With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
"Some people like to swim, some like to dig in the sand and make stuff out of the sand." she said with a shrug. "Others just like to tan or admire other people." She added. There wasn't much really else to do at the beach. "Others just like to chat with their friends." She shrugged nonchalantly and laid down looking at the clouds. "I'm not really a beach person, but I like the sea and the sky." It was nice chatting to Nekoruru. It was odd, but she felt strangely at ease with her like she could let out her innermost feelings without worry. She sighed deeply. They had only just met yet Nekoruru had become a friend.

"Bleh, water sucks. It clings, and stuff!" she said with a deep frown,"Beach is fun to look at, not to be," she sounded disappointed as she laid back into the sand and made sand angels. "Ooo! Sand!" she rolled, and played in it some which went against her previous statement, and pawed, and kicked on it as she laid on it, "hehehehehe!"
"You play in the sand, too?" she asked as she started to dig a hole. It didn't matter to her that no one but the shinigami and maybe a few spiritually aware folk could see her, she just dug for no apparent reason aside that she waned to.
"Sounds like a plan to me." she said with a smile and began to dig through the sand with her. She smiled and looked at Nekoruru. "Aren't you a bit hot in that parka?" She asked curiously as they dug a deeper hole. She was glad the beach was virtually empty, otherwise people might think the beach was haunted, though technically as they were both spirits it was.
Rinpo had decided that he was going to go to the beach today and so he didn't have the urge to fight Daruba had persuaded him to leave his zanpak at home and go wearing human clothes. And so there he was, lying on the beach wearing no top which revealed his moderately toned body...and floral shorts, of all the things he could find to wear he had foolishly chosen this which as he now noticed made him stick out like a sore thumb.
Rinpo sat up and ruffled the sand out of his hair and turned, leaning on his elbows, to see where all the chatter was coming from. Then he saw them, two girls, one in a very smothering looking parka, were busy digging a hole, no apparent reason to be seen. Just digging a whole. The way he was dressed however gave him an idea, maybe he could pass himself off as a basic human, so long as he hid his reiatsu. And so he did, covering as much of his reitsu presence as possible Rinpo walked over to the whole and put on a shocked and scared face as he looked into the whole seeing the two girls digging, to them however, he was blind to their presence.
[orange] " G-G-G-GHOOOOOST! What is WRONG with this beach!? [/orange]
Rinpo turned pretending to run and forced himself to stumble falling onto his back and continued to watch sand being thrown out of the whole and began to wimper, trying to make himself seem as much like a scared human as possible.
Seki turned and glanced over the man. She smiled seeing he was obviously faking. This would be a good test to see how good Nekoruru was at sensing people and reading them. She continued to dig the hole making it wider. They had hit wet sand now and she was using the wet sand to strengthen the walls to prevent a cave in. She thought about this for a while. This Rinpo was familiar, but she wasn't sure where. Had she seen him about on her patrols of the real world...or was he another shinigami. She couldn't see a zanpakutoh, but some shinigami left them behind occasionally.
She wondered what Neko would say in response to this act as she began to dig deeper into the hole. She had a feeling they might hit rock soon or perhaps water. Afterall, there was often water deep under the sand even in a desert environment and this was right next to the sea so there was obviously going to be water somewhere below the surface of the sand. She wondered how long it would be before she struck the water or the rock.

('z okay.)
"Eh? Naw." she replied, "I always wear this," she dug a bit faster, "'m okay... you wanna see though, don't'cha?" she grinned at Seki, and teased her a bit in tone before she started to dig again with no further thought.
She heard a guy start to shout, "FEEEH! Shutup!" she kicked sand at the man with her foot, then sat by he hole, "What you want noisy coward man?" she stared at Rinpo with crimson, glowing eyes, and sharp triangular teeth in a frown as she sat by the hole.
She figured this guy wasn't a threat cept to her hearing as he was all screamy, and shouty, and stuff. Trouble maker, maybe? Hrm... She'd have to wait and see.
"You're never going to get anywhere like that....", a familiar voice came from above.
Below him, Seimenk spotted Nekoruru digging a hole on the beach. Nearby was a Shinigami he had met in the mall a few weeks ago. How curious to see both of them together.
Small world after all?
"Let me show you how its done, Nekoruru.", he said, descending and landing softly on the beach. Getting a feel for how the earth here interacted with his reiatsu, he was pleased to find that though its mineral content was different it behaved the same way as the sands of Hueco Mundo. Channeling his power beneath the bizarre catgirl, her little hole suddenly expanded into 6ft deep shaft with a 3x2.5ft opening. Of course the sand didn'tgo that deep, there was gravel, larger stones, clay, and then bedrock.
"How have you been Kouseki?", he asked, "I see you met my friend..."

She glanced up at Nekoruru's comment about wanting to see. "I wouldn't mind." she replied with a wink. Then she saw and sensed the arrancar she had met before. "Its been a while....well not really." she joked. "Nice seeing you again." How odd was it saying that to an arrancar and how much odder was it that Ekishou had not made a single comment? Yet that was not the oddest thing. She had not got angry at the arrancar using her full name.
She stared at the hole. "Nice power." she said. "How'd you do that?" she asked. Did he have the power to manipulate earth or was he just especially skilled with his reiatsu. Either way it was pretty impressive. Earth manipulation was quite a rare skill.
Rinpo sighed, well that was no fun, no reaction other than some sand kicked at him. Time to stop pretending. Rinpo stood up, burshed the sand off him and ruffled his hair so it stood on end once again. He then reached down picking up a handful of sand and thew it at the woman in the jacket.
[orange] "Sand ain't very nice in your face, is it. Maybe you shouldn't throw it at people without knowing they will manage to throw it back. hm?" [/orange]
Rinpo then walked forward a few steps and looked down the whole, shocked to see how deep it was, thiking that if he had his fists he could've helped a LOT.
[orange] Daruba, this is the last time i listen when you tell me not to bring my scimitar! [/orange]
[blue] How was i meant to know you would want to build an ickle sand castle! child. [/orange]

"Aw. Whaz the fun in digging like that?" Nekoruru looked up at Seimenk, then waved her pawy hand at'em with that cheshire grin on her face. He sure did pop up in unexpected areas.
Then phaph! She was hit by sand! "h'ki?" she said as she perked, then looked at Rinpo with her glowing red eyes that, aside from the mouth of sharp teeth, broke the eternal shadow that was her head, and face. She grinned more at him, and looked absolutely EVIL!! "SAND FIIIIIIIIGHT!!" She said in a tone that completely obliterated any evil impressions she might have given, then swatted a paw full of sand at Rinpo as she giggled and laughed like a child.
