Walking on an empty beach... Seems sorta lonely.
That's what Ureshi thought as she started to walk on the beach, or rather, as Ureshi danced across the beach. She smiled to herself as she dance-walked, flexing her toes every third step she took. It was sometime around five, and it looked pretty calm today. Tranquil.
Hm... It's just a little too lonely... I guess.
She shrugged to herself as she walked, err, danced over the beach. She was having yet another girlish moment as she looked upward and purposely fell back on to the sand. Her left arm went on her stomach and she pointed at clouds, reciting word-for-word what she read in a world record book. She suddenly felt someone was coming though and she sat up, cross legged and bits of sand sticking in her hand as she cheerfully waved and smiled, her hand forming a single arc before she jumped to her feet and chimed, "Hi!" in her usual cheery voice.

It was rare for Bethany to change her schedule, but for once she didn't feel like skateboarding and decided to go to the beach. She was wearing her usuall white tank top and beige 3 quarter length combats. She was surprised as she entered the beach that she was greeted by a cheery girl. She smiled and moved a hand through her brown hair.
"Hey. I'm Bethany. Who are you?" she said walking over to her and sitting down next to her extending a hand for her to shake in friendship.

Grabbing her hand and shaking it, Ureshi smiled and said, "Ureshi. Nice to meet ya!"
She smiled widely, as she always did. She used her free hand to brush some of the sand out of her hair, her fingers like the teeth of a comb as the sand piled beside her. She sat back down, her usual carefree and happy expression scrawled across her face as she pulled her other hand back after a quick shake. She was glad that she was wearing jeans and a plain red t-shirt today as a breeze came in that was slightly chilling on her bare forearms.
She grabbed her ankles, pulling her crossed legs towards her slightly and she thought if she might have seen this girl before. It took her a few moments to figure it out that she didn't, at most she saw her on the streets somewhere although it was extremely doubtful that they spoke anything more than an 'excuse me' to eachother, assuming they spoke at all. She just shrugged and smiled.

She looked at this girl. "So what are you doing on the beach today anyway?" she asked trying to make some conversation with her. She sat there quietly waiting for an answer and trying to think of something else to say or perhaps an explanation for why she was there. It was quite difficult for her to think of a reason other then a change of scenery.

"Aw, I don't need a reason for everything I do." She scratched the back of her head as the next words were chimed. "Actually, I don't remember. Hahaha..."
She's got that feeling about her too. Just like a few of those other people I've seen. That energy... What was it called anyways? I could ask her but... Eh, it's probably not that big a deal.
Ureshi brought her hands down behind her, digging up a slight amount of sand in her hands, letting it fall between the gaps in her fingers grain-by-grain. She started to count the clouds that were passing by mentally as she waited for Bethany's response.

Bethany sighed deeply. "I know what you mean." she said with a chuckle. "The beach is totally out of chracter for me." She pulled out what appeared to be a cell phone. She looked at it for a moment and nodded. It was definate this girl had above average spiritual power. However, she wasn't going to mention it. She pulled her skateboard off her back and began to spin one of the wheels absent mindedly. The board was a standard black one with a twin dragon motif on the base and crimson wheels.
There was not a lot to say to someone you didn't know, but she decided to go with one of the more cliche phrases. "Its a beautiful day today. Don't you think?" she said with a smile. "Barely a cloud in the sky." It was quiet and peaceful perhaps a little too peaceful.

Ureshi nodded as she said the beach was totally out of character, although on the inside she was thinking, who doesn't like the beach?
When she took out the phone Ureshi shrugged mentally, her cheerful expression undisturbed on her face. She had no idea what she was nodding about and she didn't want to be too pushy but the words came out of her mouth before she could stop them:
"Do you see ghosts too? And the monsters with the masks?" She mentaly slapped her forehead.
Baka! I shouldn't have just blurted that out randomly like that!
She quickly shifted her gaze out over the water, her expression still remaining completely hidden. She thought about how she had seen a few others on the street who had the same energy about them, but she didn't show it on her face. She just shrugged and smiled like always.

"Yes I do." she said calmly rising to her feet and re-strapping her skateboard to her back. "I assume you get regular attacks due to your high level of reiatsu." she added simply smiling at her new friend. She crossed her arms and stared out to see. Was that a hollow's reiatsu she sensed out to sea? Or something else? If it was an arrancar then she was getting this girl out of here. THey were too powerful for either of them to deal with. She stood waiting to see if it was just another hollow. She glanced around and then pulled out her phone again.
"Hollow." she said quietly pocketing the phone. She pulled out her quincy cross and created her spirit bow. Taking careful aim she aimed her bow out to sea. The waves were getting stronger. It seemed this hollow manipulated water to drown humans before absorbing their souls. A strange tactic, but a way of getting multiple feeds at once. She stepped back about 10ft and beckoned Ureshi over. "Stay away from the water for now. I sense a hollow."

Ureshi looked at bethany, who appeared to be lost in thought, despite the fact that she was speaking to her. As she put her skateboard back over her back, Ureshi wondered what she was thinking about. She thought about possibly saying something, but she decided against it, and waited to see if she would say it herself. When she said, "hollow," and checked her phone, she thought for a moment of what she was talking about. She watched as a bow of spirit energy formed around her hand and suddenly it occured to her what she was talking about.
So that's what those monsters are called. Hollow.
Ureshi walked over to Bethany as she stepped back and she felt the reiatsu and nodded. She knew what was happening, well, mostly anyways. Almost involuntarily, a few rose petals of reaitsu started to form around Ureshi's hand. She looked at the bow, thinking that that must be Bethany's power. She noticed that she was forming a rose petal in the palm of her hand, subconsiously from dealing with hollows so much. She clenched it in her hand and the reiatsu sealed itself back into her own body. She looked at the water, thinking for a moment, finally asking, "What's that bow?"
She must have powers too.

"Its a bow made out of spirit particles." she replied quietly forming an arrow of the same energy and closing one way to aim it at where she sensed the oncoming hollow was coming from. "I'm a quincy and unlike the shinigami I destroy hollows rather then purifying them as if their sins did not matter." She wondered what Ureshi's reaction to this statement would be.
However, she was more interested in the hollow. She could see it now. It was quite a large hollow, but size was not a definition of power. Afterall, it was said the vasto lorde, the most powerful of hollow, were humanoid in size and shape. However, its reiatsu defined it as a strong hollow, though not a menos. She waited the arrow still aimed perfectly. All she had to do was wait for it to get a bit closer and then she would let loose her arrow.
