With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Tenshoku could just tell that this was the long lost brother that he craved for even as a child. The way he acted, the way he looked... almost a mirror image of the day Tenshoku remembered him being born. Either this, or Tenshoku was just going a bit crazy. Either way, he liked the feeling of it. Whatever it was. This man would either make a great younger brother, a great friend, or neither, in Tenshoku's view. Momentarily, he cared a hell of a lot. Tenshoku's face remained the same, fantacizing about his first fight with another vaizard. He was not expecting this man today, so he was a bit unprepared, but that wasn't the point. That wasn't the point at all.
"Good, follow me then," Tenshoku said, releasing his hands from the table and quickly walking to the exit, the same glimmering look in his eye. Surprisingly, they turned purple-ish pink when he got excited, just like when he was born. As Tenshoku walked out of the vaizard lounge, he noticed some people getting a bit stirred up. Was it because he had knocked the chess pieces over with his back-hand? Tenshoku almost completely forgot about that, for he was caught up in the commotion.
Tenshoku pushed open the double doors and walked into the dirt-grounded back-yard of the vaizard headquarters. As he walked to the edge of it, nearing the outside wall of the vaizard building, he threw his black over-coat off, revealing his blue long-sleeve T-shirt and dark-black jeans. Tenshoku turned around, seeing what he was sure to be his brother. Tenshoku put his left hand across the hilt of his blade, and awaited his brothers appearence. What was once a smile with curled lips, had turned into a large smirk that showed tenshoku's teeth. He was even more excited then when he was assigned vice captain of the 1st division.
"Since I got to make the first move in chess, how about you move first here? It's only fair..."
Sanmaru followed him, ignoring everyone else. He only kept his eyes on Tenshoku's back, as he followed him. By the way they were walking, he figured that Tenshoku was leading him to the outside. Where the sun was, something that L didn't like. He always prefered the moon than the sun. The moon was relaxing, calm, and soothing. The sun, on the other hand, was hot, violent, and dangerous.
Reaching the outside, he stood. His posture was no where near a fighting stance, well... Not for anyone else that was. He unsheathed his sword, holding it in his right hand. "I unsheathed my zanpaktou... That was my first move. It's your turn now." It seemed that he wanted Tenshoku to make the first actuall, striking move. He stood there, waiting.
L unsheathed his sword, and barely got into a fighting stance. People who made no sense of people's style and personality, may have thought that L was stupid to let Tenshoku make the first move. They may have thought he was stupid, to not even get in an effective fighting position as well. Tenshoku however, knew different. He could tell L's amount of genius just by the short chess match they shared. The way he seemed to contemplate quick moves, and then putting them into effect, made Tenshoku know that this man was most likely smarter then he was. Tenshoku smirked over at the man he thought was his long lost brother, and looked down at his blade.
His left hand being on the hilt, he flipped his blade out of his sheath at a normal place, letting the tip of it face L. He stood there for a while, a few seconds time, before he began his assault. He twisted both of his feet to the left, before jumping high into the air, and forward at L. The twisting motion he had made allowed him to spin a 540 degree angle before making it to his opponent. With all this momentum he was creating, he would swing quite well onto his opponent, even knocking back a thrust made at him. Although it was quite quick and unexpected, it was a possible move to dodge, which is why Tenshoku readied himself for a counter-attack from his supposed brother.
L watched Tenshoku jump up into the air, heading towards him. In the position Tenshoku was in, he was open for an attack. If he were fighting two opponents at once, one of them would be able to land a fatal blow to him while the other kept him distracted. Luckily, he wasn't fighting two opponents, only one. That is, if you exclude the inner hollow that they both have within them. As he came flying towards him, L stood his ground. He was waiting for Tenshoku to get a tiny bit closer. The reason for that was because if L moved out of the way now, Tenshoku could easily change his swords direction and L would still be harms way. If he waited for him to get closer, he could dodge it and attack, which was the wisest choice of the two.
Once Tenshoku was about to hit L, he moved to the left, barely out of harms way. He grabbed his zanpaktou tightly, with his right hand. Once Tenshoku landed, L swung his sword towards Tenshoku, horizontally. He knew what Tenshoku was going to do, he was going to stop L's sword with his own, leaving his back open. As he sung his sword, L used his left leg to aim a kick to Tenshoku's back.
As Tenshoku faced L's position, he could see the calmness about his face. He could tell before-hand that this would be dodged, probably with a better counter attack then he had expected. Tenshoku could see the quickness of the evasion just before he hit the ground. He knew what would happen, or atleast, he thought he did. L would dodge, making a slash at Tenshoku, then Tenshoku would parry it, go in for an attack, L would parry it, go in for an attack, blah blah blah. Tenshou had to do something, for he wanted this battle to go somewhere, and it wouldn't ever end if they kept exchanging blades. Tenshoku knew exactly what to do. As he fell to the floor, he muttered the words:
"Crystallize, Dimnetta"
As his feet hit the floor, his blade shattererd and fell off all over the floor. Then, Tenshoku's large bank of spirtual energy began flow out from tenshoku's body, negating any attempts at attacking from L. A densed amount of Reaitsu flew from the base of the hilt, and four large diamond crystals grew out diagnolly from the hilt of his zanpaktou. From those three diamond crystals, three more grew. From those three, two grew. From those two, a diamond tip of the zanpaktou was made. This was an extremely effective zanpaktou, because of the fact that diamond was the sharpest material, not to mention the hardest, in the world. With enough force, Tenshoku could cut through mostly anything he wanted, and fend against most powerful attacks.
While Tenshoku had the chance, he did a quick back step, while still facing L. As he jumped backwards, he lifted his blade up, a heavy weight, but something he got used to. He slid the blade into place with his left hand, pointing it at L with ease. As he flew back, he focused a sharp amount of reaitsu into his blade, forcing one of the large diamond shards to come loose at high speeds. It flew at a speed that Tenshoku was sure that even his opponent wouldn't be able to dodge. By the time it hit L, or hit the building behind him, Tenshoku wouldn't even have landed from his small backwards jump. It would be a hard one to dodge, but it was aimed at the upper thigh, so it wasn't fatal. He couldn't kill his potential brother. From now on, he would never allow him to die.
Being pushed away by Tenshoku's reaitsu, L landed on his two feet. He stood up straight, watching Tenshoku. He looked up, seeing Tenshoku jump back and point his zanpaktou towards L. As it fired the diamond projectile towards him. L tried to dodge it by moving the targeted area out of the way. He succeded, but the diamond managed to barely scar him. It wasn't serious, so it wouldn't effect his movement in battle. Releasing your zanpaktou so early? You must not like to fool around. L thought, analyzing Tenshoku's shikai. Diamond, one of the hardest materials on Earth. I won't be able able to cut through any of his attacks and blocking them would surely fail, aswell. But, having to carry such a heavy weapon has to slow him down. I'll beat him in speed... "Tranquil the universe with your everlasting wind, Sanmaru." L said, in a calm, quiet manner.
L's zanpaktou began to disperse into spirtual particles. The particles quickly began to gather on his hands, taking the form of black skin tight gloves. The moment L's shikai formed, it released a large amount of reaitsu. His reaitsu, however, took on the form of wind. It caused a strong, sudden gust of wind to go throughout the battle field. "You know, it's been awhile since someone's made me use my shikai." He stated, as the gust began to calm down.
