With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
To be at peace. It was a rather delicate word, it was indeed. "To be at peace". But alas, she certainly was at 'peace', no doubt. Especially as the swift breeze, gentle, yet just harsh enough to carry her white strands, washed through the endless trail of the field. Although not endless, since even from her position, with the tilt of her head, she was sure that she would be able to catch a glimpse of civilization in the distance. Although personally, she could lay there now and forever, in the field that was.
Hovering above her was the famed cherry blossom trees. A rather popular spot it was, under sakura trees. Weather it was for sharing drinks of sake or simply for "sakura viewing". But she was not one for the crowds that such a location would gather. Hence, raising and shining bright and early in the morning was more 'her style'. Which now brings us to the current setting. Looming above her, at least, as far as she could see, were the thick branches that supported the light and delicate pink petals, as well as the occasional patch of blue sky. And at her finger tips and at her back, the lush Green of grass, tickling at her pale cheeks under the thin morning dew. It did give a light musky scent, from the morning dew of course, but it only gave a touch to the moment. Utter silence, a wide open sky, and a field of sakura.
Yukino laid there, still as a log to any passing shinigami, but that was the distance of civilization, and not the sakura field. She was rather confident in the fact that no crowds would swarm through the streets of seireitei until the morning officially broke. Certainly for her, it was fresh in the morning, before morning, dusk, if anything. A hint of darkness still clung to the sky, so rather, it was less blue then it was pink and purple. All the better. At her side was her zanpaktou, the sheath glinting under the shallow beams of light that managed to mingle through the branches and petals. Her pale eyes were closed, lightly anywho, as if in a light sleep.
A twitch here and a twitch there, but all the same, it was the still unmoving silence of the field that kept the scents of essence. Despite the scenery, a firm expression of utter indifferent still rested on her face. Although she had to admit, the ropes of rules were loosened under such situations, and if anything, she looked like a simple sleeping girl, white hairs, blue eyed, and laying back first in the still slightly wet grass. Fun, fun. Both arms were sucked behind her head as a light cushion against the pricking grass, to fend it from lacing with her white strands. To be at peace, hmm? Of course, she was at peace.

Soifon had walked out to the garden area that adorned every squad's barracks to have a look at who else was there. Many people came to reflect on things, and who tended to be a surprise more oft than not.
She spotted Yukino out in the grass and simply watched her from the railing that bordered the walkway and the garden. She was curious over her, and had no idea what she was like other than the fact she'd never tell unless ordered to since she was among the poorly skilled at being social. How large of a challenge would it be to change that?
She certainly needed to get this woman into more duties as she was a Vice Captain... She thought over her plan of action while she watched Yukino casually. Maybe she wouldn't have to disturb her Vice captain?
Eh, she could never know for sure. The blasted fact that she was still new to socializing made this awkward as hell.
Yukino sighed when she felt Soifons presence. Was peace over already? It seemed to be. Yukino got up, using her zanpakutou support. She bowed to Soifon, sadly. This was the only time Yukino wasn't a robot, but her shinigami duties quickly got in the way of peace. " Ohiyo Gozaimas, Soifon Taichou. " Yukino said, trying to keep a poker face to keep her sadness from showing. Yukino didn't know what to do, she had no common sense wheni t came to be social. Social, was nothing in the world she was living in.
A slight breeze came by, pushing the sakura blossoms that had fallen father away. Yukino blankly stared at her Taichou. She was fairly new to the VC spot, so she didn't know much about Soifon aside the fact that she was her bossy Taichou, otherwise n-o-t-h-i-n-g.

Soifon leapt over the railing, and into the garden then walked over, "I can sense something is bothering you, so spill it," she spoke in a private tone so Yukino could speak without being overheard as she regarded Yukino with that ever hard, serious look in her face. She remembered her previous experiences with Yukino, and felt that she needed to pry it out of the woman some.
So there she stood with her arms crossed lightly as she waited for the reply, but she seemed genuinely interested in this sad woman's problems. Omaeda wasn't here, so she had to pick up the pieces of the squad he left behind.
If she could do something for Yukino, maybe Soifon would feel better about herself, too?
"I can sense something is bothering you, so spill it," Soifon said in her usual demanding tone. Most people were scared of her, Yukino wasn't though. She used to be scared at everything, but as the years flew by an outer shell started to form around her. Now she was like a dull and grey rock, what you saw on the outside, you saw in the inside. " I like being alone, " She said coldy. Soifon had asked Yukino what was wrong with her, and she gave it to her. It was plain and simple. Even though Yukino said it with an emotionless tone, in no way did she suggest Soifon-taichou should leave.
In all honesty, Yukino was a mess. She was representative of the 78th district. Showing that even in the most unlawful places a soul could make it. Physically she did, but mentally she was destroyed a long time ago. In rukongai it started with domestic violence and progressed to betrayal from her only loved one. In the real world, she was always alone. Her parents were always gone, and then on that one dreaded night she was kid napped and her parents were killed. After that she moved with her aunt, along with the rest of her family, but when thoose same people arrived in what seemed to be a peaceful place she too was murdered. This time with the rest of her family.
Even though she didn't remember this, many times she wondered why she was this way. The thinking leaded her to conclusions of her previous life. Her dreaded past made her what she was today. So don't blame her for being anti-social, blame her past. And if she wasn't the way she was now, she'd be a wreck. Still living in rukongai, crying tears of blood when she went to sleep, and killing people for a couple of cents during the day.

