With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
"What else can you do? Some entertainment will pass the time while I protect this thing."
Adan glanced at it; he recognized what it was, but didn't much care. It was dangerous, and he should have. But he didn't. He wouldn't. Not outwardly, at least. Any concerns he may have had, he kept hidden under a smiling facade.
"Lots of stuff," Adan answered, holding up his arm and creating a sparkler on his stump. It spread a blue light over his face, and might have drawn some attention to him had there been more than two people around. (There were three, but Adan didn't notice.)
"I'm Adan Achapparado," he introduced himself, his stump fizzling out. "Just so ya know."
He proceeded to create a light show, launching cero into the air and allowing them to either fizzle out or pop, releasing a haze of reiatsu in some cases. He watched them, knowing that he was imitating a festival he had once seen.

Sobek watched the display from his place on the fountain, it was cute, entertaining for someone with a childlike mind such as Jugo, who encouraged the boy to continue. When he heard the boy's name however, he frowned. As much as he despised Jeanne, he did have a job to do. With a flash of Sonido he was standing a few feet to the side of Jugo.
"Adan Achapparado,...quite an facinating trick you have there, isn't it Jugo?" Did that sound slightly condesending, maybe...
"Yes, I know that name." He turned his head slightly to glance at Jugo and continued.
"Jugo, this is one of the arrancar who left Los Noches. I believe they spoke of him as,...troublesome. Jeanne has asked that we return with him to Los Noches, understand? While I would rather he come quietly, somehow I don't think he will. How about it Adan?"
The last said as he looked back towards the rooftop where Adan perched.

"Call me Jugo." Jugo enjoyed he light show of his new companion Adan and gave his name. It was like one of those firework displays he's heard about. It was definitely more enjoyable than having to deal with those condescending arrancar who thought they were better than him. Those guys are the worst.
Speaking of which condescending, Sobek made himself known after a few moments of relaxing.
"Adan Achapparado,...quite an fascinating trick you have there, isn't it Jugo?"
Jugo didn't answer, the tone in Sobek's voice was rather annoying. Jugo got up at this time, holding his iron club on his shoulder, and observed what was going on.
"Jugo, this is one of the arrancar who left Los Noches. I believe they spoke of him as,...troublesome. Jeanne has asked that we return with him to Los Noches, understand? While I would rather he come quietly, somehow I don't think he will. How about it Adan?"
He definitely didn't like Sobek's tone and attitude toward him. He wasn't that stupid, he knew why they were there. He had remembered his orders and more importantly he knew what he had to do. "Yeah, I doubt this will end without conflict." Acting as if he agreed with Sobek before he took his iron club in both hands and swung it. He attempted to hit Sobek like a golf-ball and make a hole in one with his body. "Get out of here Adan. I'll hold him off for as long as I can." Yeah, he was betraying his mission for some guy he just met, but Adan never talked down to him. Adan never treated him like a tool, and Adan was just too damn entertaining to be caught.
------
Samyeru pulled out what remained of the crimson spikes that found themselves in his hide. This girl was not as fast as him but she was keeping the pace quit well. Her face still haunted him as he tried to hide in the deep woods, catching his breath, and having some of his wounds heal.
She had to be someone from the time I can't remember. Pictures of a cave, piles of wrappers, and chains came to mind. Rubbing his wrist, he can remember the chains that were bound to him so many years ago. Than Himeko's face came to mind, her smiling face that had compassion for others.
An explosion ripped her face from his mind and he could smell Jeanne near by. She had been firing Balas in his direction in an attempt at smoking him out. "You can't keep this up forever. Why not just come back as my subordinate?" She cooed at Samyeru revealing why she was there, all the while her red eyes looking for him.
"I need someone who can actually get the job done. Unlike a certain croc, you will be far more reliable." She spotted him, fired another bala, and started the chase again.
As he attempted to leave while she talked, he got a Bala to his back. It caused pain, leaving a burn mark on his back. He had to keep moving, try to find a way from fighting this girl. She was just the opponent he had hope to never meet, child like and able to exploit it to the fullest. Can't attack, just gotta keep running. It was the only thing he can think of as he got closer and closer to where Lilith and Yue fought Mook.
