Hayashi had never liked kido, he saw it in a similar manner as Kenpachi. The problem was he wasn't nearly as strong as Kenpachi yet. The ropes wrapped around his arms. As Kaito's sword came down Hayashi kicked up catching Kaito's forearm, stopping the slash. Kaito's foot caught Hayashi in his bottom ribs, he could feel one snap. The chains held him up, keeping the kick from sending him to the floor.
"Damn this Kido bullshit!" Hayashi was angry. He began struggling against the ropes, letting out a loud roar before they shattered. Hayashi regained his composure and went on the offensive. He let out 4 wild swings, uppercut, right-downward cross slash, left horizontal cross and another uppercut.

Kaito jumped back dodging the first uppercut, swinging his blade he clashes with the downward slash shifting his footing and swinging the bade around to block the horizontal slash, jumping back he tries to dodge the uppercut only to have it nick his chin sending him flying back, hitting the ground with a roll Kaito stands his head and jaw throbbing from the blow. Kaito then charges forward shunpoing at the last second leaving an after image, he appears behind Hayashi and slashes three times once horizontally from left to right, once straight down at Hayashi's shoulder, and the the final one dropping low and sweeping at the legs.

Hayashi was caught off guard by the sudden shunpo. As he turned the first slash glided across chest leaving a gash across his chest that while painful, wasn't life threatening. He lifted his sword to block the downward slash and then as the blade came towards his thighs he shunpo'd behind Kaito and slashed downward from kaito's left shoulder to his right hip.

Kaito driving forward felt a sharp pain run along his back as Hayashi's blade hit his back around the upper shoulder blade digging to about mid back before Kaito rolls away, spinning around he centers himself charging towards Hayashi while muttering "Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south!. Hado 31: Shakkahō", flinging his hand up and firing the charged bolt of red energy amplified because he used the chant. Kaito charges in directly after the blast slicing with two downwards criss-crossing strikes creating an X pattern centered on Hayashi's abdomen.

Hayashi was unfamiliar with kido chants so he was confused by Kaito's chant. "Poetry in the middle of a battle?" Hayashi charged towards Kaito and was about to slash him with his zanpakuto when the red energy exploded against his chest sending him flying in the wall. Just as he got to his feet Kaito was already in his face about to slash his stomach. Hayashi felt a sharp pain in his stomach as the first slash cut across his abdomen. He raised his sword just in time to deflect the second attack. The battle was heating up, and Hayashi was getting excited. "Lets pick up the pace a little." Hayashi grinned wildly and shouted "Grow Your Claws Metotush Kamui!" His zanpakuto morphed into large ninja claws on his hands. They were connected by a black chain and had 5 blades on each hand.
Hayashi jumped forward clawing wildly with his new weapons. There was a clear increase in Hayashi's strength after he released his shikai. His face grew wild, perfectly matching his attacks.

Kaito was caught off guard by the relentless attack after the release back pedaling away he moved sword back and forth trying to stop the frenzy of swipes, several swipes got through slashing across his chest and leaving bloody gashes through his robe. Springing back Kaito called out "Rise from the ashes, Drazzel" Kaito's sword glows and elongates reshaping as a Gaun Dao, the long spear like weapon with a blade affixed to the end sprouted out, using the extended reach of his spear he pushes forward sending a flurry of short jabs towards Hayashi attacking in a variety of spots along the body, between the neck and groin.
(note: never attacking the groin cause thats just wrong)

Hayashi continued to push the pace. He parried a majority of the jabs allowing a few to sink into his flesh. One hit his shoulder while another went into his side. The grin on his face didn't fade and he seemed unaffected by the jabs that hit even though they were deep. Hayashi uttered "Maul" and unleashed a devastating swipe with his right hand. Reiatsu became concentrated in the right claw as it crashed down on Kaito with phenomenal force.

Kaito barely managed to raise his Gaun Dao in time the blow slamming into the pole between his hands the momentum transferring through sending him flying back into the wall, he'd have to be careful of that one. Kaito stood from the rubble and shunpo'd to Hayashi's right slashing with the Gaun Dao again using the length of the spear to keep his distance, spinning the weapon after the attack he began another swipe before shunpoing again to Hayashi's left swinging his spear and then jabbing three times.

Hayashi turned and deflected the first attack. He then went to block the second incoming attack when Kaito shunpo'd behind him. He felt the tip of the spear run down his back, opening up a light cut. Hayashi turned around and caught the jab with his chain, wrapping it around the shaft of the spear. He pulled on his chain causing Kaito to be pulled towards him and then knee him in the stomach using the momentum of Kaito being pulled towards him to increase the damage of the knee.

Kaito feels the knee ram down into his stomach knocking the air out of him, placing his palm on Hayashi's chest he calls out between staggered breath "Hado 1: Sho" a force pushing at Hayashi flies out of Kaito's hand. Using the distance Kaito quickly catches his breath charging forward he jabs twice swinging his weapon around in a slash on contact he snaps his right leg up to hit Hayashi in the solar plexus. Pushing off from the kick he settles out on the floor spinning his weapon as he lands in a defensive position "Ha ha ha this is fun", Kaito says in his normal semi-melancholy voice a smile on his lips as he pants sweating.
