With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
As you may have noticed, there have been a few changes over the past few days. I'd like to take this time to introduce myself, my name is Akesato and I will be your new head admin. I look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you and hopefully make this site kick ass. Please do not RP on this forum until I give you the go ahead. Firstly, there are a few issues I want to address and I would love to have your input before I make any major changes to your site.
1. Vampires- Is anyone really attached to this concept? In all honesty I'd like to completely do away with vampires. I think they are ridiculous and unneccessary, like bounts. This is Bleach, not Twilight.
2. Rules- God, where to begin? There are so many rules for this place it makes my head spin! Does anyone ever actually read all of them? I think they could be condensed, which would also make them easier for staff to enforce.
3. Power tier- While the concept is...okay...the whole earning new skills and abilities through post count is doing nothing aside from encouraging people to power post. A lot of times this is pure garbage because members are only doing it for the sake of getting bankai, resureccion, etc. This site should be about QUALITY not QUANITY, agree? So I propose we re-do the power tier.
4. Site Plot- As far as I can tell, there is none. I have no clue what setting or time this board takes place, where the canons are, etc. It's very confusing. I'd like to give you guys a main plot, using events just to supplement that. What do you think?
5. Crossovers- Ugh. I've noticed there are quite a few bleachified crossovers and all I can say is...YUCK. Where's the originality? Doing this takes the ORIGINAL out of Original Character. Using a different chars appearance is one thing, but when you use the name, appearance, skills, and personality I think that's going a bit overboard. Next thing you know, we'll have an alchemest named Edward Elric running around. Again, this is BLEACH, not FMA, One Piece, Final Fantasy, etc. No more crossovers please. They make Tite Kubo cry.
Okay, that's all I have for now. I'm going to leave the forum up over the next few days and give you guys a chance to respond. You're input is encouraged, I DO care what you think. You may have also noticed posts have been deleted, fear not because I will be keeping all of your character apps, mainly we will just be redoing the RP side. At some point, I'll also be asking you to resubmit those applications because I've noticed that some horribad ones have slipped through the cracks. Thank you guys and I hope you will stay with Chain of Life during this time of change.
I definetly see no need for vampires, and i do like the sound of reforming everything.
As for crossovers........ my characters are sort of crossovers, but I use minor characters from a personal favorite video game of mine, take their personality concept and their appearance, and that's it. I make up the powers myself and build upon their otherwise minor character. Hope thats ok. We can discuss this if you want

Vampire are an unnecessary thing in this site in my opinion but my suggestion is to leave it to a vote. As far as the requirements to achieve power ups i say keep the costs, but lower them to something more reasonable. again though i think that you should put it to a vote.
I love you! I think the Power Tier should definetely be changed. All you have to do is post in the discussion topic a million times, or make nooby posts, and you're in for power? I personally think that's bull. BTW, I know I seem like a cross-over with Lelouch and all, but I've only copied his appearence basically. I hope you have fun as an admin, and I'm glad that Matt gave his position to you specifically. You'll make a great one
omg, i falling in love with you >< !!! I couldnt agree with you more on everything, ecspecialy the charectar tier, i cant on trying to say tht people would post just to get their shikai or bankai and would post in non-rp topics. It's like getting something for free, however im not gonna go one with that. I'm not saying that we were in bad hands before, however im definatly glad a new authority has arrived! =)
I agree with the message above the site definitely needed a revamp and if your post above is any indication of the type of admin you will be i believe we are all in good hands
Some of you may remember from this sites early early days, but probably not.
My name is Hikaru and I will be your new Profile and Event admin. It will be my job to approve the majority of applications, with final say in all applications. This means that if Ake or another mod approves you, I can overturn it.
I don't abuse my power, and follow a firm but fair modus operandi. What I look for is character development, plausibility, and realism. I'm not a tyrant about applications, seeing as how not everyone can be a Kyra, and I make decisions based on the players writing abilities. I.E. if someone writes poorly but their character works, they'll get approved, but at a low level.
Secondly, I am the main Event Admin. That means that I'll be the one cooking up your tasty event threads. (Which I am already hammering out). Those that have been part of my events seem to really enjoy them, and I hope you too will have fun with my own take on the Bleach universe. I'm also open to suggestions for all events, but I may not always implement them. Don't feel bad, it's not you, its just it may effect the story too much for me to do at that time.