-------
Mook was no longer using his Sabre, he had released, and looked like a humanoid hippo. He used his new found jaw power as he tried to literally eat the two girls. Mouth full of earth, Moo looked for the two girls as he swallowed the dirt and rocks.
The girls, meanwhile, were behind the obelisk. They looked tired, bruised, and dirty. Breathing heavily, Yue looked at the Arrancar girl that was fighting her own kind. "What's the deal?" She started to as as Lilith looked her way. "Why are you helping me?"
Lilith looked a bit insulted by this. "I'm not helping you, that's a happy accident. I'm trying to save my ass here from this--ugly--guy?" She started to trail off when Mook appeared behind Yue and snatched her in his grasp. Squeezing hard, Yue tried to struggle but in was to no avail.
Holding the human girl up to his face, Mook opened his large mouth to eat her. That was the plan, until Lilith shot a cero in there and started to pry the fist open. "Don't get me wrong, I'm just repaying you for saving me back there." Yue was in pain as Lilith dragged her out of the behemoth's hand and carried her to ground. Mouth burned from the blast, Mook charged his own Cero at the two to cook his meal. That was the plan at least.
As the crimson light charge, Lilith and Yue looked on in horror, and Mook was pretty sure he had won. That is until a swift upper cut caused his lower jaw to move up when the blast was suppose to fire. The blast collided and blew up inside Mook's mouth. It sent the Hippo down to his knees as he starred at who had hit him.
Samyeru may have been running from Jeanne, but Lilith was still more important than his own safety. Yue looked at Samyeru like he was a spirit creature that she saw in the desert. Lilith only saw her brother, saving he day again, and that was fantastic. But before she could even get up to embrace him, he was hit with an iron maiden by a Lolita arrancar.
"Guess this means you're done running my pet." She smiled as she continued to apply pressure from her iron maiden that sat on top of him.
"Call me Jugo," the other arrancar said. Adan smiled. He would remember his new friend's name, even if they hadn't known each other very long. It was nice to see someone who appreciated Adan's greeting.
It ended too soon. The whoosh of sonido gave Adan pause, and he stopped before he could produce another cero.
"Adan Achapparado...quite a fascinating trick you have there, isn't it Jugo?"
The arrancar was new to Adan; perhaps Adan should have known who this one was, but he didn't recognize him. Adan hadn't ever paid much notice; he new of the Espada, and he knew of a few fraccion. Just not this one.
He noticed that Jugo didn't answer, and his eyes grew sad when Jugo stood. Would they be fighting so soon?
"Jugo, this is one of the arrancar who left Los Noches. I believe they spoke of him as...troublesome. Jeanne has asked that we return with him to Los Noches, understand? While I would rather he come quietly, somehow I don't think he will. How about it, Adan?"
Adan clenched his jaw, and with his good hand reached for his sword. "I...I can't go back. Szayel'll kill me or worse."
"Yeah," Jugo said, "I doubt this will end without conflict." Adan held out his stump, ready to fire a cero while he reached for his feather-like sword. Before he could reach it, however, Jugo swong at Sobek. "Get out of here, Adan. I'll hold him off for as long as I can."
"You can't!" Adan protested, eyes wide. "I...I just met you! Sh...shit!"
Adan fired the cero past Jugo at Sobek. He wouldn't let Jugo die so he could slip away.

Of course Sobek would rather Adan come along peacefully, but he guessed Adan wouldn't. The tension was thick as Adan clenched his jaw and slowly reached for his sword.
"I...I can't go back. Szayel'll kill me or worse."
He didn't think however that Jugo would turn on him.
"Yeah, I doubt this will end without conflict." Jugo said, acting like he agreed with Sobek then took his iron club in both hands and swung it into Sobek doubling him over as he flew back into the nearest wall. It was so unexpected it dazed him for a moment. He shook his head as pieces of rubble fell around him.
"Get out of here Adan. I'll hold him off for as long as I can."
