With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Daigoro grinned as he sat in the Dojo, waiting. He had been looking forward to this fight for a while now, so he was real pumped to be able to do it. He checked over Kiba Ookami, making sure that he was free of any nicks or scratches, and then to make sure his barrier was working properly If any of these guys use kido or otherwise, I should be OK.
Daigoro got up off of his seated position, flipped Kiba Ookami over in his right hand, made a few strikes with that hand, swapped hands, and made sure his other was going good as well. Thank god I'm ambidextrous. It had helped him out of a few multi-enemy fights before. Let's do this... Daigoro thought to himself as he turned towards the dorr, waiting for his first opponent...
The door shifted open in and abrupt motion as the first challlenger walked in slowly. It was Lucia Isaksen, fraccio of the Primera Espada. She was sent here simply to kill of a few warriors for training, though she wasn't exactly sure who'd she be fighting. She gazed around the empty room with her icy blue eyes. Her gaze finally rested on a lone shinigami who was already staring at her. "I will be your opponent" she said in a cold and emotionless voice. She had no time to chat or play around, after all, she was best known for finishing her fights as quickly as possible. She waited for the shinigami to reply, or better yet, strike at her.
Baaird walked to the dojo an eager smile on his face as he made his way through the halls, it had been a while since he had fought many opponents and he was excited. He slunk quietly into the room, stepping out of the shadows of one of the corners he smiles, his eyes glowing with a crazed glean he begins a slow and steady clap walking towards the pair.
"Bravo, bravo I applaud your dedication to fate, a cruel but wonderful mistress he has gladly thrown us together for the most joyous of occasions, combat. Now let the game begin"
Baaird smiles as he draws his Zanapakuto all the while scrutinizing his opponents scanning for anything that might help him in the battle, after all a warriors greatest weapons are his mind and the guiding hand of fate.
Daigoro brought his zanpakuto up in front of his face, wielding it like a dagger, his usual style of fighting. If nobody else will... First move is mine! Daigoro flash-stepped behind the Arrancar, preparing to strike. But, just before he hit her, he touched ground and flew towards Baaird. Think fast! Daigoro thought, and hit the back of Baairds head with the hilt of his sword.
Baaird watches as Daigoro disappears, hearing as Daigoro's feet hit the dojo ground, Baaird ducks to dodge the hilt of the blade spinning as he ducks he slices his blade towards Daigoro's stomach, then he dives away laughing as pop's to his feet. He then shunpo's to Lucia's right bringing his blade in a down ward diagonal back to front slice. Baaird smiles as the cold dark voice of his Zanpakuto growls into his mind.
"Beautiful, eloquent, bloody.... I love it, The great game has begun again, revel in the sweet dark embrace of fate. Now my agent of fate, show them your wrath, your anger, your furry... Offer their lives as a sacrifice to the wheels of time and mortality".
As Baaird slashed his blade torward Lucia, she performed her counter-attack. She quickly dodged the initial strikes swiftly and then caught Baaird's blade with her gloved hand. "Foolish" she muttered under her breath. "To attack both opponents and leave yourself so exposed". She quickly jabbed at Baaird's heart with her empty hand, attempting to peirce his body and end his life as quickly as possible. Lucia was a swift and deadly martial artist. She was widely known for her hand to hand combat techniques and killing ability. She never played with her opponents the way other arrancar would.
Daigoro flash-stepped over towards the two, and caught the Arrancar's hand, just before it hit Baaird's heart. "Nice try, but no killing here," Daigoro said to her, "Unless you want me to release, and then it'll get messy..." Daigoro hit the Arrancar's hand out of the way, separating her and Baaird, and pushing her back a metre or two. "Do we understand each other? If you try to kill either of us, I WILL kill you..."
Baaird smiled ripping his weapon away from the Arrancar his free hand easing off the dagger hidden on his belt. He then charges forward with a horizontal slash trying to hit both opponents at the same time. After the slice he flies back pointing two fingers towards the pair he calls out one of the three kido spells he actually know, "Hado four: Byakurai", the lightening surging out of his fingers towards Lucia's face.
"I thank you for your help my friend, but fate wouldn't let me die she needs me"
Lucia quickly shifted her body to the side, trying to avoid the kido spell just fired at her. The lighting singed her hair, but she was luckily unhurt. As she went back into her fighting stance, she heard the man say something strange. In fact, both of them had said very strange things during the battle.
"I..need you?" she questioned, with a puzzled look breaking her cold expression. "I do not understand. Shouldn't one be prepared to lose their life in battle? Is that not the purpose for such things?" Lucia questioned intently. It was as if these two were challanging her own beleifs and purpose.
Daigoro grinned. "Trust me. This is no battle. In fact, this is more like a simple sparring match, with a cost..." Daigoro flipped his foot-long zanpakuto over in his right hand, wielding it like a dagger, and went directly for Lucia's face. He knew that she would block this, he just hoped she had a Cero coming from somewhere. Easiest way to strike fear into an opponent. Block one of their more powerful attacks.
As Lucia blocked his direct attack. Daigoro grinned and began to taunt her. "Why haven't you fired anything yet? You're an Arrancar, aren't you? Or do you think that we are so weak that you can kill us with ease?" Daigoro jumped back, and landed next to Baaird. He may attack me, but he will be easier to block than her...