First off welcome to the new, new/old admins. For the sake of answering questions let me put in my two cents. Vampires can go. I had one for the sake of it,but people dont post in the vamp forum anyways. there should be noone who really argues that point.
Next I have read all the rules, and made sure to follow them. I occasionally have to go back and look at them, but Im down with redoing/revamping them as well, because they can be daunting and discourage new rpers.
Power tier....gosh, I dont know, if you have a tried and proven system go for it, but the old system should be checked for who was higher up in the tier, and people applying for higher levels should have to provide links to their rp forums for investigation.
Site plot, we had an all destiny plot going that got killed cause admins were not putting up any threads, so Matt was in the process of getting a new one going on. The general plot idea for the site was the Espada had branched out on their own (either Aizen had died or was removed from power somehow) so it is obviously something like 500yrs in the future, but im not 100% sure of all that. the admins/ older members could probably tell you more.
I agree with you totally on crossovers, using somethings is okay, but total copying is bull.

Hello people this is Saix- your former Staff speaking. now before i note my opinions i'd like to tell you i met both hikaru and ake before hand and they are wondrous people and i hope they do good things for this site.
1.) Vampires may not be a part of bleach but everyone who dislikes them on said beforehand has barely been here save for shadow. Me,Matthew, and various others all ran vampires. not only because we saw bounto in the end as non-Favorited chars. but it added a little individuality to our site. Your right this isnt twilight Ake nor did we try to make it that way. Twilight is prolly one of the worst representations of vampires ever. They had their own plot somewhat alike the quincy another race that the shinigami deemed dangerous and had to eliminate. Except for the few individuals who rebuilt the race.
I say keep them but leave it to vote. Although with most of our old member base gone it will be mostly new people voting who find the thought of vampires stupid. <-- which is a bias.
2)Rules: Our rules were created so we could call people out on things that no one seems to care about. similar to the power parameters rule post i created. If someone god forbid stood up to a captain out of arrogance and fought. even if the captain decided to play around a captain using shunpo on a much weaker target the person wouldn't even be able to see their movements much less block their sword or their strikes. Alot of people are wimps and cant take hits like a normal warrior and will sum up a great rp'ers post and will simply integrate everything they did into a bunch of dodging which is ridiculous. Which is why i made that rulings post. because people will do whatever they feel like doing unless told otherwise. Thats why the summary of rules was made up.
3.) Power tier: you've got it a little twisted. In our current tier, power was determined by rank. in our more flexible tier people abused it and tried to jump tier way too often. so we had to crack down on it. and make it tighter with smaller exceptions. abilities werent based on post count only shikai/bankai/ress/mask control/ were the amount of abilities you had were based on training posts whether solo or group and once the training was completed you had a staff member approve it. since only me and veral could accept apps aside from matt it was usually one of the 3. But in the end it was the drama that shot the site down along with personal issues but not the tier nor rules.
4.) Site plot- I can tell you much of the plot just from having been here for awhile. In a short summary this takes place after the battle with aizen we aren't in our own separate Bleach universe. After the battle much has changed and many have died. the dead includes some favorited canons like aizen,gin, and tousen. Practically all of the original espada are dead Ulquiorra and grimmjow were kept alive due to vote because of their character content which was needed to bring drive to the story. The vampires have their own plot. The spot of captain-commander was left open as yamamoto was sent to 0-Div. and the 5th squad had become integrated with the kido corps. The vizards themselves are still secluded in their own nitch but have expanded into the 7 vizard tribunal allowing their army to grow exponentially. The espada still exist but are under the rule of the primera. They still own the hougyouku which at present time is the only item capable of regularly creating arrancar or vizards. While our event was going to start soon i can send you the email of what my plot idea for matt was meant to be. he enjoyed and had a ton of ideas in his head but sadly it came to this.
5. Crossovers- Im not totally against this while i rather not have a "bleach site" become kingdomhearts,FF, or any other anime. People like chars from video games whether it be name appearance or abilities and we cant just say no. If they by term "bleachify" their chars. in power and aspect and also history wise. then it should be perfectly fine.
