He didn't care bout Zarrith's last words. Ryu only cared about the revenge that was now his. He turns his attention to Kaito as the arrancar speaks. He has to heal him, then get him out of this place. The arrancar cackles, then suddenly the ground erupts, the enormous worm exploding out of the ground. It's wriggling body twists and turns, showing off it's massive length, then, it turns around and dives for Kaito. Ryu dives forward, attempting to stop the creature from reaching it's target, but to no avail. It swallows him up with a large chunk of the ground, diving into the water briefly before turning around to face Ryu.
"No.... damn it. Let him go!" Ryu yells. If he recalled correctly none of his energy attacks would have much of an effect on this hollow. He had to use his speed and his scythe if he was going to free Kaito from this thing's insides.
"Thats it" Ryu thinks as he develops and idea. It might be crazy, but it just might work. He looks down at himself, he is still generating enormous quantities of power. Yes, it has to work. It lunges for him, opening it's mouth wide. Ryu was preparing to allow the creature to eat him, so he could generate too much energy for the creature to consume and cause it to explode, when suddenly a blast of flames shot out of the creature's mouth. Ryu jumps backwards quickly.
"what the? I didn't think it could do that" Ryu though for a moment, then, he caught a whiff of Kaito reiatsu. It was increasing at a rapid pace, as if Kaito was using the strategy Ryu was going to use. He watches as the events unfold in front of him. If he was able to unleash this kind of power, what was Kaito capable of?

Kaito felt the flames recede into his body and suddenly he was falling, every muscle ached and he felt thick and heavy exhaustion that seemed to lie on his very bones. He never felt the impact as he slammed onto the stone below cracking a rib, midway through the fall he slipped into a deep and comfortable darkness that engulfed everything.
The worm hollow swirled around it’s decapitated body glowing red as the wounds begin to seal over, the skin bubbles and energy swirls towards the center as the creature reaches brink of overload. The wounds healing over soon it would be larger and more powerful, while if it overloaded the explosion would be massive. |

Ryu watches as the flames engulf the worm, swirling in a torrent of red power. Dropping from the burning body of the creature, Kaito slams into the ground. Ryu had to take this chance to get his friend out of there and finish the job. Flash Stepping toward Kaito, Ryu places his arm around his chest, throwing one of Kaito's arms around Ryu's shoulders. He was still hot, Ryu could feel his body burning up. Enduring, Ryu flash stepping 20 feet away. The worm was beginning to recover, he had to act fast. Placing Kaito on the ground Ryu pointed a hand at him "Kyōmon". A small shimmer moves to form a circular sphere around Kaito, Ryu is able to see his own reflection in said barrier.
The worm had fully healed by now, it was time to put Ryu's former plan into action. He could overload the worm by letting off enough power, and the protective barrier he placed around Kaito should hold... Ryu gulps a bit. Now all he has to do is survive the blast. Shaking any doubt he had out of his head Ryu stares down the beast. It roars in anger, obviously wishing to consume it's lost mean.
"I don't think so" Ryu mumbles to himself. He then flash steps toward the creature, attempting to get it to take a bite of him. RYu would go straight for it's mouth, to ensure he was eaten. Once inside Ryu would begin his plan. He would raise his reiatsu to the maximum, as high as it would go. Lightning would blast off of the aura created by him, creating holes and burns where it struck. A glowing yellow spot can be seen where Ryu is inside the worm as his aura explodes within it.
Ryu yells, all of his power being used in this one assault. He was trying to get the worm to absorb too much energy, resulting in it's death.

The worm twists and shakes throwing Ryu out of it's mouth as it begins to convulse in pain growing and slamming into the cave wall and ceiling over and over again. The cavern begins to fall apart piece by piece the stone ceiling comes falling down, a large stalactite falling and impaling the worms head pinning it to the ground as sunlight bursts into the room from the now open ceiling as the once beautiful cavern becomes a rocky grave for anyone caught within.

Ryu flies from the worm's mouth, landing on his back and rolling on the ground. He slowly makes his way to his feet, then looks to the worm. It shakes and convulses, slamming into the walls and crying out in pain. Ryu looks toward Kaito, the barrier seemed to be holding up well, but he needed to get the both of them out of there as quick as he could. He flash steps next to Kaito, and breaks the Kyomon with the wave of his hand. He picks him up slowly, throwing Kaito's arm over his shoulder, and placing a hand around Kaito's waist. Looking up to the sun light beating in Ryu leaps upward, flash stepping toward the exit.
Sunlight blinded him slightly at first, then the nice cool air hit his skin. It felt good to be out of that cave. As Ryu lands he suddenly feels a wave of exhaustion hit him. He falls to his knees, his eyes becoming heavy. The aura surrounding him vanishes and his zanpakuto reverts back to normal. Ryu then falls forward, his eyes closing, pushing him into a deep sleep.
Kaito would awake several hours later and notice Ryu passed out on the ground
(OOC: Please end it. Ryu is going to be passed out for quite some time, so be creative)

Kaito woke and rubbed his head his skin stung and every muscle ached, on the ground next him is the unconscious form of Ryu. Standing he looked at the mountain rubbing his head a bit as he did, it was in rubble a massive crater of smoldering rock and rubble stood before him. Looking around he can feel the reiatsu of several shinigami rushing towards him. They appeared all around him members of the various squads swords drawn ready to fight. A man who was obviously in charge of the operation stepped forward sheathing his blade as he recognized the Vice-Captain in front of him.
The shinigami stood rigid his voice echoing with poise and discipline. ”Sir, what happened here”. Kaito dismissed the mans question his instincts taking over as he assumed command of the group. ”Get some twelfth division members here and secure the area I am taking Ryu to the fourth division, and then ill give a full report”. Kaito grabbed Ryu flinging him over his shoulder the very motion hurt but his friend needed help, as soon as Ryu hit his shoulder Kaito dashed off towards the fourth division his mind swirling with questions he hoped Ryu could answer.