"You can't! I...I just met you! Sh...shit!"
Sobek's eye narrowed at the other arrancar. "You, you'll pay dearly for tha..." Sobek's eye widened as he felt the gathering of power from Adan. He didn't finish his sentance as Adan's cero fired past Jugo and lit up the area where Sobek was. It felt like it was dead on, but in the sound of the explosion it was hard to hear the static buzz of Sonido.
Sobek had just barely made it out but not completely unharmed, his outfit was dirty and scorched again. As soon as he was clear of the smoke he activated his Mascara Espiritu to mask his presence from Adan and Jugo. With a scowl of distate he spat blood, then he stood from where he hid around a corner and peered back to watch them squirm searching for him. He'd wait until Jugo or Adan checked the debris and then he would strike.

Jugo believe he got that hit in, maybe he really could hold this guy off. "That may be true, but friendship can form with just one meeting." That was very profound, too bad he got that from a fortune cookie.
He couldn't feel Sobek anywhere, perhaps they got him in those two shots. Jugo had to know for sure and ventured toward the rubble. "Besides, never liked the way that guy talked." Continuing to speak as he poked the rubble with his iron club, unaware of the impending danger that he placed himself in.
"I think he's dead." Jugo said, turning his back to where Sobek hid. That would be his last mistake.
-----
Lilith watched in horror as Samyeru was continually pressed by the iron maiden. It enraged her to the point of gripping her ring blade and uttering two words. "Spiral, Equinox!" She erupted in a tornado a purple reiastu before she emerged, charging at Jeanne with hate in her eyes.
The four armed girl fired balas at her as he came in from above with an axe kick. Jeanne looked on, moved her zanpakuto before her and entered. She didn't know who this girl was, but she had better get the idea that her maiden was a perfect defense.
When Lilith realized she couldn't get to the bitch inside, she lifted it up off Samyeru and tossed it far away. She knelt down, holding Samyeru in her arms, and tears started to run down her face. "Oni-chan, are you alright? Why'd you take that hit?" He looked up at her, wounds healing slowly but surely as Lilith's tears hit his face.
He lifted a hand to wipe them away and adjusted himself to a seated position. Yue watched in confusion as the two interacted. She had no idea that Arrancar could have a close family relationship, it was sweet and interesting at the same time. But when the release of a powerful spiritual pressure blanketed the area, all three of them knew something was wrong.
Jeanne was back, angry at even further interruption of her mission. She held her halberd on both hands and sent two red blast at Lilith. Samyeru pushed Lilith out of the way, taking the two blast, but strangely didn't take any injury. That is until the searing pain erupted throughout his body. Convulsing on the ground, he couldn't hear Lilith's scream as the pain was too much.
Lilith looked at Jeanne with rage once more and charged again. Only this time, she was caught by her throat. "You think I'll allow you to attack me. You are sadly mistaken." She brought her knee up into the small arrancar's stomach several times before Lilith was let go. Falling to her knees, Lilith was kicked in the jaw hard enough to send her skipping across the ground.
She landed near Yue, who watched as these two tried to get up from their pain. She couldn't do anything to help, unless she entered Kuzoku Juuka. But that wasn't going to happen as Jeanne appeared before her and grabbed her by her throat. Placing her foot down on Lilith's head, she looked over at Samyeru, who started to rise from the pain of years of injures. "Choose, the human girl or your the one you call sister." Jeanne said holding the two girls hostage as Samyeru got to his feet.
She smiled at him, it was sweet and evil at the same time. The look in his eyes told her he knew what was going to happen next. "Who lives and who dies?" An impossible choice for a man who swore to protect both humans and Lilith.
Adan grinned when his cero appeared to hit. He couldn't see Sobek, hear him, or sense him. But that seemed a little off. Why would they send someone after Adan if he'd be taken down so easily? It bothered Adan. Maybe they just underestimated him.
Of course, they wouldn't make the same mistake again.
"Besides, never liked the way that guy talked," Jugo said, poking the rubble with his club. Adan moved to sit down, tousling his hair with his stump.
