With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
((OOC Sorry ive been gone, but im gonna continue and act as if Nini isnt here cause she hasnt posted here in like a week so now its two on one unless she jumps back in))
Shu eyed Nini as she moved back looking as if she did not want part of the training. That was fine but Shu would have to change his game plan. Genji was no doubt filling Ryu in on his abilities. That was okay, Shu still had some tricks that neither of them knew. Shu slid himself away from Nini, creeping his hand closer to his zanpakuto. Surprise would be important now, he would only have a few moments before the two of them realized Nini wasnt in the fight. Shu's mind raced, figuring out angles and forming a strategy as he inched forward. The noise in his head was loud, a mixture of thoughts and his own breathing, there was no more time, it was the moment.
Shu ran forwad unsheathing his zanpakuto, holding it in his left hand with the blade downward. He shunpod dircetly at Ryu and Genji appearing in front of them making a diagonal slash to hit both of them. This move would be easily dodged but would cause the two of them to jump in different directions....hopefully. Shu reacted quickly, he had to figure out Ryu's abilities, and fast. Jumping after Ryu he started a bladed assault his blade making an upward, downward and horziontal slash at Ryu.
Ryu listened to Genji as he explained Shu's abilities. The only thing he really told Ryu was Shu is proficient in Kidou. Smiling gently to himself Ryu thinks "Good, maybe he'll offer a challenge". Something caught his eye, Shu and Nini stopped talking, and she was walking away. Wait, no... she couldn't be backing out. Ryu needed to rethink his strategy. Was it one on two now? or a free for all?
As Shu charges toward Ryu and Genji, Ryu quickly reaches for his Zanpakuto.
CLANG!
Shu's horizontal slash was blocked by Ryu's now revealed blade, which is facing downward in a reverse grip. Placing a hand on the blunt edge of his sword Ryu pushes hard, sliding his opponent away. Shu then dashes toward Ryu, slashing upward, downward, horizontal, but Ryu manages to parry each slice. Dodging backwards Ryu would attempt to go on the offensive. Slashing horizontally, then turning his blade back to face Shu, slashing vertically. Flash Stepping to the right Ryu would attack Shu with 5 quick strikes, attempting to disarm him.
Once Shu was close enough Ryu would point two fingers toward him and announce "Number 4: Byakurai!", unleashing a powerful torrent of electricity at Shu.
Ryu seemed with ease to parry Shu's strikes. So he must be good at zanjutsu. Shu stopped just as Ryu went on the offensive. Shu was pushed back a couple of steps, but he could easily block all of these attacks. Ryu seemed to use the same style of swordsmanship as him, the downward blade and reverse grip. Shu smiled, now here would be his chance to see a difference.
As Ryu shunpod to the right Shu made a decisive decision, while dangerous he would get in close. Parrying the first strike Shu got in close, personally close then unloaded a kick to Ryu's side as he blocked Ryu's next strike. Shu was absorbed in the strikes and had momentarily forgotten about Genji.
(ooc: I think Genji forgot he was in this thread, lol)
Ryu was surprised by the kick to his side, not expecting Shu to react so quickly. Quickly jumping away from Shu, Ryu smiles.
"Nice kick, I'm sure I'll feel that in the morning" Ryu jokes. His eyes then furrow "but now I think I should get serious" he says, switching his Zanpakuto in his hand, so the blade is held normally. Ryu begins to raise his reiatsu, as he does so small bolts of electricity spark around his body and the ground begins to crack around his feet.
Ryu wanted to see how Shu would react. Watching for any trace movements he may make. Ryu was getting more excited. Hopefully Shu would provide him with the challenge he wanted.
"Shu, I hear you are familiar with Kidou. Tell me, whats the highest spell you have learned" Ryu inquires. He wanted to show off one of the abilities he had recently learned. "I find it pretty fun to combine high level and low level kidou into new combinations. Mixes the battle up a bit. Let me show you one of my favorites" Ryu says, pointing his left hand to Shu open palmed and his right hand below it, two fingers pointed, his sword held horizontally across his body, the blade facing left, held by his thumb and outer 2 fingers in his right hand.
"Number 58, Number 4: Tenran, Byakurai!" Ryu announces. As he does so, an enormous burst of wind erupts from his hands, twisting into the the shape of a tornado. From his right hand a bolt of white and blue lightning fires from his finger tips. The lightning curves around the sides of the tornado blast, connecting arcs of lightning in the center of the twister. As the two Spells combine the tornado flashes brightly white and blue, electricity erupting from it, it's only target being Shu.
Shu smiles at Ryu's kidou. It is inventive, if a little misplaced. Shu stares at the spells mingled and came towards him. His response never changed, as he simply held up his hand energy forming into it was yellow and the immense amount of energy was indicative of a large kidou spell.
<<Hado 63 Raikoho>> Shu said calmly as the tremendous amount of yellow energy was shot at Ryu's spell. The two spells offset and Shu stood there with a smile.
<<So does that answer you question?>> Shu was satisfied his demonstration and was getting back into his stance. He ran towards Ryu intent on showing his own Kidou spells. Shu come in close and crosses swords with Ryu. <<Hado 11 Tsuzuri Raiden>> As he said this Shu put his hand on his sword and electricity flowed from his hand through his sword into Ryu's and sent the electic current through him.
