With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.

As she stated the number three told him plenty he nodded as he gave a cocky grin. "Sure does. It's the number of dates it'd take before you were begging me to marry you--and also the number of children you'd wind up wanting." Akihiko was a brave, brave man it seemed.
As she began near shouting, he raised a brow. When she stepped forward, he leaned in too, nearly bumping his forehead against her. Well, rather, leaned down.
"I should be jealous!? Look at you, runt! You're tiny! I'd break you! You don't even look like you could fight your way outta wet paper bag! Pfft! Jealous! And fat!? This is two hundred and fifty pounds of muscle! What, you wanna see me take off my shirt!?"
As she stated what seat she was, Akihiko scrunched his face and made high pitched sounds, obviously like he was mocking her. Regardless, though, he stood up straight--rather far taller than her. "Yeah?! Well I'm in Squad 5 too! So how about that!? And I am NOT making excuses! You're the one who came at me all chicken eyed trying to corner me with your twenty one questions! If you wanted a date, you coulda just asked!"
Finally though, he turned, closing his eyes and folding his arms, though the right hand lifted as he made a shooing notion. "Buuuut, I bore of this conversation...you can skidaddle for now, and find an elementary kid to play with."
"Like as if I'd want to marry the biggest pile of lard out there. Let alone want kids with it," she said in a sarcastic disgust. Their ranting had gotten them pretty close to the point where she could see his emerald green eyes. They were actual pretty and different from the normal browns and blues that she's used to seeing. His huge figure figure obviously towered over her more short and petite size when he stood straight.
His constant mention on her smallness wasn't exacly something she wanted to keep hearing. "Just because I'm smaller than you doesn't mean I can't shove your head up your ass. Don't underestimate me! And FYI, your so called muscles are all fatty cells, so who'd want a date with blubber." She pointed at his arms and got ready to pinch his skin together to prove a layer of fatness.
"An elementary kid?! Why don't you go play in traffic!"
As she clearly again called him fat, he let out an audible growl and narrowed those emeralds. "I ain't fat, dammit! This is muscle! But you wouldn't know anything about that, would you 'stick figure'?!"
It was probably a good thing she didn't comment aloud on his eyes, as that would give him more ammo with which to verbally bombard her with, and even more so try and get closer so she could "get a better look".
When she threatened with bending him over and shoving his head up his own ass, he let out a gasp. "Language! Knock that off, before I wash your mouth out with soap! Or...unless you preferred me shutting you up some other way.." He winked after this comment, but followed up.
"That why you're getting so close?! You want a kiss from the great Nakamura?!"
When she reached forward to pinch him, he'd allow this and once she grabbed the flesh and pinched, he flexed. This pulled the skin tight against his thick bicep and showed that they were indeed muscles, and that they were indeed firm.
He grinned. "And now you're trying to feel me up. Railing off questions and then copping a feel...I do believe this could be classified as sexual harassment against a subordinate."
At the comment of going to play in traffic, he scoffed. "I'd rather play with you--far more dangerous."
What a pervert... she thought when he said the comment about shutting her up. "You really don't lay off do ya? What? Are you like the number one rated pedophile out there. You really are sketchy. You're probably some rapist that enjoys pumeling the poor innocent living victims. And since they can't see you, you can't be blamed." Not that it wasn't or was impossible to commit such a crime, but she was sure that this guy would probably be able to pull something like that off.
Something just wasn't right with him, so much like a womanizer or a pervert of some sort. It was like as if he were desparate, and this revelation made Rin smirk for another come back. "How tragic, must be a shame to be sooo darn fat and ugly and not get any girls. That must be why you're here. You know, you can always find some low lives that'll sell themselves in Rukongai." Rin crossed her arms again and mocked him. "So a kiss from you would be like degrading myself. If I did, it'd be like i kissed a pile of terds. Now that just isn't sanitary, now is it?