Soifon stared blankly at Yukino, clearly not amused, "Elaborate," she said in a calm, but somewhat demanding tone. Of course she wanted to know more. She didn't have tact, and sugar coated words in large supply.
As much as Soifon enjoyed knowing things, there were many things she did not know. She was not the eye of god, omnipotent and all seeing. She could not see into the hearts and minds of many people. She did not know the locations of the critical organs of her underling's troubles. She did not know the direct route to helping them.
So she had to explore, prod, and pry. If she needed to break down barriers, or perhaps, a bone or two, but the latter was reserved for those that annoyed her sufficiently.
This was most assuredly the point of no return. She showed caring for Sayuri, she tried to help Kamair. Now it's her and 1 more person. Another seated officer. Maybe, hopefully, the rest of her squad did not have the sort of baggage the people she helped did. Hopefully there would be trickle down help if there was. Did a person have to be so troubled to be an assassin? Certainly she wasn't so... bothered and problematic? Someone else would have to tell her if she was.
"Nothing more." Yukino said, blankly. Soifon had asked a simple question and Yukino provided her with a simple answer. Yukino wouldn't exactly prefer her Taichou to be intruding in her life, but she just said it in a less hurtful way. Yukino was able to preform her duties as a shinigami, she wasn't crazy, and was pretty talented power-wise, so she didn't need help. Well she did, but Yukino wouldn't dare say it. Yukino would only open up to her friends. To bad she didn't have anything. She viewed Soifon-Taichou as a repected Taichou who was able to preform her duties as one, nothing more and nothing less. She thaught the same thing about everyone else, except for Hitsugaya. But even she had her doubts about him.

Soifon frowned a bit, then reached out calmly to put her hand, lightly, on Yukino's shoulder, "Yukino... talk to me. There's more to this, and you'll feel better getting it out," she said calmly, "I'm not going to blab anything you tell me, " she assured her. And really, i you couldn't trust Soifon with secrets, who could you trust??
While she kept secrets from everyone, she didn't let it affect her like this. She wasn't sure if this would bother Yukino's performance, or not. The real question was, how hard was the depression pushing on her? If she couldn't clear it up it might build and overpower her. Soifon just couldn't afford to lose her VC... not again.
"You have permission to speak freely," she gave it incase Yukino needed it. She had no idea what was pent up in the woman, but she figured she was ready for it. The fact this woman stayed bottled up made her so unpredictable which was dangerous it was squad mates, never mind the captain, that can't make the predictions. She needed to understand her, or decide what to do with a Vice Captain that doesn't even trust her own captain, and officers, and possibly posed a threat.
Yukino was like a robot, she was made from chips and wires that told her what and what not to do. She was the most loyal to anyone above her ranking, and expected everyone below her ranking to be loyal to her. The people with a high ranking controlled her, they could do anything with her, just like a robot. However, she'd kill anyone who betrayed the Gotei, higher ranking or not. Soifon approched Yukino slowly, she didn't like where this was going. It's like Soifon was giving Yukino a command, but she wasn't able to follow it. Gently, Soifon placed her hand on Yukino's shoulder. "Yukino... talk to me. There's more to this, and you'll feel better getting it out." What was Soifon talking about? Get what out? It was really bothering her that Yukino wasn't able to fufill an order, she felt like she would let Soifon down if she weren't going to get it out. It's not like she was keeping a secret, she was just refusing to tell her past. She was afraid that if she did she'd grow weak. Yukino would cry evertime a touchy subject would be braught up, or have thaughts of suicide when thinking of the passed.
" I don't comprehend your words. " Yukino said, bothered. If Soifon wanted anything from Yukino then she'd have to really break it down. Because in all honesty Yukino was naive, confused, and lost. She hadn't a clue on were to begin if she were to spill it out so the chances of Yukino actually let out her feelings were unlikely. Even though she was trying her best to satisfy Soifon-taichou, she had no basic knowledge on feelings. She would literally need a text book on all things human to actually comprehend Soifon. Otherwise the more she'd ask, the more Yukino would become confused.

Soifon stared blankly at Yukino across the brief distance between them. Perhaps she were annoyed, perhaps she just couldn't believe this woman, or maybe there was another reason. "I want to understand what makes you who you are. Why you're sad now, why you dislike speaking with people, why it is that that you're in such an anti-social shell," she said seriously, and sincerely. It wasn't obligation that had her say these things, it was that she wanted to know, and understand this woman. Did she actually care for Yukino's health, and well being? Of course she did!
"Please do your best to help me understand you," she said with only mild trouble. Candy coating her words was a hassle, or at least she wanted people to believe that so she could maintain her bitchy reputation.
She removed her hand from Yukino, and stood by her like any good captain should, literally, and figuratively.