Ryu smiles as both of his Kidou is dispelled by Shu's. This would be interesting indeed. His opponent gets back into position, then charged Ryu. Crossing swords he announces his Hado, which then sends an electric shock flowing from Shu to Ryu. Just what he was waiting for. Ryu smiles as the electricity hits him. It was a warm and familiar feeling. Not missing a beat Ryu pushed Shu backwords then points a hand forward.
"Number 61: Rikujōkōrō" Ryu announces, then six thin, wide beams of light that slam into a Shu's midsection, holding him in place.
"Don't try to move, that spell will make sure no part of your body can move" Ryu tells Shu. "Now, let me explain why your Tsuzuri Raiden didn't work. You see, my element is Lightning, my Reiatsu naturally allows me to absorb electricity, then channel it into my own Reiatsu. I don't know if you were holding back or not, but that electricity was a nice little recharge after that big attack I made" Ryu states, stepping back a little. He then points his hand forward. "Here's another favorite of mine"
"Number 54: Haien" He exclaims, a large purple energy ball blasting out of his hand, heading straight for Shu.
Shu stays calm thinking clearly about his next form of an attack, He cannot move but he can speak. His mind flutterly briefly to his life, and then he snaps back to reality. He calmly says <<Bakudo 39 Enkosen>> A shield of condensed reiatsu forms in front of Shu and is disolved by Ryu's Haien. Shu is still incapacitated as he tries to free himself.

*as the action unfolded infront of him and he was annoyed that he wasn't added into their lil thing so he was about to jump in when he saw a ghostly figure approach him from behind but when he blink to make sure he was seeing right when he appeared in a different place he was standing on a pure white citidel and a dark montionless city below and he wondered where he was but decided uit was a bad idea to ask and as the ghostly figure started to walk to he he turn to look at her but was shocked she was wearing a pale white dress made of bone and gloves with claws on them and 2 inch high heeled boots and the heel was made of bones as well genji deciding to ask where he was started to speak but the words would never come out as she started to speak "well well well my boy haven't we gotten taller but you know you are weak when in the human world you couldn't fight you were to weak so you had to stay back i had to give you that side of you, you keep a secret but no matter and no worries i want to make you stronger but if you refuse i will have to make drastic measures well you want to be stronger or not" but be fore genji could nod he was back with ryu and shu in the court yard standing there doing nothing "what just happened to me" as he took out his zanpukato and chrgeded for the tied shu*
*as genji shunpoed behind him not to alert ryu as to where he was as he muttered to shu "please be quite for the time being i will stay here until i get the chance to fight k" then genji lifted his left hand over shu's left shoulder then poits two fingers in ryu direction hado 4 Byakurai as the bolt shot towards ryu gneji shunpoed infront of shu then slahing the ground in the cross shape creating dust then genji started runningthen slasheing the ground again making more dust then genji shunpoed behind ryu then jumped off his back twsiting in the air to ryu's shock of the sudden arrival of genji then genji hado 31 shakkahou to wards ryu waiting for some kind of hit*.
Ryu smiles as Shu manages to erect a barrier and block his attack. This was a good match so far, both of them were advanced in kidou, and their swordsmanship seemed balanced. He smiled to himself. Luckily for himself, Ryu still had some more tricks up his sleeve. Shu struggled with his Bakudo, leaving an opening for Ryu to attack. Pulling his Zanpakuto upward, Ryu turns it so the blunt edge is facing Shu. He wouldn't hit him with the blade, that's too much. As he was about to dash forward, suddenly he noticed Genji flash step behind Shu, say something, then blast a Byakurai from over his shoulder.
"No you don't, not with my favorite attack" Ryu says, pushing his hand forward. The electrical attack slams into his hand, electricity surging through Ryu's body, replenishing his Reiatsu. Ryu winces though, and looks down at his hand. The palm is burnt a bit. "Guess that attack still has too much energy to fully absorb" Ryu says quietly. Suddenly Genji vanishes again, dust in his place covering Shu. Ryu turns to see Genji fire a Shakkado him. Ryu braces himself for the impact, taking the explosion the follows. As the dust from the blast clears Ryu searches for Genji's Reiatsu. Once he had found it, he would Flash step toward him and attack with a flurry of slashes from his blade. Vertical, horizontal to the right, then to the left, vertical again, then a quick spin ending with a stab. Each attack using the blunt edge of his sword. After this series of attacks Ryu would then get in close and push two fingers against Genji's chest.
"Here's a real Number 4: Byakurai" Ryu says, blasting the bolt of lightning into Genji's chest. This attack would hopefully push Genji far enough backwards for Ryu to jump far enough away to have both Shu and Genji within his area of site.
Shu blinked in surprise at Genji's interupption. He had completely forgotten that he was a part of this training session. The dust around Shu settled and he managed to free himself from this bakudo he was trapped in. With a grin Shu shunpod in the direction of the two other fighters. Shu kept his distance wondering what side Genji was on. Shu didnt want to do anything rash so he took a step back evaluating the action. The intense fighting had ruined the courtyard, stones and bricks lay overturned everywhere. Trees were uprooted and lay strewn around the yard as well. Shu continued to contemplate the action then acted. Shu reset his grip on his zanpakuto then shunpod in Ryu's direction. appearing to his left he made a slash then took his right arm aiming a right hook at Ryu's face.
