Hikaru is a good hearted strong willed person. He is kind of mature and serious but he has a fun side which he expresses often. Once he is in battle he is very serious and doesn’t let his gaurd down. He hates it when people think they are better than everyone. He is very protective over people that are close to him. Hikaru has keen wits that help in battle as well as in his hobbies that he likes to test his skills in which is the game of shogi and go. He likes to take 2 naps daily, one around brunch time and one in the afternoon.Appearance:

General Appearance:Hikaru has brown and orange hair, brown eyes, and a light skin tone. Hikaru's Hair style is kind of unusual because, the back of his head is brown hair while in the front it is more of a light brown/blonde color. Hikaru is not to fat but actually, thin and not to tall. Hikaru has a normal sized mouth, nose, lip, teeth, etc. Hikaru’s head is more of an oval shaped head.

Hyouzanhebi(Iceberg Serpent [ヘビ氷山])
Appearance:Hyouzanhebi takes the appearance of a serpent with wings and feet of a bird.
Personality:Hyouzanhebi is a very intelligent spirit. His knowledge is so vast that he will often give facts on things that Hikaru sees. Hikaru and Hyouzanhebi talk a lot. Hikaru often consults him when he is in fights and even when they are talking to other people.Hyouzanhebi is very book smart and often lectures Hikaru when he makes mistakes even if it turned out all right. He says that you don’t always get a second chance. The bond between Hikaru and Hyouzanhebi is very close.
Innerworld:The inner world of Hyouzanhebi is sort of unusual. It is made up of the sky and clouds. The clouds are solid and are able to be stood on. Hikaru goes into the inner world many times daily, whenever he naps he usually goes into the inner world and talks with Hyouzanhebi over tea.
Shikai Description:
In its sealed state Hyouzanhebi takes the form of an Odachi. An ôdachi meaning "great big sword", was a type of long Japanese sword. To qualify as a ôdachi, the sword in question must have a blade length over 3 shaku (or 70 cm's). Hikaru wears his sealed zanpakuto either on his back or on his waist. Since it is very long Hikaru has to hold it up while it is on his waist, because of this he prefers to wear it on his back.
Shikai Abilities:
Name-Hyouzanhebi(Iceberg Serpent[ヘビ氷山])
Release Phrase-"Slither over there frozen corpse Hyouzanhebi"or"Wakukoete touketsu shitai Hyouzanhebi"
When initiating shikai Hikaru pronounces the release phrase and swing's his sword diagonally as what look's like ice steam swirls around the sword and around Hikaru. The mist then vanishes revealing his shikai sword. In shikai Hikaru's sword is very different from his sealed sword. It takes the appearance of a jet-black sword with a tsuba (gaurd) that is square and is bent upward on the right. The hilt (handle) has a very intricate design resembling wings.
At shikai Hyouzanhebi grants Hikaru the ability to manipulate ice he can also use the water in the air and atmosphere to make ice. Hikaru can also direct his slashes towards the ground and form a wave of ice which rushes over his opponents, overwhelming and freezing them. Another ability his shikai gives him is Infrared(Thermal)Senses(Snakes have this sense). He can see the heat radiating off of peoples bodies. This is very useful when looking for someone and can also help when finding survivors in a heap of dead bodies. He can also use a type of venom from his sword. Hyouzanhebi has 2 name specific abilities in shikai.Bankai Description:
Senkei Hyouzan Kiretsu(Linear Iceberg Crack[リニアアイスバーグクラック])-In this attack Hikaru uses Hyouzanhebi to freeze a straight line of the ground al the way to the opponent(Note:This attack is fast and depending on how far the opponent is gets to them quickly). Once the ice touches the opponent the enemy is instantly frozen and the ice on the ground freezes the earth right beneath it and shatters. After it shatters a crack is formed where the line was, and the enemy falls into the crack and is refrozen along with the crack. This can help incapacitate enemies without killing them. This attack can only go linear(Straight) hence the name.
Kuroikori no Gaidoku(Black Ice of Poison[毒の黒氷])-This attack takes advantage of the venom Hyouzanhebi can use. Hikaru swings his zanpakutō in a arc which releases venom in the line his sword was swung and the venom freezes and turns into icicle like ice daggers that fly towards the enemy. These icicle daggers are black colored ice and are venomous if they hit there target(Note:Hikaru can do this attack without the venom if he wishes).
Bankai Abilities:
Tsubasa Hyouzanhebi(Winged Iceberg Serpent[翼の氷山ヘビ])
When initiating bankai Hikaru holds his sword out in front of him horizontally and says bankai. Ice then freezes him and his sword. The ice then breaks revealing Hikaru in bankai. While in bankai Hikaru's appearance changes also. Hikaru gains wings made of ice that resemble the wings of his zanpakuto spirit. All over his body a thin layer of ice that takes the form of snake scales covers him. Then, a snake with its mouth open appears on Hikaru's head(his head is in the ice snakes mouth)making it resemble a snake helmet.
While in bankai Hikaru gains more control so much to where he can even easily make a beautiful sculpture without having to use any tool. Hikaru also gains the ability to levitate thanks to his wings. The venom Hikaru uses is now more effective and deadly. He still has the infrared vision, and his reflexes, speed, and strength are greatly improved. He also gets a new type of ability, he calls it Shindou Kankaku(Vibration Sense) this enhances his touch sense to give him the ability to see with vibrations. At bankai Hikaru gains a new ability that is extremely powerful. It is called Sokkenai-ketsuek(Ectotherm,or Cold-Blooded).This allows him to temporarily control the body temperature of his opponent. He doesn’t like to use this ability because he has not fully mastered it and he could accidentally freeze to death everyone in the immediate vicinity. Hebi Hitonomi(Snake Bite[ヘビにかま])-In this attack Hikaru usually uses this when he locks blades with his opponent. After there swords are locked(Clashing)hikaru says the name of the attack and a snake made of ice comes out of his sword and bites the opponent. It has a slight venomous aspect to it. When it bites the opponent he will start to feel numb wherever he was bitten.
Kousetsu no Issen Hebi(Snowing of 1,000 Snake's[1000蛇の雪])-This attack takes time to prepare(5-10 minutes). To initiate this attack Hikaru says the name of the attack and points his sword up towards the sky and snow flakes start to fall. One thousand flakes will fall if one of these flakes touches the opponent a snake made of ice will form out of the flake and will rap itself around the enemy and constrict as hard as it can until the ice snake breaks.

