With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
"What are you doing? He's not dead. He can just see supernatural entities." Wow, why was he touching her, she was a very care-free, but when people touch her she lost it. She elwbowed him in the nose and pushed him down.
She then smiled at the human, and agreed with what Ryu said. "Are there any other questions, Joe?" She used her kindest voice, despite what she had just did.
Joe couldn't fathom what he was hearing. Hollows, Shinigami...? "Shinigami...? I've heard that term before. In Middle School." He rubs his head to relax the annoying ache away, then he looks over towards Ryu. "Are you two going to kill me if I tell you that I've seen those... 'Hollows' before...?

An elbow suddenly caught Ryu's face, sending him hopping backwards on one foot in an almost comical fashion. He then flings his other foot downward, steadying himself of the ground. Rubbing his now red nose Ryu looks toward his assailant.
"Ow! Completely unnecessary!" Ryu exclaims. He then turns his attention to the human, who had just asked him if they were going to kill him. Ryu shakes and begins to speak.
"No, we aren't going to kill you. We are not allowed to kill humans, and even if we could, there is no reason to kill you." Ryu explains.
Joe takes a deep breathe, then blows out through his nose. "Okay. Yes, I have seen a lot of those creatures around. But they normally don't come to populated places like this."
"Hey, Joe!" The supervisor calls out from the ground, freezing the human to his very bones. "Who the hell are you talking to up there?"
"Uhh..." They really couldn't see the two people in the truck right next to them, could they? Maybe he was going crazy... No, that damn hit in the head was real.
"Maybe the heat's gettin' to 'em, chief."
"Y-yeah! It's all this hot air. My brain's baking underneath my helmet, and you know how I am when I don't get my morning coffee! Hahahaha..."
"Well... Yeah, you do start acting not yourself, and I can't have you bussing wholes in the place. Go take a break or somethin'. Get some damn coffee in your system, Joe, but we'll need you back here in thirty, got it!"
"Yes, sir! I'm sure I'll be alright after the break. That's why you're the supervisor, and I'm just the subordinate! Well I'll be taking my break now, right over there behind the garage, okay? I'll be back in a bit!" Joe, trying to fight back the feeling of impending doom, slides out of the machine and starts stiffly walking towards the garage, hoping that nobody would notice the Shinigami, but once he feels he is out of view from his co-workers, he leans against the metal garage door and slides to the dirt in pure mental exhaustion. "Please... if there is a higher power, just kill me now."

She looked at the man's face to see of he was serious, and he was. She thought about that for a few seconds, hinking who'd want to die. Death isn't really all that it's wrapped up to be, she would know. So would Ryu since he was a shinigami as well, and had to have died to become a shinigami.
"Don't think like that, Death is irreversable, and once it happens you might regret it for the rest of your life."
She spoke each word calmly, and quietly, then her voice was directed at Ryu.
"That's what you get for touching me pervy-boy!" She said, pointing her finger at him, like a dagger.
"Pervy-boy my ass!" Ryu exclaims as he follows the man and Matsuri to their new destination. The garage complex was a few feet ahead, and the interruption that the man's boss had provided forced the three of them to move. "I was lowering your weapon so your new friend here didn't think you were gonna kill him" Ryu explains to her. Once they reached the garage the man begins to speak. He asks the two of them to kill him if there is a higher power.
Neither of them could kill him. Not only was it against the rules, but this man had no idea what was beyond this world. Ryu knew it was frowned upon in the Soul Society, but he had to tell the man about the Society itself. Maybe the word of someone who had come from the streets would help him out.
"You don't want to die, Matsuri is right, trust me. I don't know about her experiences, but do you know what waits for you in the world beyond? It is a world called the Soul Society. That is where all non-evil Souls go when they die. But it's far from the paradise your would makes it out to be. It resembles Ancient Japan, and you well more than likely end up in one of the many poverty filled sectors, just like 60% of the souls that go there. I don't know what sort of life you live here, but take the word of someone who has grown up in that area. It's not a good way to spend the afterlife." Ryu states, looking directly into the man's eyes.
Joe just drops his head into his hands and sighs out. "Sorry if I brought up any sore spots, I'm just a little shocked to actually be talking to two... Shinigami with swords. It's like a crazy movie. Okay... you probably want me to tell you where I've been seeing all of those creepy black things you guys call Hollows, right?"
It wasn't rare for Joe to notice Hollows. In fact, he would see at least two or three everyday, and they all came from the same place. They never really bothered him though, so he didn't think much of it until that day when he saw one actually kill somebody. That was the day he realized they were 100% real and dangerous. Perhaps telling the Shinigami where they could find more would be a good thing.

