Sasuke walked towards the injured Maria ignoring her question for the moment he says nothing as vines fly out of his back wrapping on either side of Maria's injured shoulder squeezing and cutting off the circulation his eye's show a fierce concentration as he says "Bloom". A small onion like plant sprouts in his hand, squeezing it the juice flows into Maria's wound causing it to burn like hell and begin to fizzle with black bubbles.
"Poison from the Habu snake, they lived in the area several years ago and the venom is just as potent as ever, the plant contains a sort of anti-venom, your stomach might bother you for a bit but you'll live."
Untangling his vines off Maria a long hallway can be seen in the coffin the stair seem to descend down into blackness and there is a distinct odor of decay and death.
"The lower crypt is a maze of booby traps and graves, the one we are looking for should be cast in gold, but I've never seen it before... We have to get moving though once the graves been opened the chamber to the scroll seals in sixteen hours. We have to find the seal of Ellrin before that happens."
Sasuke finishes his statement descending down the long narrow stairway illuminated by his vines they reach a large stone door with no handles it looks almost like a stone wall with the picture of a door painted on. There are two buttons on the door, both covered in cob webs and dust Sasuke reads the archiac symbols etched just above each button.

Maria groaned as the plant oozed juices. "Did I even ask for your help? Like I said I have dealt with traps before and I knew they would be coated with poison. Although I didn't know what kind I could have dealt with it." Maria watches as the vines recede back into Sasuke's body and he continues down the corridor. Stupid kid and his scroll.
Maria stood up and limped over to the wall. She took out of her pocket a small first aid kit and from it a bandage wrap. She bound her arm and put the supplies back in her pocket. She walked over to the coffin and stepped inside going to the far end where the wall was. She looked at the runes and found they were similar to a language of a cult back in Brazil. She could only make out a few words though.
seek justice find truth, find truth seek justice Maria thought for a moment and then decided. She put one palm on the button labeled truth and the other on the one labeled justice. She pressed in justice and then waited three seconds and then pressed in truth.

The room shakes and dust seems to pour from the ceiling as a wall snaps down behind them spikes coming out all around them the walls seem to be closing in. Sasuke releases vines from throughout his body trying to push the closing death trap, but they can barely even slow them down. The walls herd the two together into a small space about three feet by three feet, the spikes barely an inch away from Sasukes face when the ground beneath them crumbles and breaks dropping them down almost fifteen feet into a lower chamber, the spiked walls snapping shut above them blocking any escape.
Sasuke sits up his eyes moving in and out of double vision as he attempts to shake off the blow from the landing. Standing up a little off balance he looks around as the light from his vines spread through out the room. Cold muddy water lines the bottom of the chamber about an inch deep, the walls seem to be made of solid stone the eight by fifteen foot room has no exit's no windows and there seems to be no way out. In the center of the room is a large stone table carved into it, in the same langauge as before is a short passage.
Sasuke reads it slowly making his way along the passage keeping what it says to himself, wondering what to do next....
THE PASSAGE

When Maria pressed in the last button chaos started. A wall sealed them off from the outside and the walls began coming in. She ran to the back hoping to get out, but to no avail. The floor collapsed underneath them and they fell into a cold dark chamber below their previous floor. To Maria's surprise she could see a little sparkle of light above them like a small crack was there.
I might be able to get up there with some help. "Hey Sasuke can you help me with this?" Maria looked over to see him standing there reading a tablet in the center of the room. He wouldn't budge or speak. "Fine you can sacrifice your time with these stupid riddles... You know I never even wanted to come down here anyway." She said in that "It's all your fault" attitude.
Maria walked over to the wall and felt along it for any inconsistencies in the stone walls. She searched all over till she found an odd pattern of moss growing where it normally did not. Maria clawed at the moss and revealed a crack running along a rectangular space. "Bingo"
Maria pulled her gun from it holster on her right hip. "This is Jeramy. Hes got me through a lot of sticky situations." She kissed the side of the barrel. "come on help me with this." She grabbed the action and with a jerk backward coked it. "Bala Santamente."
The gun shot and the wall was destroyed in an explosion of stone, dust, and earth. What was left was a hole the size of a small man. Maria stepped forward and ducked into the hole walking forward a few feet. She turned around and faced sasuke. "You coming?"

Sasuke looks at Maria clutching his stomach a little bit he turns away with lightly labored breathing she had used reiatsu and it caught him off guard he almost let the hunger out. Straightening out the skin on his face ripples a little as the vines beneath fade away once again leaving Sasuke to himself. Turning he looks at the hole that Maria made, if he goes through he would leave the path and possibly never find his way back yet at the same time he didn’t know what to do with the tablet.
Stepping through the hole he speaks softly but sternly his voice riddled with worry. ” Thanks…. Please warn me if your going to use that gun again caught me off guard.”. Placing his hand on the wall of the adjacent room he calls out ”Bloom”. Glowing moss grows out of his hand spreading along the walls of the hallway on the other side of the hall. A door sits on either side of the hallway, each exactly the same made of wood with rusty iron hinges. Stepping out into the hallway Sasuke hit’s the ground as a barrage of darts fire over him in response to the click of a pressure switch. Looking up at Maria he says,
”Looks like we have to pick a direction, but I get the feeling that this is only going to get harder… The treasure rooms supposed to be in the east lower labyrinth, any idea which direction that is?” |

Maria smiled and holstered the gun making sure it was fixed so she wouldn't go trigger happy. "Sorry about that." She looked around her and at the two doors. This maze is getting on my nerves
"Well lets see. We came in the library going east and went north through the cavern and through the coffin. And then... We lost it." Maria sat down on the hard packed ground. "Wait. The moss grows on the north side. So that means to our left is east."
Maria jumped up. "Haha. I found it." She moved over to the left door. and opened it. It was dark and smelled musty. "Well this looks like the last leg of the journey. Aren't you glad I came along?"

Sasukes fired vines out speeding past Maria and into the room she was about to enter the vines begin wilting and dying almost the moment they enter the room.
”Sulfur poisoning, The rooms filled with it, it’s basically in every wrong turn. I grew the moss it doesn’t have to grow on the north side. But at least we know which way is right." Sasuke walks to the right door swinging it open to reveal a large steel wall bolted down with what appeared to be new screws. Standing confused and agitated Sasuke rubs his hand down the wall it is cold but heat can be felt from the other side. Placing his ear close to the wall he can here two people talking.
”So whats the news with you and Janice”
”Not sure man, she tends to be a bit mean at times I can’t tell how I sit in her book. Now help me carry this stuff out. The boiler room gives me the creeps
Sasuke turns a confused look on his face,
”Well that’s the boiler room, which is to the south, which means the other door was north? And east is through this wall.” |

Maria stared at the room she was about to go in with a look that could only say, "I was gonna die." The vines fell and shriveled on the floor. She backed up to the other side of the hall "Well maybe the rule only applies to trees."
Maria tried to calm herself and then shut the door so gases would be less tempted to wander. She then turned around to examine the wall. It was made of a simple steel made with tungsten to keep the heat in. The rivets visable on the wall were compressed on both sides. This was strange as you had to be on both sides to do it. "Looks like someone has already been down here. So you think we should continue with the treasure hunt, or investigate the visitors?"