"Didn't know him....but he sounded a bit like Xuan just now," Adan muttered. "Ah well."
Jugo said he thought Sobek had died, and turned his back to the rubble. Adan wasn't so sure they'd underestimate him like that. Maybe they just hadn't expected a two-on one fight--not the way it happened. "Yeah, I guess."

The two certainly seemed to enjoy their short victory.
"...Never liked the way that guy talked." Jugo said as he walked over and poked at the rubble with his iron club. "I think he's dead."
"Yeah, I guess." Adan answered.
"Not quite." Sobek replied.
There was another static buzz as Sobek appeared behind Jugo with his Khopesh drawn. The curved blade swiftly plunged towards Jugo's back. Honestly Sobek was getting sick of being backstabbed, that was his job.
"This is a good thing, Jugo. I'm actually saving you, if Jeanne had her way, you would die very slowly."
Even should that fail he wasn't about to lose this sneak attack advantage, his head turned and from his one yellow-golden eye a midnight blue cero charged and fired up towards where Adan had plopped down to tousle his hair.

Static noise caused Jugo to become alert and he turned to face Sobek once more. Iron club high over head, poised to strike the man like a mole in whack a mole, but he stopped suddenly. With a large thud, Jugo dropped his large weapon behind him as a look of shock plastered his face.
The feeling of moisture traveled down the bull horned Arrancar as his free hand went to feel for the source. No words could reach him as he looked at the crimson liquid that painted his palm. Drips of blood finally dripping to the ground, revealing to everyone that Jugo was injured.
Sobek's strike missed the back and hit Jugo in his stomach, a fatal blow. Crashing to his knees, Jugo could no longer fight in this battle as his vision begins to fade as the blue cero fired past him. "At least I got to see a pretty show." Speaking under his breath to no one, Jugo faints from blood loss and remains on his knees leaving Adan to fend of Sobek alone.
-------
Choose?! He had to choose between Lilith and an Innocent human girl caught in the battle. Holding his chest as he stood, Samyeru's dark eyes darted between Lilith, Yue, and Jeanne. The faces of both Lilith and Yue kept coming to mind.
Blood stained smiling faces of both flashed before him. His eyes of shear horror as he couldn't make such a decision even if it meant his own death.
Jeanne was enjoying him struggle with an internal conflict. She relished every second as she continued to apply pressure to Yue's throat, causing the poor girl to squeal from the pain. That sent a pleasurable tone to Jeanne's ears that caused her to flush with delight. All this was just an evening opera for her and only having tea would make this even more pleasurable. Her nose itched for a moment as if someone dared to utter her name.
An idea came to mind as Samyeru watched Jeanne carefully as the plan formulated. He'll charge in as if he were going to attack but instead distract her with a sudden change of appearance. No, that wouldn't work, she'd just put the girl in front of the attack. As long as Jeanne held hostages, he was just a dog ready to be put down.
Lilith started to come to, seeing what was happening before her. She heard what Jeanne said about choosing between her and the human. She knew Samyeru well enough that such a decision was not in his mind set. Knowing him, he'll try something crazy that would either save them or kill him while trying. She had a plan herself, but she needed a distraction.
Should have known. Adan should have known. His jaw clenched, his eyes widened, his fist clenched tightly around his sword's handle. He could see Sobek, standing behind Jugo, and he couldn't tell what had happened, not at first. It wasn't until he heard the clunk of Jugo's club that he knew what took place.
"Shit," he whispered, stepping towards the scene.
"This is a good thing," Sobek said, giving Adan pause, "I'm actually saving you. If Jeanne had her way, you would die very slowly."
Adan took another step forward, shaking. Was he horrified, or furious? He wanted to scream. It wasn't every day that a rogue arrancar could find a friend in another arrancar, but Adan seemed to have managed. And that was taken away. Jugo spoke, making Adan choke on his breath. "At least I got to see a pretty show."
Now Adan knew--he was furious. He saw Sobek's cero, and in response he sonidoed closer to Sobek, just a short distance away. A humorless smile spread across his face as he flatly said, "Get away from him."