History/Background:
Hikaru was born in the 25th district of the rukongai. He was raised by his dad because his mom died at child birth. His dad was a retired shinigami. He was very close to Hikaru. Hikaru learned many lessons from his father. He entered the shinigami academy at the age of 8. He excelled at kidou and swordsmanship. This was because of his father always helping him and giving him tips and tricks. Even though he never express it he knew that it was his fault his mom was dead. He felt bad and wanted to meet her. He finally asked his dad one day what she was like. He described her as a beautiful loving woman.RP Sample:
They talked about her for hours. His dad then told him not to feel bad for his mother's death and that it wasn’t his fault. Hikaru felt better after talking to his dad he felt better and not as guilty for his mother's death. He began to excel in the shinigami academy. He became one of the top students of his class and loved to practice with his dad at home. He eventually made it to his last year of the shinigami academy. The day he was about to graduate his dad died of a heart attack. Hikaru the fell into a depression and decided not to even attend his own graduation. He was so sad.
The only person of his family left was dead, he had nowhere left to go. In the will his dad said that when he became a member of the gotei 13 he would inherit the house. Where would he go now he was only 14. He knew that it would take up to 1-2 months before he would get a position in the gotei 13. He was informed that his sister would come to live with him until he was old enough to live alone. Hikaru didn’t know that he had a sister. He met her and she told him that she was born 5 years before him but was sent off to a distant family member to be raised because of complications with her fathers job. She also said that there dad was in the middle of a huge shinigami feud and they were killing other peoples family members. Hikaru decided to try and get to know his sister.
Her name was Hikari. She had brown and blonde hair. She was a decent height and she wasn't fat. Hikaru started to like his newly known sister. He decided that his dad had a long life and he died a peaceful man. He learned to cope with his fathers death and started training again to get a good position in the gotei 13. After about 4 months Hikaru learned his shikai and was placed as 4th seat of the first squad. He was great help to his squad and was promoted to 3rd seat in a year.
He was grieved when he found out Yamamoto died. He welcomed Captain Unohana and liked her as he got to know her when he was injured after a fight with a hollow. He then requested to be the new Vice-Captain of the squadron. He hopes that he will get the position so he can help crush all of the evil forces opposing the Soul Society.
Hikaru was walking down the street towards his sisters house. He decided that he would ask her to stay with him even though he’s old enough to live by himself. As he walked up the door step he could hear his sister washing dishes.
Hikaru nodded his head” She never does take a break” he thought. He opened the door and looked at his sister and said " Hey Hikari how did it go today "." It was alright but I’m going to have to be leaving soon back to where I used to live” Hikari responded.
" I was thinking maybe you should stay here with me, I'd love to have you around and it would be fun " Hikaru said in hopes of a yes." ......... "Hikari paused and thought about it." I guess I could stay around you do need someone to look after you " Hikari said as Hikaru ran to his sister and gave her a hug, Hikaru loved his sister and was happy he could get to know her better.
Just then there was an explosion towards the edge of the soul society. Hikaru looked at his sister and she nodded he left the house. He started running towards the noise. More shinigami did the same. When they got there it was a gigantic hollow in the outskirts of the Rukongai.
Hikaru unsheathed his zanpakuto. Many other shinigami did the same. Hikaru ran up to the hollow and got swatted away like a fly. The other shinigami managed to keep the hollow busy. Hikaru sheathed his sword and raised his hand at the hollow and said " Hadou No.63 Raikoho " a massive wave of yellow energy was fired at the hollow and it was instantly obliterated. Hikaru lowered his hand down and went to see Commander Unohana.