"Plus, I didn't feel you up. There's nothing to feel. Everyone can flex and make their muscles feel harder." If this were two little kids in an argument, Rin surely would've stuck her tongue at some point in time by now.

When she went so far as to call him a rapist, his smirk dropped. "Now that's just taking this too far. A flirt I may be, but I'd never take it so far as to do anything like you suggested. All of the women I've slept with have been purely of choice."
"Furthermore, ya pint sized pain in my ass, I didn't leave the Soul Society just to hook up with some living chick--I came here, little miss runt, on a MISSION! One that you're interfering with!"
As she mocked him, he went so far as to bend back down, arms still folded. "A kiss from me, would be like a kiss from a god! I'd have you know that I have been told I am very handsome, multiple times." He growled as she commented on his muscles. If there was anything Akihiko prided himself on, it was his great physical shape. He was larger than most other Shinigami, and more well built. Most of them were lean in their muscles, while Aki was legitimately built. He unfolded his arms and balled his fists, practically seething in his rage.
"Ya know what? Screw it. Fiery you may be, but you're personality is horrible. You may be cute, but beauty is only skin deep. You're really a hideous person. Good evening, Third Seat. Do yourself, and everyone else a favor, and never try to copulate. The world is ugly enough with you in it."
And with that, he would move to step by her and continue on.
Being harsher than usual Rin? A familiar voice questioned as she felt the warmth of her spiritual power fill her mind. She knew she was getting all fired up and that she doesn't know when she should hold her tongue. With his last comments, she did feel them hit her more than any of the others. If she were just an innocent little girl, she'd probably just cry, but she wasn't. Arms crossed, she pulled them in tighter and looked the other way with an unpleased look on her face as he walked the other direction. You will never get anywhere at this rate. Maybe you should've been kinder. Amatsutori's voice echoed in her mind.
I'm not the type to be kind. There's no need to be kind. Kindness leads to friendships, in which entail trust. You know I don't trust anyone. With that in mind, such negativity filled her heart.
Rin, don't make it seem like you don't like this guy. You obviously get along well with your bickering, which I can say is probably the most socializing you've done in a long time. He reflected upon the unknown painfull feelings of Rin's past. You're alone Rin. You want a friend in the least. I am a part of you, so I would know.... Think of it this way; if you start to let others in around you, you might be able to fully control Shakugan no Uchite, right? This made Rin look up from where she was staring off. She knew he was right, and Nakamura was probably right about her too. But what was she going to do?
Still hurt at his comments in which she took to heart, she thought that it was best to keep silent, but then that wouldn't make things any better. Rin turned around and quickly reached her arm out ready to grab his and stop him from walking away. "Look, I'm sorry, I guess I got a little out of hand..." apologizing was particularly hard for her and she couldn't stop herself from looking away due to shame and some unknown reason of a reflex. "...you're really not fat and ugly..." this next part almost killed her, "...you're actually pretty cute with nice emerald eyes..." she continued but mumbled that hoping he didn't hear. "And you're right, I am ugly on the inside!" This last part made Rin cringe like as if she was going to get hit from talking back. She didn't cringe away, she just stood there as if she would await for a hit to land. Doing so felt nostalgic, as if she should be used to all of it and taking in all forms of bad. Her mood had drastically gone down but she did her best to show a straight face that wouldn't be too offensive and make her apology seem fake. That last scenario reminded her of something, and that unknown something, was pain.

The inside of Akihiko was no different, with a debate going on three ways. His Hollow wanted to throttle the woman, one way or another. However, his Zapaku-to was railing him pretty good for going off on her like that. Akihiko, admittedly, had started the whole fight--he had no right getting out of hand as he did.
Admittedly, Akihiko was lonely. He'd been cooped up for the last month with no contact with anyone, save his Hollow and Zanpaku-to. While his Hollow made him want to slam his head against a wall repeatedly, Awaisubeta was the one thing that kept him sane. Maybe his social skills, or 'game' as he referred to it had suffered from the month long self imposed exile. Regardless, he had to admit he popped off in a bad fashion.
