With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.

Halibel stayed in Karakura Town as she laid low.
She managed to dramatically lower her spiritual pressure thanks to figuring out how to make a Gigai out of her own spirit particles, which was a pain in the butt. It was a matter of redirecting the particles that ... it's a long story.
Regardless, she blended in with the people of Karakura town, though she did have a spiritual pressure that could be picked up, but it didn't much hint at the monstrous capacity of power she had. It was the best she could do in terms of "laying low" for now.
And where was she exactly?
At a karaoke bar.
She sat at a booth wearing a leather jacket zipped up with sheepskin gloves, and loose khakis, and heeled boots on under that. Halibel forewent the facial covering and allowed anyone that looked at her a glimpse at her true face. Her overall appearance was a mixture of her normal, and ressureccion form.
She has a drink on the table of her booth she sits at, and she sits alone.
Halibel listened to the noise of the crowd that blended into a mix of nothing that can be understood. Over it all, the music could be heard. Men singing like cats being neutered with no anesthesia.
Her gaze drifted towards the door, and she saw a blue bob cut on someone that nearly had her leap out of her seat, but no,... the owner of the hairstyle turned, and it wasn't Apache...
It wasn't the first time... not the first time she thought she saw her Fraccion.
Lucia quietly walked into the Karaoke bar, nobody really noticing the arrancars presence. She brushed her long, icy blue hair out of her face. She was pretty confused as to why she was actually here, she had no reason to be in the human world in the first place. It would seem as if she was just answering to impulse. Lucia began to wonder around the bar in an absent minded way, nobody payed mind to her, as it would seem that no one noticed her. After wandering around for a few minutes, she felt as if someone had actually seen her, that somebody was staring at her from nearby. She looked around warily, thinking that she might find a shinigami or a human who could see her, but there was no panic.

Halibel definitely noticed the Arrancar that entered the Karaoke bar. Her attention locked onto the girl.
What an awkward situation. Halibel thought calmly to herself as she realized that only one were in any sort of gigai, and thus if Halibel spoke to the girl in public, she would be speaking to herself in the eyes of most of the mortals about.
She bided her time, then as a group of persons passed her by, and hid her from the rest of the club, she dissipated her shell which revealed her as her an Arrancar.
Halibel walked calmly towards Lucia in the same outfit she always wore when not in her resurrección.
Halibel was not sure why she was drawn to the woman like this, and her mind grasped for reasons, but she felt that curiosity was the largest contributor to the urge.
The girl did not seem to be an Espada from her spiritual pressure, and it invoked something in Halibel. A desire to protect the young Arrancar. As she moved like a moth to the flame she struggled to think up something to say.
"You seem to be looking for something, or someone," she said to the girl in a calm tone from behind the high collar that covered most of her face, and even more of the hollow mask that remained. Her eyes were not exactly cold, but neither did they seem overly friendly, and they certainly did not shot any of the internal confusion Halibel felt.
Lucia spun around quickly, noticing the woman who now stood behind her. "I'm not sure" Lucia replied, still seeming a bit distant. Lucia stared at the woman for a few second before she realized that something about her felt really familiar. "Y-you" she stuttered in astonishment. "Have I seen you before?" she asked in a surprised tone. Lucia couldn't remember when or where, but she was certain she had seen this woman before. Her spiritual pressure was enormous, far stronger than most of the Espada she knew. Just who was she?

"Likely, but not recently," Halibel said flatly as she replied to the young Arrancar as she stood casually, her arms crossed under her bosom which likely helped with her posture as one would have to be superhuman to handle the weight up front they added.
"I am Tia Halibel," she introduced herself, now free of the habit of saying she is the Trese Espada as she was not. She still had the tattoo, however. Vanity demanded she not mar her body unnecessarily. To hell with tradition. She clung to the past, and her memories. It was all she had.
She wasn't aware of every Arrancar, so she didn't have that look of recognition in her eyes as she looked at Lucia. There was so much turmoil in the ranks when she left, and many of the new faces were unknown to her.
"Tia....Hallibel?" Lucia said in a puzzled tone. Lucia's eyes widened in amazement. "The former Tres Espada!" Lucia began to blush. To think she had spoken to her like any common arrancar. "I'm sorry for speaking to you so informally lady Halibel" with this apology, she bowed.
Lucia was truly honored by the presence of this woman. After all, her purpose was to serve the Espada. Even those who were only former Espada were her "Masters".
Lucia regained her composure and calmed down, pausing a moment before speaking again. "But if I may ask, what is milady doing here in Karakuru town?" Lucia asked, her voice seeming much more calm and even. Her icy blue eyes were still filled with admiration instead of the coldness they usually contained. Halibel was a legend in Hueco Mundo, but Lucia could only remember seeing her once or twice.

"Yes, former. There is no need to treat me as an Espada any longer," she said calmly, and perhaps with a sense of humility as she waved a hand to emphasize she should stop with the royal treatment. She wasn't the sort to demand it from people. She earned her Fraccion's fanatic loyalty by being close to them.
While she had the power to take a position, she did not feel the ego driving her to do so. She was content to lay low.
"I am laying low for now, that is all," she said softly. She wasn't really doing anything more than that, so there wasn't much more she could say about what she were doing. All she knew is it beat the heck out of staying out in the white desert, and even Las Noches which was as boring as the sand in Hueco Mundo. She wasn't sure but Halibel felt she were acquiring a taste for the mortal's world, and that might be dangerous.
Lucia looked a bit puzzled at Halibel's response. "I'm not sure if I understand your motives, but I will not question them Milad.... I mean, Miss Halibel". Lucia felt slightly awkward saying this. She wasn't used to treating someone who deserved so much respect with such informalities. But for whatever reason she was staying here, it must have some importance to Halibel "I-I'm sorry miss Halibel, I haven't disturbed you, Have I?" Lucia asked suddenly.
If Halibel-sama was in hiding, it would obviously mean that she didn't want to be found. Lucia worried that she may have discovered Halibel when she didn't want to be found. However, she didn't seem very angry at her. Lucia wasn't exactly sure what the former espada was thinking

"You have not disturbed me," in fact the Arrancar had relieved her of loneliness... maybe being alone was what affected her so, and made her pine for the companionship of others which lead to her longings for her Fraccion...
"I don't believe I've caught your name," she said calmly to her. Perhaps her voice became a slight warmer. "And what brings you to Karakura town?" she asked rather curiously. Most Arrancar came to raise hell, there were always exceptions, like herself. Those who could go 5 minutes without making things break, and lives end.
She wasn't sure if Shinigami would appear here, but she was certain that she would make sure this one got home. She would not let history repeat itself, even thugh this girl was not her Fraccion.
Lucia smiled slightly. There was something about this woman that really warmed Lucia. In hueco mundo, Lucia sought to win acceptance and trust from the Espada. She did what she was told without hesitation and completed her missions without failure, yet she was always ignored by those she idolized like gods. It left her with an empty feeling, that her existence was still meaningless and useless. Halibel sama was the first person to ever treat her this way, and she hadn't even done anything to deserve it.
"My name is Lucia Isaksen" Lucia replied calmly, trying not to display the inner confusion she felt inside. Lucia had become a bit distant again, lost in her thoughts. She was slow to respond to Halibel-sama's next question. "I-I'm not really sure why I came here" Lucia began to explain quietly. "My superiors hadn't needed me for so long, I..... My mind began to go blank, I became unaware of what I was doing. Somehow I ended up being drawn to a place like this.". Lucia felt embarrassed, having just revealed her personal thoughts.
