History/Background:
Age: 240
Gender: Male
Personality:
Jin’s personality can be summed up in a word. Polite. Poor fellow is just too polite sometimes. It is bad enough that something that is generally considered a good trait to have, has socially stumped him. He is often taken advantage of for his inability to say no to a favor, and his inability to push someone to do something they don’t want to do.Appearance:
His unfortunate lack of social interlacement, as such, has left him in his own state of mind. You will often find him staring off into space, or nose deep in a book, that may or may not be held the right way up.
Other than his lack of social graces he is very intelligent, and quick witted. Always first to ask the hard questions and will follow his leader, whom ever that maybe at the time, right into the belly of the beast.
His hobbies include reading, calligraphy, Music, Playing his Violin, and whistling. Honestly though the whistling is more of a quirk or “tick” rather than a hobby.
Jin is a lanky man with average height. He has very light almost white hair that matches his fair completion. He keeps it well groomed and parted in the center. The “fly-away” bangs fall in front of his Bright blue eyes. His eyes are soft and bight of someone that has never seen blood and are filled with childhood glee and curiosity. Despite his child-like eyes and dazzling yet innocent smile, he face has aged into a fine featured adult with high cheek bones and a strong jaw-line.Zanpakuto Spirit:
His build is fine and yet deceptively strong. Long hours training to be the best has given him a very ripped muscle tone. He stands about 5’10 and weighs about 145 pounds. His light frame makes him naturally quick and makes it easy for him to dodge incoming attacks.
His Cloths are nothing out of the ordinary. He wears the traditional uniform of the Shinigami. He takes pride in his uniform making sure that everything is clean and ironed and that his sash is tied with the lengths the same on both side. He wears his sword at his left side as he draws with his left.
His real world cloths consist of a set of grey Pleated dress slacks and a blue button-up. He wears a pair of lightly smoked – frameless sunglasses.
Shimobashira (Ice Needles) is a happy little imp. Pointy ears and a playful smile. He has a habbit of know exactly what irritates you and pokes it. His smile is the only thing that looks warm about him though… his blue speckled skin is looks almost painful to touch. And there seems to always be an ice sickle hanging from his long pointy nose. His cloths include a white suit and tie with a blue button-up shirt. Like Ishi, the imp seems out of place in the clothing and his surroundings not really seeming to be all there.Sealed Zanpakuto:
Shimobashira’s inner world is full of magic and wonder. If you can imagine it, it is there, from dragons to unicorns, to candy houses. His own place is a little home on top of an Ice cream mountain.
His appearance matches him though as he is very, well, impish. He loves to play practical jokes and often hides Jin’s stuff in an attempt to loosen him up.
When sealed in the Katana Simobashira is a Nodachi, a much longer sword then the Katana. Its awkward length and size seem to match Jin’s own graces, but the length still offer a distinct advantage in terms of reach. The 12 inch handle is wraped in white leather and a fine royal blue material is criss-crossed over it to pride the handle with the additional grip.Shikai Description:
Simboshira , when released becomes a long 9 section (not including the handle and final tipped link) chain whip. The links are made of condensed ice shards that have formed edges all the way each link. At the end is the Katana handle with a portion of shard coming out (for potential blocking) and the Tip is a shard that has been filed down to a point for piercing. Swung at high speeds it makes a soft whistling sound.Shikai Abilities:
Misuto (mist): and obscuring mist bellows from the link of the whip and fill the area. This is used to hide his presents from Ishi’s opponent’s vision and help suppress his residue from being felt. Ishi is unhindered by the mist.Bankai Description:
Aisu Hoko (Ice Lance): From the tip of the whip comes a shard of ice about one foot in length, that is thrown from the momentum of the whip or is formed for other uses (i.e. Caltrops)
Heimenkyou Aisu (Mirror ice): Using the tip of Simboshira to draw a line in the floor, a thick wall of ice domes up from the floor. It is can be used a shield to a degree, but its primary function is act as a mirror and further confuse the opponent.