Her hand grabbed his forearm and he stopped, looking to her with furrowed brows. Whether it was anger or confusion likely wasn't obvious--and he wasn't too sure either. He looked at her and finally, he closed his eyes, a heavy sigh coming out from his noise.
Punch her fuckin' lights out Aki!
He ignored this comment from his Hollow.
Aki...
The warning sound from his Zanpaku-to served the wiser in this predicament, and when he opened his eyes, his brows were apologetic and he had a small smile on his face.
"Hey, I jumped from bickering to downright nasty for no reason. It's my fault, so don't trouble yourself with it, eh?"
When she said she was ugly on the inside, his smile faded and he gazed away. "Aren't we all," came a small grumble before he looked back.
"But I hardly think you ugly. You're a pretty woman, and fiery to boot--and that's a good thing. I've just...been out of contact with people for awhile...so I'm just sensitive I guess. Let's forget about it and start over."
With that he stepped back, bowed slightly before standing straight and giving a small flex with his left arm as he offered his right hand to her. "Akihiko Nakamura, Shinigami extraordinaire at your service. No autographs, please."
Rin noded in agreement to start again, though she didn't say anything about it afterwards. Nakamura had introduced himself again and it was as if his name jogged her memory. Akihiko Nakamura....Akihiko, Nakamura? Where else have I heard his name before. Maybe it's just because he's in my squad... I feel like I'm missing something.. She let the thought go for now thinking more details will come in later.
"Rin Hinote, 3rd seat of Squad 5. Melon bread v-shinigami. Nice to meet you Akihiko Nakamura." she took his hand in with her own. "Do you have a preference on what to be called?"
Post by Mercurious on May 23, 2012 22:19:27 GMT -5
When she took his hand he would have attempted to lean down and kiss the object if she so allowed.
Regardless he nodded at her. He had heard the name before--she was one of his superiors after all. "I've heard the name...but why melonbread...? Is that...your niche' or something?" He would have released her hand at this point, either way.
When she asked what his preference was he shrugged. "Well...my friend's call me Aki...but you can call me honey if ya'd like." He gave his usual, cocky grin at this and winked before he sighed and let it rest.
"You? Should I call you melon? Bread? Rinny? Sugarlumps?"
As Nakamura took her hand, he bend down as if to kiss it. At first Rin wasn't sure if she wanted such a gesture to be done; so she flinched but remained still and allowing him to do so. Her heart was suddendly beating faster than normal, studdering in its rhythm. She guessed that it was because she wasn't used to such a thing. Let alone any kiss that would ever be placed on her skin. Her face did feel much warmer than usual but she partially looked away so he wouldn't see her blush if she did.
A voice laughed at the back of her mind. It was Amatsutori enjoying such a revolution. Something deep inside her was upset though, but she easily ignored it since it was minor at the time.
Aki, huh? I know I've heard of him before... Rin had thought about it and remembered the several reports she had read since her return. Finally remembering something, she realised why Aki's name did have a hint of familiarity. His name was on one of those papers, possibly one of the missions. None of the missions that he had read were unsuccessful, but each had their fair share of loses.
Her thoughts were interupted with Aki's imaginative nicknames. Melon, bread, Rinny?? ......sugarlumps...? She wasn't too fond of those names, especially sugarlumps. "You can definately NOT call me sugarlumps.." she said with a sureness. Taking her hand back, Rin had crossed her arms, as if she were containing herself or keeping reserved. She still wasn't going to get too close, "Just call me Rin. It's short and easy enough to remember."
The thought of the papers she had read before started to crawl up in her mind. "Hey Aki, just wondering, but what exactly is your mission?" She had to find out one way or another. She could at least do that much for Kyreh, find out the whereabouts of her fellow members.
