With the Captains suffering casualties and heavy injuries on their side, all hope seemed to be lost... until Shinji Hirako appeared, along with the rest of the former Shinigami. Though the aid of the Vizards certainly helped to draw the battle in their favor, it seemed Aizen's power alone proved too much for them.
Once Aoide got her breath back, yep Kenpachi was diffiently getting more bold with his display of affection, "For one I have never let her into my apartment, in fact I have no idea how she keeps getting in there. I've found her several time after partol in there playing with my instruments and human things. I've had to hide all of my adult things in places she can't reach," Aoide said sounding irriated and blew those few rebellious hairs out of her face, "And several events have been when we think we're safe for the morning and I wake up and there she is staring at me. It's creepy, she has a weird smile on her face and scissors in her hand. How in the hell is a child her age getting huge ass scissors like that? I doubt you have a sewing kit she's getting them out of."
"First daughter you've never had," Aoide then corrected Kenpachi sounding rather matter of fact holding up her finger, "There's always time to have others."

He chuckled. "Yea, she has a knack for showing up where she ain't wanted. That's just Yachiru. She don't mean no harm in it though, she's just havin' fun. I'm sure she must've followed me to yer place before or somethin'... that's probably it."
He sighed and pulled her closer to him as they entered the large gate and began to make their way down the streets of Seretei. "Though ya must be a goddess ta put up with her if she keeps wantin' to cut yer hair. It's probably the pigtails that're amusin' to her. She ain't see many girl's with 'em."
"First daughter you've never had."There's always time to have others."
He laughed heartily and pulled her to his chest, breathing in her scent. There they went again, they were getting stares from everyone.
"Ya keep talkin' like that and I might need ta take ya home with me." He whispered huskily into her ear.
Aoide smiled, "I know she doesn't, besides a lot of the time when she sneaks into my living quarters and she hasn't destoryed anything we usually just hang out, I read her some stories, we make tea, and I usually bake up a cake to go with the tea," Aoide's eyes softened slightly, she didn't want to admit it, but during times like that she could almost love the little girl, she then smirked, "Yeah it's not really a popular hairstyle with Shinigami women, though one time I put her hair up in pigtails too, so Kawaii," Aoide sighed happily, "Except when she yanks on them and runs off with them in her hands. You know she practically halfway dragged me though the Gotei before I got my balance again?"
Aoide let out a comfortable sigh as she was pulled back into Kenpachi's chest, it was addictive how geed it felt to be there, his whispering in her ear caused goosebumps to crawl her over her skin, "For what, practice? Baka," she grinned pushing his face away with her hand. Then Aoide's stomach growled, reminding her that the two of them never had the chance to eat breakfast and it was bout noon.
"That's good to know that yer gettin' along with the squirt." He chuckled, continuing to pull her along. He didn't really know where they were headed, but he was going to pull her along anyways. "She's a good kid, Yachiru... she just needs a better parent then meh."
When he heard her stomach growl, he just laughed. "We really didn't get to eat, didn't we? Our food is probably rottin' by now."
He sighed and dragged her in the direction that he thought was the general food-court area, when he paused. "Err... which way ta the food court?"
He knew better than to trust his own wits in directions.
"Whoa, whoa, I'm not exactly sure I'm the type of influence that Yachiru should be having!" Aoide said throwing up her arms in defense. "She should be hanging out with Unahana, or Isane, hell I bet Yamichika would be a better influence then I would. She needs someone she can look up to, not some clumbsy, fight loving, with the tendency to let the wrong things slip out of her mouth, type. Besides, you've done a great job so far, they say if the child is still living it's good parenting," Aoide said giving a thumbs up before grinning nervously, "...I'm never going to get rid of her am I?" she said her shoulder slumping in that realization. "Least it'll be two against one when you go and try to do something stupid," she said smirking.
"Um the food court, lets see," Aoide said tapping her chin, before looking at Kenpachi, "You know all that stuff is unhealthy, and I've never cooked for you before. well there was that cake, but Yachiru got it first."
Kenpachi laughed, his smile spreading across his face. "It ain't that bad. Hell, I haven't killed her, what does that tell ya?"
True, Yachiru did occassionally piss the hell out of him with her hyperactive ways, but she meant well. And because of that, he could never really stay mad at her. She was the first person that was never afraid of him, and that was something he respected.
Aoide wasn't scared of him either, which confused the hell out of him... but at the same time, in made her unresistable. Kind of like a moth to the flame.
"Oh, want me in yer house that bad huh?" He jeered and smiled, before nodding. "Yer cookin' would sound good right now. As long as your ain't tryin' to kill me or nothin'."
He smirked, knowing full well that Aoide Sato would never try to kill him. That was a good thing too, because food poisoning might as well render him a dead man.
"Ya ever tested yer cookin' on a human?" He smiled, raising an eyebrow in her direction and shaking his head, kissing her on the forehead before she could complain. "I'm just jokin'."
"Psh you like my house, and if you're a good boy, I might play some music for you," she said patting him on the head as he kissed her forehead. She had only done it once before, he had laid out on the larger couch while she sat in another holding a human guitar. The look on his face seemed so relaxed when she played it had warmed her to the core with affection. "Nah, I have some ingredients for some food I've been meaning to make. I know I know, no Natto Yachiru already warned me about your dislike for it, "Aoide made a face she didn't particualrly like soybeans or red bean paste anyway. "Lets see," she said looking thoughtful, "I can make some fish, rice, maybe some shrimp, eh I think I'll just surprise you," Aoide grinned slipping her hand in Kenpachi's.
He smiled back and entwined his fingers with her, brushing his thumb against the back of her thumb as they walked along. Gods he loved her, couldn't she say that? And when he had said that, she didn't even tell him that she felt the same way.
But he couldn't doubt her, of course he couldn't. After all, she was with him, wasn't she?
"Heh." He grunted, reaching brushing some loose hairs out of her face. "Yer amazin', you know that? Ya know too much about meh."
He laughed, she definitely knew one thing, he loved her music. It was like being the most relaxed he had been in centuries, and he loved it.
"N' yea," He added it afterthought. "I really do love yer place."
"It is a girlfriend's duty to know stuff about her boyfriend, such as favorite food, least favorite food, hobbies, and other likes and dislikes. That's what Vice-Captain Matsumoto's magazines said, well right after 101 sexual positions that will drive him crazy," she said and looked a little confused, "Though from month to month it just seemed like they were publishing the same moves under different names," she said and chuckled a little, "And even if you did like Natto, I can't stand soybeans or red bean paste so you'd have to turn elsewhere for that food."
"You only like my place because I'm there, food is there, and you can actually get some peace and quiet, it's nothing special," Aoide said blushing furiously, she liked her living quarters too, particularly when Kenpchi was there too. "I love it when you're at my place, by the way," she said shyly.