History/Background:
Birth/RebirthRP Sample:
Ishi’s life story is a tragic one. His mother died during child birth. His father never really got over the shock and blamed Ishi for taking his love away from him. After years of abuse the boy was finally take from his father, who was later incarcerated, and placed in a home with 14 other children. The home was ran by a strict older woman that was never truly satisfied with the state of his appearance, or the way he walked, or how he chewed his food. All in all, it never seemed he could do anything right.
He lived with her till he was in his late teens, always sure to obey her rules. When he finally moved out and got a place of his own, he was finally free. He got a job as a bank teller and was very good at his job.
One day however he was on his way home from work and noticed an old woman getting mugged in an alleyway. When he stepped in the mugger shot him and ran off. He would not recover.
Rukongai
When he arrive in the Soul Society he dropped right into the worst district on the north side. Living in the 80th district was a terrible struggle for food, but through his always pleasant attitude, regardless of his situation, Ishi succeeded in creeping everyone out to a point where even the Scum avoided him. He would walk by and some of the roughest people would whisper, “Why is he smiling?.”
“ No one knows, but he always is. No matter What!”
“He must be well connected with someone big.”
“Yeah I don’t want to mess with him.”
After a great time spent in this area Ishi couldn’t take the mess anymore. Someone had to put this place right. So he decided to go to the academy of Shinigami to one day come back and police the outer districts.
Academy:
Ishi Studied hard and stuck with his ideals of how one should act. When others were taking time to goof off, he was studying or practicing. He always made sure that his grades and performance were the best that he could do. Training hard paid off and he was quickly one of the most diligent students to ever go to the academy though probably not the most powerful. When he graduated he was not top of his class but no one would ever say he didn’t give everything he had to learning.
Jingi was in his room ironing his cloths for the week when he noticed a bird fly up to his window. It perched its self on the window ledge and watched him with great interest. It sang loftily as Jin finished putting his cloths neatly into their drawers. With the room in order and his morning workout done Jin picked up his Violin and made his way to the door. As he passed he gave the bird a little bow and a smile and asked to be excused.
The sun light hit his eyes and forced him to squint for only a moment as they adjusted. There was a soft breeze in the air and the smell of the cherry-blossoms danced upon the wind.
“Another beautiful day,” he said as he took up his place next to a now very familiar tree. He took up his violin and gently plucked the strings to check that they were in tune. He took a deep breath as he placed the bow on the strings and pulled it across them (and it made an evil hiss, then a band of demons join in… man I feel better now). He played a soft melody that seemed to fit the day. It felt lazy and happy like a Sunday morning after a big breakfast.
When the song was over he let out a breath and sighed as he closed his eyes and started to drift off to sleep.
“You’re very good.”
“Thank you oh so very much,” he said almost automatically. It was moment later that he realized it meant someone was there. He stirred with a start and his bright blue eyes flew open.
What he saw was a fairly attractive brunet setting in front of him. “Oh I am terribly sorry Miss. I was about to drift off when you started talking to me and I didn’t realize, “ he stammered on and apologized numerous times.
When he finished, he stared her right in the eyes as if waiting for something.
“That’s… OK?”
“ I assure you that it will never happen again. Oh I haven’t even introduced my self. Where are my manners today? My name is Jingi Misutsu, but my friends call me Jin. Honestly though I don’t know why I bother to say that though no one actually calls me that.”
“ I see…”
“ And what is your name? And I must say you are a very attractive lady.” He looks around a moment to find her walking off some ways away. “Oh, I see.”
After a moment of wondering why she left, Jin’s attention is placed upon an odd shaped cloud in the sky.
“That one kind of looks like a rabbit, with vampire teeth, riding a camel.” He murmured to himself.
Hours passed and the camel riding Bunnicula made its way across the sky to places unknown, when Jin finally rose and made his way back to his room. As he walked back he closed his eyes and started to whistle a tune he didn’t know and his usually large smile start to creep further up his face.
The rest of the night was just as uneventful and he loved it that way. When he went to bed, he was whisked off to lands of dragons and knights and suspiciously familiar rabbits with well pronounce over bites.
