretty much passed off her katana as a trinket, not an actual tool. She wouldn't carry it around as if she was intending on fighting with it but would instead keep it hidden in a sack she would carry on her back. After all, if she ran into someone who was just a little too violent, a sword would be an invitation to attack. Still she felt the inescapable sense that she needed to learn how to use it, and she constantly searched for places to train herself with it. At first, she was awkward holding a sword. She had grown considerably since three years ago when she found it, and wondered to herself, Why did I wait?
And so, Sora trained herself on her own. Although her form was somewhat shakey as she did not receive any formal swordplay, she gained quite a bit of experience with it and grew a signifigant amount in the few years she worked alone. She had actually grown to such an extent that when she decided to migrate into one of the districts closer to the sereitei, a passing shinigami and her crossed paths. It wasn't exactly a pleasant confrontation for Sora, as she didn't particuarly trust these shinigami. They did their job in the world of the living, but in the further reaches of the Rukongai where Sora had resided they did close to nothing. Why should she trust someone like that? For some reason, she did. And when he suggested that she become a shinigami, she simply nodded and thought about it, eventually turning up at the Shinigami academy to register.
She was a very promising student, despite the fact that she often seemed to slip off the grounds to somewhere that no one really knew about (or cared about) and since she wasn't exactly a troublemaker she was mostly left alone about it after a while. When she was in this place that she kept a secret, she was practicing her kidous and attempting deeper communication with her zanpakutou. Because of this, she was not only at a higher level with kidou than many other students, but she was also on good terms with her zanpakutou. She still dissappears every now and then, although no one knows where to, she is likely training back in that secret place for the sake of nostalgia.
"Hadou Number Four: Byakurai," Sora said as a small concetrated burst of lighting flew from her fingertips and into a rock, peircing it and continuing on to create something of a dent in the hard cold ground. She was in a cave. A pitch black cave. Well, not quite. She was in an underground cavern which was shut off from the rest of the world by being in the most remote and deserted place that anyone could ever think possible. She nodded to herself and then pulled her sword off of a nearby rock, seeing a silhouette of it through the moonlight.
She pulled the sword from the sheath and started to communicate with the zanpakutou spirit she called...
"Tsu-chan?" Sora asked in a down-in-the-dumps kind of voice, although she wasn't really.
Sora... why are you talking like that?
"How'd ya know I was just kidding around?" Sora asking in a much happier voice that could only sound like a little kid who had had way too much sugar that day.
Because you wouldn't come to me.
The area around Sora began to change into her inner world, pink butterflies fluttering all around Sora and the empty space. "Cheater, you looked at them."
You can't actually blame me for that.
"Sure I can Tsu-chan!" Sora said as the world began to shift away once more. On that note, she held up her sword, slipping it back into her sash and starting to run out of the labyrinth that was kept a secret for so long. Even as she ran, Tsubasame's voice echoed in her head.
You're weird.
"I know you are but what am I?" Sora said as she ran onwards.
To this, her zanpakutou only laughed to her as they rushed off to her division. After all, being back too late might be a problem. People knew that she would disappear for a short amount of time, but leaving for too long would mean major trouble. After all, she didn't want anyone to know about that place... And what was in it.