After hearing this Matsuri stood upright and was shocked. More than one what was this a hollow conspiracy, why hadn't they felt the hollow's reiatsu before then. She then proceeded to sigh and walk over to him.
"Go ahead, where have they been appearing most often." She then walked over to Ryu slammed her pommel on his head.
"Yes pervy-boy your were just using that as an excuse to touch me, then get all feely!" She was glaring at him still pointing and accusing. SHe knew how the male mind worked, it was all breasts and lower regions. She'd be damned if he thought he could get away with that, with her. She then looked back at Joe and awaited his answer.

A bell could be heard in the distance, an infernal ring that came from everywhere and nowhere at once like some curious tinnitus. A black slash cut horizontally across the pale blue sky, before splitting vertically with multiple tears along its length. Parting like dry, cracked lips or a wound held open for study during clinical autopsy, all those who saw inside bore witness to a hot, boiling, irridescent darkness. Darkbrite, corpse light, sinful shadow shine, it swirled, it seethed, it festered like some primordial pus from times immemorial. The sounds it made weren't words as anyone knew them, but all who heard still felt as though the void spat unspeakable curses. An abyssal chill filled the air, reaching out to the shores of their hearts like a black tide pulled in by a sanguine moon. It was an effect more psychological that atmospheric. No matter how many times one had seen it before, it still managed to put one on edge. This was Garganta. The throat of darkness. Its presence always heralded the arrival of things that should not be.
Like maggot from a wound, a dark form emerged from the rended sky. Coming to light, the form took the shape of a young man of some eastern heritage with his hands behind his back. Dressed in something like a cassock, darker than pitch with a lining more crimson than blood, he descended like a dark priest come to administer last rites before the last clean soul slipped into the inky black of iniquity, or the last monument crumbled into dark debris at the twilight of civilization. Touching the ground, he bowed, smiling a little. Showing the top of his head, the bony crest that started at the back of his neck, curved around the side, and ended in the middle of his forehead became evident. A series of thin, sharp, angular yellow lines, perhaps a tattoo, traced something like a domino mask on his face. His hazel gaze did not appear harsh or hateful, but rather connoted a deadly curiosity that unnerved all the same.
As if to ease the tension, a pretty butterfly passed between him and the party in front of him, behind the garage. As it flitted by, it was suddenly plucked from the air; with the swiftest of reflexes were its wings held shut between his index and middle fingers with the greatest care. Examining it, he carefull pulled the legs from it a pair at a time. One...Two...Three. He frowned a little, not because he was sorry for the little thing, but because it ceased to amuse him anymore. Folding it into the palm of his hand, he crushed the thing, whatever it called "blood" oozing between his fingers. Briefly, his fist ignited with a shimmering orange reiatsu that was stained with black, incinerating its remains. Rubbing his palms together he cleared his hands of the gray dust, smiling again.
"Its a funny thing...ash. It's dirty and clean at the same time", he said in English, with an accent that was as much from London as it was from Hong Kong. "Ah! Forgive me for becoming so distracted.", he apologized, switching to Japanese, " I am Seimenk Ongoh. I sensed the presence of a Hollow here, but I cannot feel it anymore, Shinigami-san. Have you extinguished it already? I was sure it was an Adjuchas, but given that you two Shinigami are here, with your combined power and interference across the portal, I may have overestimated its abilities." He paused for a moment, realizing that his prescense was also noticed by a human construction worker. It would seem he was spiritually aware, and given his proximity to the two Shinigami he had probably had some interaction with them.
"Hello.", he said flatly he extending a hand. Looking him in the eye, he tried to guess what he was feeling. He wondered how many spiritual beings the human had met before, and what his attitudes were. Did he know what he was?
Joe stared at this man, but here was no fear in his eyes; it was more of a questionable look, almost like he was offended at something this person had said or done. "No..." He says calmly before closing his eyes and sighing out. "Just no... No to this whole Shinigami and Hollow shit. No to this damn being able to see spirits. No to people floating out of rips in the fucking skies!" As his voice raises, he stops, then closes his eyes and breathes out through his nose. This was indeed a very stressful day indeed.
He leers at the man before him, almost like he didn't even care anymore. He was greatly annoyed by his presence, and the presence of the two Shinigami now, but there wasn't really much he could do about it, so he just shuts his eyes and sighs again. Joe rises to his feet and rubs the back of his head, the annoyance and frustration of being ignorant to the forces taking place around him easily present in his eyes. "Sorry. This is all just a bit new to me, and now we've got people descending from voids in the sky like goddamn demons. I"m just a bit overwhelmed is all..."
