An odd day (open)

It was beautiful wednesday afternoon 82 and sunny not a cloud could be seen in the sky. Sasuke was lying down on the edge of the schools roof he didn't got there of course, he looked twelve. on his ears are large headphones the strap messing up his silver hair. Looking over out into the school yard Sasuke sighed, he would never got to high school he was twelve forever. This had been Sasukes mindset for the past few days recently he had begun to miss his humanity and mortality and the whole process just confused and angered him.

Lying back he listened to the music on his head phones, pushing them off his ears and around his neck the booming music cow filled the roof. Sasuke smiled he loved noise canceling headphones he had stolen them from a store about three hours ago and hadn't taken them off yet. He sat up his stomach grumbling he reached into his pocket pulling out a canvas back dumping the contents on the ground all that was inside was soil. Holding one hand over the pile he calls out "Bloom", A strawberry bush rose from the dirt reaching out he picked three large red strawberries, the bush dying and collapsing into soil as he picks the last of them. With a smile he takes a big bite the red juice running down the sides of his mouth.

So this is a public school? Maria thought it looked dull and boring. "well lets see what we can find here." She walked toward the front of the building. She jumped on top, turning around to see what could be seen. Yep same scene nothing different. She walked to the back and did the same.
Something caught her eye. She looked and saw a bush on top of the building over. She looked past it and saw a boy sitting up there with head phones. Maria jumped forward to get to the other roof. "Hey there kid what are ya thinking sitting up here. do you want to fall off and break your neck."

Sasuke looks as a girl jumped from roof to roof, smiles and then wobbells a little bit grabbing on to the cill of a window a few inches "WHoops!, AHHHHHHHHHHHH HAHAHAHAHA". Sasuke jumps back up to the roof landing on the pile of dirt that was once the bush laughing. "HAHA you should have seen your face it was priceless". Sasuke walks towards Morie looking her up and down as he circles around her, "So your human?". Sasuke then pulls a pinwheel lollipop out form the pockets of his baggy shorts, puling off the wrapper and licking the side standing in front of Maria.

"You're right. My name is Maria Araujo and i just came to this town a few weeks ago. And im guessing you're not human? And if so what does that make you? I mean not many people are so short and wimpy yet they can make a bush appear where it should not be."
Maria hopped over to the dirt pile and examined it. She kicked it and wtched the dirt fly away. She turned back to him. "I forgot you're name. What did you say it was"

Sasuke walks back to the edge of the roof plopping down and lying back using his cupped hands as a pillow his back towards the edge he looks at Maria "I didn't say", Sasuke smiles chuckling a little, "But my name is Sasuke Gintama, and I don't appreciate being called short or wimpy". Sasuke jumps up when he finishes his statement obviously a bit annoyed by Maria's comment. He walks over, sweeping up the remaining dirt into his bag then shaking the pretty much empty sac. "Ya know I don't go around kicking your stuff, ya jerk"

"Well im sorry i didn't know this was yours? Il get you some more if you're really worried about it. But you still haven't answered my question." Maria smiled. "You hiding something?" She jumped down to the ground and compacted enough dirt to replace the now floating specks on the wind. She hopped back up and handed the dirt to the kid. "Tell me. Have you seen anything unusual or out of the ordinary recently?"

Sasuke walks towards Maria, one hand pulling the bag out of his pocket the other holding the lollipop, standing in front of Maria he says,"Unusual, out of the ordinary.... No not really" Sasuke finishes his statement a vine growing out of his temple and wrapping around the lollipop's stem lifting it out of his hand. "Oh thank you", He then uses both hands to scoop the dirt into the bag putting it away and taking the lollipop back from the vine as it recedes inside him, "Have you seen anything unusual?" he asks in a 'your not that bright' kind of tone.

Maria laughed. "Other than you or that vine.. No nothing." She sighed. today was an odd day; in feeling and in people. She stepped toward the edge and sat down hanging her legs off the side. She looked over the area, and saw the kids coming out of the school. "Hey. May I ask why you're not down there with the other kids?"

Sasuke smiles walking over to the edge and looking at the group of High school students on the ground below, His eyes flashes for a second with hunger, one of them had a bit of spiritual energy but not enough to care about. Oh well he then turned towards the girl on the roof with him, thinking to himself 'maybe I should eat her... yea but human just doesn't satisfy like hollow.'

"well among a few other reasons, I'd throw down that this is a high school, and im twelve and can grow vines outta my head... So I don't go here they have a stricter curriculum then I am interested in. Why aren't you down there with the rest of them?"

"Well some kids look their age but are not. But i don't look that young. Do I?" She winked at him, and laughed inside. "But I am older than I look. I'm actually 73. And let me tell you, don't make to many friends. When you're like us They will just die off before you get a chance to say hello." Maria turned and saw that look, the same look that the "vampires" get. She laughed out loud and stood up. She walked over to him and layed her arm across his shoulder. "Why are you so tense?" she brushed her hair back, and looked in his eyes. "Do i smell good to you?"
